Tilly, Willie, Natilie, Spencer, Maddie, Izzy & El Nino

Everyone is doing fine today. They were all very excited to get out and play. Spencer, Maddie and Izzy hung out on the porch again today, but not as much. They did some exploring and chasing around a little bit too. When El Nino wasn't busy trying to get my attention he was having a blast chasing back and forth with Tilly and Natilie again along the fence. Spencer joined in the fun again today too. After Natilie got tired of chasing around she sprawled out on the grass and soaked up some sun. It was so beautiful out this afternoon! The kitty wasn't inside when I got there today, but she showed up shortly after I did to get her supper. She even came and layed out in the grass near the porch with the puppies for awhile.

Tilly, Willie, Natilie, Spencer, Maddie, Izzy, El Nino

Tilly, Willie, and Natilie announced my arrival today. I said hi to them and got some kisses through the fence. It was pretty windy out and still wet from the rain we've been having. They were very muddy! Everyone inside was very excited to go out. I fed the kitty and she let me pet her for awhile as she rubbed up on my legs. Once outside, Spencer, Maddie, and Izzy all went up and hung out by the door on the porch. I guess they thought they were going in. Spencer kept standing on his rear legs and doing a little dance. El Nino was constantly jumping up and kissing me, craving attention. He's such a cutie pie! I knelt down to pet the other three on the porch, and he was trying to get my attention so hard. He kept jumping up at me, and then he stopped. All of a sudden I felt someone licking my ear... he jumped up on the table to get my attention! Tilly and El Nino were having fun chasing back and forth along the fenceline. The others just watched at first, then Willie, Natalie and Spencer joined in the fun too! I took them all back inside after we were done playing and fed them. The other three were patiently waiting their turn inside as well.

Roxie, Ralphi & Rudy

This morning wasn't as chilly as yesterday, but cloudy. The boys were chasing each other as usual after finishing their breakfast. Roxie hung out by me most of the time and got her tummy rubs. After awhile they all kind of settled down a little bit. Rudy was content just laying down and chewing on the log. The other two were busy getting attention from me. Ralphi kept trying to steal my hand from petting Roxie. Then those two started chasing each other around every now and again. Rudy would break it up by going over and jumping towards them. After that he would go back to chewing and they would come back to me for more attention! After we were done I think they were ready to go in. They were all right there with me as I headed for the door. I put them to bed, said goodbye and told them I'll see them again soon. Oh and before I forget, thank you for the note, it was so sweet!

Roxie, Ralphi & Rudy

I think it was a little chilly for Ralphi this morning. His little legs were shivering while he was eating his breakfast! After they were done eating and started running around I think they warmed up ok though. I hope you don't mind, but I split up the other two visits a little bit today. It was sooo beautiful out that I just had to let them play outside longer this afternoon! We tried playing fetch a little, but Ralphi just didn't want to give up his log very much. I found a little stick that I got to throw for Rudy a couple times, but then he shredded it! Roxie found a little hole in the fence that she could stick her nose into. There must have been something interesting on the other side because she kept going over there to investigate. This evening was still really nice out. The boys were tearing around the yard as fast as they could and Roxie just kept rolling over by my feet. Today I worked on making Rudy sit when he came by me (so he wouldn't get so excited and jump up) and then petting him. They all got a lot of tummy rubs and back scratches today, and in return I got a lot of slobbery kisses!

Roxie, Ralphi & Rudy

I got to the house tonight and they all remembered me just fine! I let everyone out for a quick potty break. The boys took off running and chasing around after saying hi. Roxie just stayed by me most of the time. Tonight she let me rub her tummy longer than she ever has before. She didn't want me to stop! If I did she would get up, move closer to me and roll over again. After we were done I gave everyone their bedtime treat and put them to bed. More playtime tomorrow!

Reef

Last day with Reef :(  We had a great day though.  Got there early this morning and we went for a walk.  He tried his best to mark every bush and mailbox that we walked by.  Played around a little at the house when we got back before it was time to go.  Early afternoon the sun finally came out so we spent most of the time out in the back yard.  He was enjoying soaking up the sun.  He also got his wet food again and ate the whole thing up except one little pea he left at the bottom of the bowl, just kept spitting it out while licking the bowl clean.  Then it was time to go, had to say bye to him, but hopefully it won't be too long before he needs a sitter again.

Suzie, Heiny, Boo, Quartz, Fluffy & Fudge

Heiny was still limping this afternoon, but seemed to be a bit better than yesterday. That must be what happened... darn mole! Today it looked a lot more like it was her right rear leg. First Suzie, then Heiny - I hope she feels better soon too. The girls were especially excited today, they must know mom and dad are going to be home soon! Quartz followed me into the kitchen and wanted his brushing again today. After I brushed him for a little while, Boo came to investigate. He jumped up to see what was going on, and got some brushing too! They both loved every minute, especially Quartz. I found everyone and said my goodbyes. The girls gave me lots of kisses and snuggles, so I think they knew. I'm going to miss them all a lot, they're so much fun! I hope you both have a safe trip home. I'm sure they will  be very very excited to see you when you get home!!

Reef

Reef had a full day today.  This morning he went for a short walk around the neighborhood, and got to sniff every mailbox we went passed.  He was very good just walking right along with me.  Then in the afternoon we played in the back yard some more.  He brought out his stuffed toy at first and then we found a rock and that was much more fun.  He didn't care about anything else besides that rock, so funny.  He also got to eat his wet food again, and again I think it was gone before he took a breath.  Tonight we mostly stayed inside, and played with his stuffed bunny until he started to come apart and Reef found the fun white stuff on the inside.  He went back to chewing on his bone after that.  He was looking a little sad when he had to go, but I'll see him early in the morning.  He's a great dog and has been so great to sit for.

Reef

Visited Reef for the first time tonight.  He greeted me at the door without any barking.  He was very excited someone was home.  We went outside and so he could go potty and came back in pretty quick.  Then Reef got to eat his wet food and I think it was gone before I set the bowl on the ground.  We went back outside to throw his ball around, and it became chase Reef around the yard while he kept the ball, he was pretty funny, we had a good time.  We went back inside and played around a little bit before it was time to go.  He was chewing on his bone and seemed a little sad to see me go, but I'll see him first thing in the morning.

Suzie, Heiny, Boo, Quartz, Fluffy & Fudge

The girls have gotten into my routine now too. They quick say hi to me, then Heiny runs off to the back side of the house before I even go inside. I guess she knows that I'm going to be letting them in soon after I get there. Today when I got there I noticed that Heiny kind of hobbled to the fence to say hi. After I let them in I watched her walk for awhile, but I couldn't figure out which leg it was. After she laid down I checked out each of her legs, trying to see if she reacted when I touched her. I finally found that her pad on her back left leg had a cut. It wasn't bleeding and almost looks like an older wound. That's all I could find though, so I'm guessing that's it and it's just sore when she puts pressure on it. I will check it again tomorrow and see how she's doing. Quartz followed me into the laundry room today, and I knew exactly what he wanted, his brushing! Everyone is doing well and I'm sure they will be very excited to see you both in a couple days!

Suzie, Heiny, Boo, Quartz, Fluffy & Fudge

Everything went pretty normal today. Quartz and Boo are pretty used to my routine now. They sit and wait for me until I start heading their way, then they run to the next stop. Fluffy and Fudge are warming up to me a little bit now. They don't immediately run away from me anymore, and sometimes not at all. I still have to try and find at least one of them everyday though. I let the girls in and they still can't get enough attention from me. They are so much fun. Suzie got up just fine today with no problems. She must be starting to feel a little better. Everybody is doing well today, but missing their parents I'm sure!
