Rusty & Ruby

This morning the pups and I went out while they took their potty break. It was a bit chilly out this morning, so Ruby peed, then raced back inside. She waited by her bowl, ready to eat. I got both pups their breakfast, then went to feed the others. Salem was happy for her pets. Rusty was ready to play this morning, but still no sign of either of his favorite balls. I grabbed the newer red one and surprisingly, he settled. We got a nice game in this morning. This afternoon, the pups joined me out back. Ruby was quick to do her business. I turned around, and Rusty was standing behind me, wiggling his heiny. He was happy to show me he found his favorite red ball! Ruby explored, while Rusty and I got a nice game of fetch in. This evening, Rusty met me outside. Ruby was inside, waiting to eat. Haha. I fed those two, then the big kids. I went back inside to check waters, and Ruby was standing by her bowl again. I think she wanted a second helping. Haha! She came outside with me and did her business. Ruby sat on the porch by me for her pets, while Rusty played a long game of fetch.

Bella & Zoe

This morning the girls were ready to head outside. It was a bit more chilly out there today. Bella let me know she was ready to go inside. The girls and I went in and I got them their breakfast. Zoe had her little piggy toy and was being a silly girl! She came over and played a little tug, then would fetch it if I tossed it for her. Bella joined in the fun too. She got the toy and held it while Zoe tried to steal it away. Bella sat with me for some pets after that. We went back outside for a little while. The girls did a little more exploring this time. When we went in, they both worked on their breakfast for me. Bella finished her bowl off, and Zoe was busy nibbling.

Waldo, Otis & Mabel

Today I came in and Waldo was first to greet me, as usual! He was quite talkative today, telling me all about what they've been up to. Haha. He pawed at the counter, letting me know he was ready to eat. Otis came by the kitchen once he heard me opening cans, then made his way through the living room. He waited until the plates got set down before venturing in to eat. Mabel was in her spot on the bed, watching me cautiously. I cleaned their box quick, then went to go say hi to her. She hopped down and made a break down the hall to go hide in one of the other rooms. The boys had snacked on their food and were now ready to play. I had both of them chasing after the butterfly toy for awhile today.

Oscar

Today I came in and spotted Oscar doing a great big stretch in the living room. He trotted over to say hi when he was done, then we went out back. Oscar wanted a few more pets and heiny scratches before he wandered off. He sniffed around the yard for a little bit, then found a spot to relax in the shade. He had lots of wildlife entertainment this afternoon! Haha. Oscar lounged and watched the moos grazing nearby. A couple birds came and had a little argument on the fence. Then later, I saw Oscar had his sight locked on a squirrel that was sitting on the top rail of the fence. I told him to go get it and he got up and moved to where he could see better. He curled up and watched some more. Later on, another squirrel came and they were chasing each other. That got Oscar racing after them as they shot straight up a tree! He stood up against the tree and whined for a minute. He would keep walking away, then would turn around and stare at the tree. Maybe he was hoping they'd come down since he was further away? Haha.

Bella & Zoe

This morning it was beautiful outside already! I let the girls out right away. The grass was a little dewey, so they got some wet tootsies walking around out there. Haha. Bella came and sat by me for her morning pets, while Zoe was busy exploring. Bella wandered out after awhile too, and checked things out. Both girls lounged on the patio until we headed inside for breakfast. I got them their last egg, which they were excited for! They ate well for me. This afternoon was still incredibly nice out. I let the ladies out for their potty break, while I got them some new rawhides to work on. They laid in the grass to work on them. I love how they have to lay right by each other. Haha! Bella got some sunbathing in the rest of the time. This evening the girls got up to wait for me by the gate when I came in. I opened the door and they zoomed outside. Such an awesome day today! We spent our last visit hanging out in the backyard again to enjoy the weather. Zoe was busy on patrol, roaming back and forth along the fence. Bella had fun rolling around in the grass. She had both her ears flipped back when she sat up! I couldn't get the camera out quick enough. Haha. She lounged in the grass and watched the people out in the neighborhood. When it was time, we went inside and I got them their dinner and a couple bedtime snacks.

