Oreo & Stuffs

Today Oreo was sitting right by the door! He must have heard my car pull in and decided to wait for me. He walked with me into the kitchen, weaving in and out between my legs as we went. Their plates had been licked clean. I got them each some fresh food. Oreo started to nibble a bit, so I was going to clean their box. On my way I saw Stuffs sitting ahead in the bedroom. I went in and sat on the floor, not too close so he wouldn't run off. He stayed put, and Oreo joined us for some attention. I scooted closer and closer to Stuffs, still trying not to scare him away. He got up, did a big stretch, then started rubbing his face on the furniture. I placed my hand on the floor near him to let him give me a sniff. He was ok with that, so I started scratching his chin with my finger. Soon Stuffs was rubbing his face into my hand, and his motor started! I visited with them longer this evening, since both kitties were loving the attention. I was petting Stuffs with one hand and Oreo with the other. Oreo laid right up against me, then started kneading on my leg. He's so funny! The kitties thoroughly enjoyed their chin and back scratches as long as they could. When they seemed to have enough, I took care of their box, then spent the last few minutes with them.

Noah, Harper, Henry & the kitties

Today I could see Noah in the window, barking at me. Barks quickly turned to three happy tails wagging like crazy! I went out back right away to make sure the dogs weren't out next door. I didn't see them at first, but then they lined up, one by one at the fence. As a precaution, I took the pups out on leash. I grabbed a leash and knew instantly it was Harper's! He ducked his head and slid the collar right on. Such a good pup! I took him out, but he was too excited to do much. I took Henry out next. He wasn't quite so willing to put his on... too wiggly! I took him out and we wandered around. Finally, I got them each their lunch. After everyone ate, I took them each outside again. This time, they each went potty for me. The dogs next door watched at the fence. It was starting to rain, so we spent the rest of the time inside. Everyone was so excited! Noah ran around and tried to play tug with me and his squeaky. Henry got jealous of that, so we stopped. Henry snuggled up on the couch next to me, while the big pups got pet. Noah was going crazy running, rolling around and jumping up by me too! We heard a few rumbles of thunder, then Harper would disappear behind the couch. Joe Friday was ready to take his spot for some attention!
