Griffin & Macy

This afternoon I got some big barks from Griffin when I walked in. Macy was in a deep sleep. I had to touch her gently to wake her. Once she got up, she joined in the barking. I let them both out and they wandered out cautiously. I saw a ball on the porch and tossed that. Griffin bounced along after it and smelled it. I sat on the patio so they could come check me out when they wanted. Griffin came right over and leaned up against me like, "Ok, we can be friends now." He got a back scratch while Macy wandered over to say hi next. They were fine with me now. I let them be outside for a little bit, then we headed in so they could cool off and get a drink. We took one more potty break before it was time to go. I told Griffin to go in his house and he looked back at me. "Aw, do I have to?" I told him once more, then he went in like a good boy. This evening they barked at first when I came in, then they were just more worried about getting outside. It was quite hot out yet this evening, so we didn't attempt a walk. I let them spend awhile roaming the backyard. Later, we headed in so they could get a drink and maybe work on dinner. I sat in the kitchen with them so they'd have some company. After a minute, they both started eating for me. We went out so they could have one last potty break before bedtime.

Jerrie & Kimmie

Today Kimmie was waiting for me under the table by the front door. She meowed and walked over to me, rubbing uo against my legs. She followed me into the kitchen to put the mail on the counter. I stopped to give her a few pets, then went to take care of their things. She stood in the doorway and watched, rubbing her face on the door frame whenever I looked at her. Jerrie was on the top tier of the tower today, enjoying the warm sunshine. Kimmie was quite the lovey girl and sat with me on the floor. She was loving up every minute of her chin scratches. She would walk circles around me, rubbing up against my back as she went. Eventually, she wandered off. It was time for Jerrie's brush session! He, too, loved every second.

Dawn, Gallagher, Bobo & Snowflake

Today the pups knew I was there when I pulled up. I saw them both in the window, barking excitedly. I got them working on their food right away. They were good again and nothing was out of place. I checked on Bebe, who was sitting up by his food bowl. He got to nibbling when I put a new scoop of food in. Next, it was time to see the ferrets. Bobo heard me coming and met me at the door. I picked him up and held him a bit. I noticed he had a case of the hiccups! That made me laugh. He had gotten into things since I was there last, knocking them on the floor. He got spunky while I cleaned up and hopped up on the tub, bounced around, then hopped down. Snowflake was quite the curious little girl today. She followed me around and checked out my shoes. I took one off, then she really went crazy! She started dragging it backwards, then was trying to dig in it. She rolled around and then gnawed on it a bit. She was quite entertaining! I held her for a bit when she was done playing. Bobo curled up on the rug, so Snowflake slid head first next to him. She got her poor little nail caught in the rug, so I helped her get free. I gave them each some treats to work on. The dogs were getting impatient and I heard them start pawing at the door, so I went to visit with them too. Before I left, they each got their treat.

Murdy & Charlie

I stopped by to give Charlie an extra dose of medication last night, to get him jump started on feeling better. Already last night I could see it had improved greatly. This morning Murdy came running to the door to see me. He weaved in and out of my legs as we made our way to the kitchen. He meowed away at me! He raced up to the counter for some pets while I set the mail down. Charlie knew I was there too and was crying in the bedroom. I went to see him and get his eye drops in. He was looking and feeling so much better today! Murdy helped me with the dishes and helped himself to a drink while the faucet was running. The boys sat and groomed each other while I cleaned the first box. When we sat down to play, Charlie thought Murdy's green toy was a blast. He rolled around with it and kicked at it. He was quite spunky today! Murdy was too and kept trying to tackle him any chance he could. I had to break them up quite a bit today. Murdy played in his tunnel a bit, but was having much more fun stalking and pouncing on his new little brother! I found a laser light in the basket of toys, and boy did we have fun with that! Charlie was so quick and went crazy chasing it. He was definitely feeling better today. I got Charlie's second eye drop in before it was time to go. We sure had fun today!

Taz & Clyde

This morning the boys said hi, then went outside for a potty break. They came in for their breakfast. Clyde wouldn't start eating until I was in the laundry room with them. He wants to make sure I won't leave for our walk without him! They were excited to go for their morning stroll. They stopped to sniff at different spots in the grass. There must have been a good scent out there today! I could barely pull them away a couple times. This afternoon was pretty hot out, but the wind offered a breeze. The boys and I headed outside. Later, I got them their dental chews to enjoy. A helicopter flew over, so they both paused to see what all the noise was about. Then, back to chewing! This evening they took their break, then came in for dinner. Clyde finished quickly, but Taz wanted to savor his. So, we got ready for our walk once Clyde was finished. We had to cut our walk a little shorter this evening, because there were just too many dogs out. Clyde was getting a bit too excited about that! He really really wanted to go visit a black Schipperke that we saw. We headed back and the boys got to spend their time in the back yard instead. They got to run around a bit anytime someone would pass by the fence.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning I came in and saw Stormy on the patio, walking up to the door to see who was here. I didn't have to go to her; she came to me today! I sat with her a bit and she was purring away, walking her circles around me. She rubbed up against me and any furniture nearby. She got her head and chin scratched for a bit. She gave me plenty of meows and licks on my hand in return. She waited in the kitchen with me, while I got their food ready. Sadi was snoozing under the foot of the bed, so I had to wake her up. She was pretty stuffy today. I cleaned her up as best I could and gave her medications. She worked on her food a little bit, then wandered out to see me. Stormy had curled up in the window sill to sun herself. Sadi got her share of chin scratches and chest rubs today.

Rusty, Ruby & the gang

This morning Ruby was bouncing all over the place like a crazy girl! She was quite happy to get outside. I filled the water bucket, then she followed me in for her breakfast. Rusty wasn't ready yet, so I put his food out of her reach. Miss Turtle was by the food dish, ready for her breakfast as well. When I finished feeding the rest of the crew, Rusty, Ruby and I went outside. Rusty got a few throws in, then he explored a bit. Ruby wandered around by me, then went to lay in the yard. This afternoon the pooches went out and sunbathed for quite awhile. Rusty brought me his ball for a short game, since it was pretty hot out. I made sure they had a bowl of fresh, cold water before I left. Gonna be a hot one today! Ruby got to spend the afternoon out and did well again. This evening Justin was laying by the water and the other two came running for their dinner. All three went for a dip after they ate. Ruby ate her supper right away, but Rusty was more interested in fetch. He sure loves his red ball! He had fun rolling in the grass some tonight too. I put his dinner down for him once I put Ruby to bed.