Rusty & Ruby

This morning was beautiful outside. I let the pups out for their potty break. They came back in for breakfast and worked on that while I went to see Salem. She meowed away at me while I pet her. Rusty came in to show me that he had his purple ball and was ready to play! I followed him out after I fed the turtles quick. Rusty and I got a good game in, while Ruby was busy exploring. This afternoon the pups came outside when I arrived. Rusty forgot his ball, so he wandered around and explored a bit. Ruby rolled around in the grass and got a little sunbathing in. I kept on her to do her business, but she had to find just the perfect spot. While she did that, I fed one of the big kids some leaves, since they were right over by me. That was fun. Rusty had ventured inside by now. I thought maybe he was getting his ball, but he didn't come back out. After Ruby did her business, she and I sat on the patio and she enjoyed some pets. I went in to see what Rusty was up to. He wasn't in his usual chair. I found him in the bedroom, snuggled up in his doggy bed. Salem was napping on mom and dad's bed. This evening I came in and Ruby was already waiting for me at her bowl. I fed the pups quick. Once they finished, they came out and did their thing while I fed the others. Rusty was searching around for his ball. I found the newer red one and we played a short game. He just wasn't satisfied with that ball though. I went in and helped him look for the other ones, but I couldn't figure out where he put it. Maybe in the morning!

Rusty & Ruby

This morning Ruby zoomed outside while Rusty and I followed. She quickly did her business and raced back inside. I opened the door to find her by her dishes, patiently waiting for her breakfast. Rusty went and waited for his as well. While the pups worked, I went to see miss Salem. She was a lovey girl again this morning, and was happy for her attention time. She even would come into the other room to talk to me while I got the turtles their breakfast. The pups were waiting in the front room when I had finished. Ruby was busy working on her bone. This afternoon, the pups came outside with me. Instead of a ball, Rusty pranced his way out back carrying a rawhide! Haha. I told him to find his ball so we could play a little fetch. He couldn't find either of his favorites, but I saw the newer red one out in the yard. I threw that for him and he did race over to it. But then, he just looked at me. "This isn't my ball!" It took awhile of him searching, but he eventually gave in and we played with that one for a bit. This evening, the pups went out for their potty breaks before dinner. After they ate, they came outside while I fed the big kids. Ruby was racing around being silly. She found the rawhide outside and bounded around with that, and on inside the house for awhile. Haha. Rusty found his purple ball and we played with that until it was time to head in.

Bella & Zoe

This morning it was cool and wet out. The girls were both at the gate, waiting for me when I came in. They danced around in the kitchen while I opened the door to let them out. We sat outside for a little while and they did their business. Miss Bella was ready to go back in after that. I grabbed some leftover rawhides for them to work on while we hung out inside. Bella snuggled up next to me on her doggy pillow, with one leg over mine, just hanging out. She wanted some pets this morning, and made sure to paw at me if I stopped! Zoe was off on her own, working on her rawhide. This afternoon it was a bit nicer outside. The girls and I went out back. I got Bella a new bone, since there were only two small leftover pieces. But, Zoe decided to quickly snag the new one away! Haha. So, I got another out for Bella. They worked as a team on these. Bella would snack on the outside, then the middle treat filling would fall out and Zoe would work on that. After they finished their treats, the girls relaxed in the yard and watched the neighborhood. This evening was very nice out. Bella was standing in the kitchen, wiggling away when I got there. We headed out back to enjoy some fresh air... and the delicious smell of someone cooking burgers on the grill! Haha. Miss Zoe was busy patrolling the yard tonight. She would see people out walking or hear other dogs and had to let them know what was up! Bella laid in the grass and lounged.

Oscar

This afternoon Oscar met me at the door to say hi. He ran ahead of me and picked up a bone that he pranced around with for a bit. I made him leave that inside for later. We went out back next. Oscar did lots of roaming around today. He was at one end of the yard, then would hear people at the other and would race to check it out. We heard a dog barking in the distance somewhere that got Oscar and his neighbor pals all worked up. Wonder what he was saying? Haha. After he gave his sniffer a good workout, Oscar found a spot in the grass to relax for awhile.

Bella & Zoe

This morning it was cold and rainy out. I let the girls out to do their business when I arrived. They took their time to do their thing, then let me know when they were ready to come inside. The girls both ate well overnight. When they came in, I got them some of their leftover rawhides to snack on while I got their breakfast. Bella stood by me most of the time and wanted some pets. Zoe was content chewing on her bone. This afternoon, it was still cold and very windy out, but the rain had let up. The girls and I went out back for a little while. Zoe was ready to head in after some time. We headed inside and I got them some new bones to work on. I sat on the floor by them and Zoe snuggled up next to me to work on hers. This evening, it had started raining again. The girls and I went out so they could do their business. They ventured out to explore a little, but stayed on the dry patio for the most part. Bella was intrigued by all the different doggy smells on me. We eventually went in, and I got the girls their dinner. I got one of their eggs out for a yummy snack to share. That got both girls chowing down on their dinner pretty quick!

