Riley & Hunter

This morning both pups raced to the door to greet me! Hunter was bouncing all over the place. We headed outside for a little bit so they could do their business. It had stopped raining, so they spent a little time exploring. Later we headed in for their breakfast. I took a look at the forecast and saw it was supposed to be another rainy day. So, I thought we should take advantage of the rain-free morning we had. We headed back outside and I tossed the ball for Hunter a little bit. Riley got a little spunky too and would race around in little spurts when Hunter was. I got their paws all cleaned up when it was time to head back in. This afternoon two happy faces were right at the door to greet me. It had been raining on and off, but it took a little break when I came for my visit. I no more than took my shoes off, then noticed Riley was trotting along behind me with my shoe in her mouth! Silly girl. I saw evidence that there was a couch potato in my absence! A couple pillows were on the floor, so I put them back. I let the pups outside, then we got a few more throws of the ball in. Riley found a Frisbee outside and carried that around for a bit. I cleaned paws again, then we headed inside before they got too muddy. They were happy to get their back scratches in. A puppy was barking on the tv, so Riley went and sat in front of it to watch. It was so cute! Hunter took advantage of my full attention. He sure doesn't like to share me. Haha! This evening I was greeted with wagging tails. Riley happily carried my shoe around the kitchen. It was raining again and super muddy out, so no fetch tonight. It took a bit longer to get their little toes cleaned. We headed in for dinner time. They took a little encouraging tonight, but soon were licking their bowls clean. Afterwards, we headed to the living room for attention time. Hunter kept barking at me excitedly. I knew what he wanted! He wanted to go out and play fetch. Sorry buddy... maybe tomorrow.

Sophie & Roxy

Both the girls were at the gate, watching me pull in the driveway this afternoon. Despite the rain, they were happy to see me. I found a towel on the dryer to wipe little paws with, in case they were muddy. They were hungry girls today, and got right to work on their dinner. Afterwards, they both piled on my lap for their attention. They were in a silly, playful mood today. The girls would paw at me and then each other, then roll around. Sophie would curl up on top of the pillows at the end of the couch. I would say her name and talk to her, then she would just roll sideways and melt into my lap. They both reached across at one point and were giving each other kisses. That quickly turned into pawing and messing with each other! Roxie watched me leave today at the gate. So hard to leave those cute faces!
