Ginger, Scout & Tiger

This afternoon there were dark clouds overhead when I came to visit. The pups were all bouncing up and down by the gate to say hi. We all headed outside so they could do their business. I let them play in the backyard as opposed to taking a walk this time, since it looked like it could rain at any moment. Scout and Tiger wandered around by the fence, saying hi to the neighbor dog. Ginger spent her time by me, getting attention! Sure enough, it suddenly started to rain, then there were tiny hail dropping as well, for the third time today. I got the pups inside and working on a treat while I went to check on Scotch. Before I left, all three lined up in the kitchen for a yummy bone! As soon as I arrived this evening, I could hear the little ones whining away in the kitchen. I said hi and they got all excited and started wagging their tails like crazy or dancing around. I let them outside first. Scout wasn't happy about how cold it was. They ran back to the door when they were all done. Then they each got a treat and inhaled them. Back in the kitchen, I sat down with them the rest of the time. Ginger was the most demanding for attention. Tiger would sit and wait his turn. Scout would visit every now and again. Then before I left, I went into the cupboard and handed them each a bone. Tiger didn't want the same one Scout and Ginger had. I offered him a different one. He didn't want that one either. Finally the third time was a charm, and he scurried off with it.

Baxter & Bubba

Bubba was relaxing on the couch and Baxter was asleep on his bed when I arrived. They both hopped to their feet when they saw me. I got their food ready so they could get chow down while I cleaned the litter pan. I sat in the living room with Baxter when he was finished. Then all of the sudden Bubba leapt onto the armrest on the couch, making me jump! He came out of nowhere! He kept nudging me with his face, demanding attention. A little later, he kept playing with Baxter. He would swat his paws at him and Baxter would wag his tail and stomp his feet. They were too cute.

Biscuit & Jezebel

It was raining out when I came to visit today. I let Bert and Biscuit outside to do their business. They quickly did, then came right back inside. We all sat on the couch together for awhile. They were quite the snuggle bugs today! Bert leaned against me then hugged on almost like a little baby. It was so cute! Biscuit leaned on me from the other side, enjoying a back rub. Later I got their hedgehog toy and we played a little fetch inside. I had them both go out potty once more later on, when the rain had lightened up a little. Biscuit came right back in, but Bert took a little more time. They both sat politely in the kitchen for their treat before I left.

Zeus, Zena & Baby

This afternoon Baby was on the patio, keeping dry from the rain. When I let Zeus and Zena outside, it started hailing! So we stayed on the porch for a bit too. When it stopped, the pups would run around in the grass for awhile. Zeus climbed up in a chair and watched the rain. I let them play on their side for a bit when it lightened up. They weren't over there long when it began to hail a second time, this time pea-sized! I brought them back to the patio where they lounged around. Soon I dried off Zeus and Zena's paws so we could go inside. They snuggled up by me for a few minutes, getting hugs and back scratches before it was back to bed.

Jerrie & Kimmie

Today I saw Jerrie and Kimmie both curled up in the front room, Jerrie on his chair and Kimmie on top of the kitty post. Kimmie climbed down and followed me to the living room, where she waited on the back of the couch for me to return. I went back in by Jerrie to give him some attention. I cleaned off his eye crusties, then started brushing him. Kimmie came back in and sat on her perch, watching the birds outside. Jerrie got plenty of uninterrupted pampering time! He was loving up every minute. I played with Kimmie for a few minutes too.

Cali

Rolled, ate a little, played with string & rubbed up against me, curled up in chair, raining outside, heard thunder and snuck off to bedroom, emerged from closet and rubbed on legs, sat in bedroom & she curled in my lap
Today

Today Cali did her welcoming roll as I came in. She got a fresh batch of food and I refreshed her water bowls. After I cleaned her box, she continued to nibble on her food for a few minutes. Then, she wandered over and was rubbing up against me, purring away. I gave her a few pets here and there, and she rubbed up on my arm when she wanted more on her own terms. We played with her shoe string for a little while. Then, she curled up on her chair and listened to the rain. As soon as we heard a crack of thunder, she went scooting off to the bedroom. I went to go look for her and she came wandering out from the closet, rubbing up against my legs. I sat down by her and she curled up in my lap for awhile. When it was time for me to go, she followed me down the hall and hopped back up in her chair.