Rusty & Ruby

This morning it was cold and rainy outside. I let Ruby out, then both pups came outside with me. Ruby was a good girl and did both her businesses out there. We came in and they were ready for breakfast! Rusty got his allergy pill as well. While they ate, I stopped by Salem to visit with her a bit. She was a lovey girl this morning. I got her some food, then took care of the turtles next. Rusty and Ruby were hanging out in their room, so I got them each a rawhide to work on. This afternoon, Rusty and Ruby came outside with me. Ruby did her business, while Rusty was busy exploring. Neither wanted to stay out too long this afternoon either. Still cool and very windy outside. We went in and I saw Ruby had snagged the other rawhide and was guarding both in her bed. Rusty snuggled up on his chair to relax. This evening, I met the pups inside. Ruby was dancing around by her bowl already! Haha. I got them working on dinner, then went out to feed the big kids. Rusty and Ruby joined me outside when they finished. It was raining again, so it took Ruby a little convincing to do her thing. But, she did, then raced back inside. Rusty didn't care, and was ready for a game of fetch! He got his purple ball for me, so we played out there awhile until it was time to head in.

Oscar

This afternoon my buddy was at the door to greet me. We said hi, then made our way out back. Oscar did some roaming around at first. Later on, he curled up in the grass to lounge. When he tried to go lay in the fresh dirt out there, I tried to distract him. That didn't quite work at first. He just continued to stand there and look at me funny. I grabbed his frisbee and tossed it around... Then fetched it myself a few times. Haha! Eventually, he did come over to play. We played a pretty good game of keep away for awhile. Then, his neighbor friends came out and were barking at us. Oscar had to run over and check out what they were up to. When it was time, we went in for his snack.

Waldo, Otis & Mabel

Today I opened the door and Waldo zoomed into the laundry room. He saw that it was me, then proceeded to the kitchen. He was quite the talker today! Otis joined us to wait for his yums. Waldo kept standing up against the counter and pawing towards me. "Hurry up lady, and feed me! Can't you see that I'm wasting away?" Haha. I got the boys working on that. I saw Mabel was hanging out on the bed again today. I scooped their box quick. Next, I got them some more water. As I was doing that, I saw the boys lining up in the living room. I guess they know the routine already! Haha. Mr. Spunkmeyer had some fun chasing the toys around. Waldo got in on that action a little too, but mostly he just sat and observed. Later on, I went to go see if Mabel wanted any attention. She hopped down and went under the bed, then went out to the living area and eventually hid somewhere. I guess she was feeling a bit more bashful today. I had sat down on the floor by the end of the bed to see if she'd come visit me, but Waldo was happy to get some attention instead. He sat with me for some pets.

Bella & Zoe

This morning the girls were standing at the gate, wiggling their heinies happily! We went outside right away. It was a cool and windy morning, but they didn't seem to mind. Both girls came to sit by me for some attention. Then, they were off exploring around the yard. We went inside a little early, since I was getting cold. Haha. I got the girls each a new bone. They curled up on their beds and worked on those for awhile. Before I left, I put them up for later. This afternoon, it was still windy out, but pretty nice! The girls and I went out back to hang out. I brought their leftover bones to work on. Bella was being a silly girl, having fun rolling around in the grass. Zoe was occupied with her bone most of the time. They did wander by the fence to check things out a bit though. The sun was peeking out by now, so Bella just laid in the grass to enjoy it. This evening, the girls were doing their happy wiggles at the gate. I came in and saw Bella had eaten all her breakfast from earlier. Miss Zoe was in snack mode today and had a good amount left. The girls went out back to play awhile. They had some energy and were having fun chasing each other around the yard. When it was time, we made our way inside. I got Bella her dinner and filled their water dishes. The girls each got a couple little bedtime snacks too.

Rusty & Ruby

It was a bit cool and windy outside this morning. I let miss Ruby out and she raced outside. I called for Rusty, who was napping in his chair. He came out back with me and they both did their business. The pups came back inside and were ready for their breakfast. I got them working on that, while I fed Salem and the turtles. Ruby made sure to check Rusty's bowl when he was finished. Nope! No leftovers for her. Haha. We went back outside for a little while, but neither wanted to stay out long. Too chilly i guess! Both pups went to sit in the front room. Miss Ruby rolled around in her bed and got some belly rubs! This afternoon, the sun was peeking out a little bit. Rusty and Ruby both came outside to play for awhile. Ruby took a little convincing to do her business. She kept trying to run by me. Sneaky! But, eventually she did. Rusty was busy sniffing around the yard. This evening, Ruby came running outside when she heard me. I fed the big kids, then went inside. Ruby was quick to line up at her bowl, ready to eat! The pups worked on their dinner. While they were busy, I checked water dishes and said hi to Salem. After dinner, the pups and I went out back. Rusty got his ball for me and we played a little game. When it was time, we went in and the pups got a bedtime snack.

