Jerrie & Kimmie

Mother Nature watered everything for me this morning, so I went right in to see the kitties. Today Kimmie was at the front door, waiting for me. As soon as I walked in, Jerrie appeared from the hallway. Kimmie followed along, then sat on the back of the couch to wait for me. Jerrie wandered into the living room to wait with her. Once I finished, they both hopped up and followed me to the front room. Jerrie was even trotting along! I went to check his mouth today and it is starting to look better. Not as red. He actually put up a little bit of a fuss when I tried to look, so I guess he's feeling even better. He laid on the floor by me, while Kimmie went and hid behind her curtain. I brushed him a little, then pet him the rest of the time. He even helped himself to the brush while I was petting him. I tried to brush Kimmie a bit too, but she wasn't having any of that today! She swatted at it, then gave me a sassy meow. Hehe.

Char, Z & Tilly

It was a stormy day today. Char must have been napping when I got there. She made her way to the front door, and did a great big stretch as she went. I went right out to go check on Tilly, since the rain was letting up a bit. I was very happy to see that in this crummy weather, she was all snuggled up in her bed! She stayed put while I got her some more food. I headed back in to see miss Char, who was sitting at the door waiting for me. She followed me to clean their boxes. Next, I went to peek under the bed to see if Z was there today. As I knelt down, Char would walk right in front of me and rub her body against my face! "Don't worry about her, you can pet me!!!" There was no Z under the bed today. I checked in the other room, and saw her sitting right in the corner by the steps. She just sat there and watched. Char was frantically trying to get my attention, so we went to the living room so she could be pet. She cracks me up! She spent most of her time today getting loved on. She purred loudly the whole time. We got a little playtime in too, just before I left.

Mac & Abby

This morning I had two little noses poking out to see me as I opened the door. I noticed they had knocked down one of the gates overnight, but they were still in the laundry room. I let them both outside right away. It was just sprinkling out, so we spent a little time out there. Once they were ready to go in, I got them all dried off. Mac went ahead and let himself in by pushing the door open. They both sat with me awhile in the living room. Abby was an itchy girl, and was busy rubbing her face on the floor while I scratched her back. Mac was happy to get his tummy rubs. Before I left, I gave Mac his medicine and got them each a chicken snack. I left his shirts on, since we were supposed to have more storms this morning. This afternoon the pups only went out long enough to do their business. Not long after we got outside, it started to pour! I dried them off again and we headed back inside. Mac kept checking out one of the bedrooms and would push the door open, so I'd have to go close it again. Silly boy! Abby had made herself comfy on one of the couches in the entrance. They each got a couple cookies when I put them back in their room. They've been such good puppies! This evening the sun was finally shining. I took Mac's shirts off, since we should be done with the storms for today. We spent the whole time outside tonight since they'd been couped up all day. When it was time to head in, I gabe Mac his eye drops. Then Abby got all excited and was standing on her hind legs. I asked if she wanted some eye drops too. Haha! I knew what she was ready for. I grabbed out a chicken treat for each of them and put them in their room to work on them.

Cate, Carson, Little Foot, Toby & Bella

This morning I started out letting the pups outside. I had a little cleanup duty after the first round outside. I let them hang out with me in the dog room while I cleaned. Once I was done, they went back in and Little Foot got to go out. No one really wanted to get their feet wet this morning! They all attempted to keep their feet on the doorstep as much as possible. But that didn't work out so well. Haha! Miss Bella came to visit again. I gave her a few chin scratches as she sat on top of the fence again. Once all the pupd had made their rounds outside, I gave Toby his medicine. Then, I let them all out one more time. This afternoon, everyone did great! There were no accidents since this morning. I let the first crew out to go potty and get a drink of fresh water. Little foot went out next, then everyone got their dinner. Even though it rained this morning, the water bags on the trees were pretty low. So, while everyone ate, I went and filled those and gave the turtle babies some more water too. Miss Bella kept me company and was enjoying some attention while I waited for them to fill up. By the time I was done, so were the pups. I let Little Foot out first this time, since he was completely finished. Toby and Cate still had a few bites left. He wandered around, got a drink and did his business. He sat in the shade for a minute before we headed inside. I gave him a few more minutes to wander around the dog room before I let the others back out again for their turn.

Titus & Angel

This morning the pups were very excited to see me again. They were bouncing all over the place. Titus kept nudging my hand while I was putting Angel's collar back on. That was making it a little difficult! Haha! Then, he was trying to roll around when it was his turn. Finally, I got them ready and let them outside. They came back in to work on their breakfast a bit. Then, we headed to the back porch. It was drizzling out at the moment, so the dogs just lounged around. Angel saw a big bird at the back of the yard, that she ran off to chase after! Good thing for the bird, there was a fence between them. We were due for some storms this morning, so I kept the pups inside. I came back this afternoon to give them a potty break. The rain had stopped and I checked the radar again. It looked like we were done, so I let them stay out the rest of the afternoon. This evening, Titus was just lounging around. He perked up when he saw me and went racing to the back. They watched me head to their area through the window, and went running to meet me. They ate their dinner, then we went back outside. As I went to fill each of their water bowls, the pups were trying to figure out where I was going. So, I saw them racing from one place to the other! I went and sat outside with them awhile. They each took turns coming to get pet. Then, they'd wander off or lay down and relax.