Kaya, Kylie, Reese, Madison & Max

This morning I came in and everyone was dancing around excitedly. I let the little ones out and they raced to the door. The big girls were ready to go out too! Kylie was busy singing me a song when we got out there. Haha. There were people working on the roof next door, so that had all the pups racing to that side to check out the funny sounds. Reese was being all tough and barking at them! After everyone went potty, we came inside and I got them all situated for breakfast. Kylie went and dumped her bowl over when she was being silly, so I helped her pick that up. After that, everyone ate well. They all made their way back outside for awhile to explore and play a bit.

Kaya, Kylie, Reese, Max & Madison

Tonight I could hear the girls "roo-roo-ing" in their room when I came in. I let the little ones out, then the big kids, and we all headed outside. I carried shy little Max out with me. Kylie was busy zooming and leaping around the yard. Haha! Kaya came to say hi, then she joined the others and they all took a quick potty break. I got everyone back inside, then I got their dinners ready. Madison was first to finish, but she waited until the others were done too. I cleaned up their area and got the pups all some fresh water. Everyone went back out to play awhile before bedtime. It was so nice out tonight! Kylie kept running over to the gate to watch people out walking the neighborhood. The three little ones were all exploring. Kaya and Kylie took turns getting pets, then they'd have some fun wrestling around with each other. When it was time, I got everyone back into their spots for bed.

Waldo, Otis & Mabel

When I walked in the door, Waldo appeared in the laundry room to see who was home! He waited for a quick pet, then showed me where I needed to feed him. Haha! After I read over the notes quick, I spotted Otis sitting in the kitchen entryway out of the corner of my eye. He came right over to say hi too! I got the boys working on their food, then I went to the bedroom to see if Mabel was hanging out there. Sure enough! She was lounging on the bed. She let me walk up pretty close before she hopped down and took cover under the bed. Not bad for our first day though! I went and scooped the kitty box next. When I finished, I grabbed one of the kitty toys to play with them a bit. Suddenly, Mabel came running in! She kept her distance of course, but I think she really wanted to play. That, or she was just very curious. All three kitties sat in the living room with me and watched the toy. Otis was the only one to actually chase after it. He's a cutie!

Rusty & Ruby

This afternoon I came in and Ruby was the first to greet me. I could hear Rusty scurrying around, looking for his ball. The pups both came outside with me right away. Rusty sprawled out on his belly in the grass, then rolled around. Ruby sat in the sunshine for a bit, then finally did her business. I saw the baby geese were out strolling around with their parents. After awhile, Rusty came over and brought his ball to me. Poor guy... I couldn't play like we usually do today. I dislocated some ribs yesterday, so throwing the ball as far as I usually do was out of the question. I was able to toss it for him though. I think he ended up doing more running that way! Haha. He would run out to his usual spot, then realized the ball was way behind him and would race to go scoop it up. He'll have to bear with me just a couple more days. :) Ruby had wandered in by now, and Rusty was busy exploring the yard. I went in quick to go check on Salem and she got a few quick pets before I left. This evening, the big kids were all out waiting for me. I fed them quick, then went to feed the pups. They both finished off their dinner for me. Then, we headed out back for awhile. Rusty got a little game of fetch in while Ruby sat by me for some pets. The ducks and geese were out tonight, so I tossed them a little food too. When it was time, I got the pups all tucked in for the night.

Bella & Zoe

This afternoon I came in and the girls were doing their little happy dance in the kitchen! I read notes quick, grabbed them each a rawhide and we made our way out back. It was beautiful out today! The girls came and said their hellos and got some pets, then they each curled up in the grass to work on their snack. After a little while, miss Bella came to sit by me for some heiny scratches. Zoe decided that Bella's bone looked better, so she went and took that one over. She was acting all tough any time Bella tried to come back to it. Haha. The girls got some extra time this afternoon to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. When it was time to go in, I got them fresh water and a treat before I left. This evening, I noticed the girls had eaten well throughout the day. Bella had her bowl empty and Zoe only had a few kibbles left. The girls and I headed outside right away. It was still so nice out! There were lots of ducks flying around tonight. Miss Bella just sat and watched, while Zoe tried running along the fence to "chase" after them. She cracks me up! Later, the girls worked on their leftover rawhides from earlier until it was time to head in. I got them their dinner and a bedtime snack.
