Baxter & Bailey

This morning Bailey was outside peeking at me through the fence! He got all excited when he saw me and ran into the house. He and Baxter were both jumping up and down at the front door! Bailey had gotten all the blankets down again, so I put them in the laundry room and shut the door. He had dragged one of the dog beds outside through the doggie door too! I got everything back in it's place and refilled their food dishes. The boys did a lot of wrestling around this morning. They each grabbed their own toy and carried it around, then gave them to me to throw for them. We headed outside for a little bit, where Bailey did some rolling around in the grass. I had noticed there were some new bricks in the gap by the gate, and while we were out back I think I found where the little dogs got through! I'm thinking Bailey was carrying around the loose board in the corner because today it was laying in the middle of the yard! I put it back and then we went inside again to get their treats before I left. This evening I tried to sneak in to see what they were up to, but Bailey heard me so they both came running to the door! We've been working on having Bailey sit for attention. He seems to slowly be catching on! He was full of energy tonight so we put him outside for a bit so Baxter and I could have some one-on-one time. Baxter came over, heiny wagging away to get his back scratching! After awhile though, he seemed to miss his friend and went to sit by the door. Next, Bailey got some one-on-one time with the brush! That wasn't too productive since he kept rolling over and giving me his less hairy tummy! While we were out there, we had a little visitor! The neighbor dog came through the fence in the corner since the board was down again. I got him back home, then put the board back up, getting it to stick this time. The boys came in with me and got their bedtime snack. Bailey quickly finished his and ran to the front door with me.

Sammy, Molly, Gracie & Couper

I could hear the pups barking as I walked up, but this time no one was at the door waiting! They must have been outside and heard me though, because they suddenly all came running! We went outside, then they all piled on my lap to say hi! Sammy and Molly didn't stay long. But soon they all were running to the fence to check out a noise. Molly and Couper chased and wrestled around for awhile. Gracie was in the corner relaxing in the shade. Soon after, Couper and Molly joined her! Sammy climbed up and took his turn with me for awhile until Couper and Gracie tool over. They both sat and took turns giving my face a bath! Haha! After some more running around and relaxing in the shade, it was finally time for dinner. They all lined up in the kitchen and watched while I got it ready. Couper was the last to finish, so Sammy sat and watched for a chance to steal a kibble! Molly curled up on the couch and Gracie climbed into my lap as I sat on the floor. She kept sticking her tongue out, trying to kiss me. Then she rolled over for a tummy rub. Later when it was time to go, they lined up for their treats!

Louis and Susie

As I opened the door this afternoon, there Louis was, sprawled out on the cool cement, with his tail wagging! Leaving her favorite spot in the shade, Susie wandered over to say hello too! After a bunch of scratches, I filled up their bowls, gave them their vitamins andthen it was time to eat! They each took turns eating; Louis eating first, while Susie went back to her spot in the shade. I went over to visit her and scratched her belly. After he was done, Louis came over for some scratches too! I learned it was important to pet both of them at the same time, as Louis told me so with his low bark and a smile on his face! It was hilarious! Susie then took her turn enjoying some dinner. Then she came back to the yard and they chased each other around for awhile, until they both got tired and plopped down in the shade, where I took a cute picture! I tried to get Louis to play with the ball, but as you can see by the picture, he wasn't really in the mood! Maybe tomorrow?! I gave each a few more scratches and said my goodbyes until tomorrow!

Sophie & Roxy

This afternoon almost looked like it was going to rain, but it held off and the sun came out later in the day. The girls wanted to come inside since it was a little dreary out. They didn't even say hi to me! They only wanted one thing. They ran to the living room and sat, looking around. Then they started whining, so we had to play! I grabbed the light but tried to make them wait a little bit and visit with me. They weren't having any of that! They got to chase and play with the light until they tired themselves out! I think they were done playing when it was time to go. This time they raced out and sat nicely on the patio for their big treat!

Tyler, Emma, Lacey & Luke

I could hear little Lacey barking as soon as I got out of the car this afternoon. All three pups were at the door to greet me. As I let the big pups outside, I saw Luke all curled up on the bed. I said hi to him, then got lunch ready for the dogs. Tyler and Emma were ready to come in and eat! They ran through the door and raced to the next one. After lunch, Tyler and Emma went outside to play. They both galloped next to each other and playfully nudged one another! They chased each other around for awhile and even did a little wrestling! Lacey cuddled up with me inside after she went out to do her business. She rolled over for a belly rub, then climbed into my lap. She kept nudging my hand with her nose and didn't want to leave my lap when it was time to let the big pups in!

Buckley, Chloe, Tizzy, JR & Bootsie

The workers were there this afternoon, so I checked with them and made sure the gate was closed before letting the pack out! They ran around, did their business then said hi to the guys. They were working on ladders and using saws in the backyard, so I brought all the pups inside. I don't want any accidents happening! I said hi to Bootsie, who was cozy under the blankets. He came out and was actually very social today. He meowed at me and hopped up by his food so I would pet him. Then he walked around and rubbed up against Chloe and Buckley. Next, he was up on the shelf, playing with the curly decor in the red vase! We got the toys out of the bedroom to keep the pups occupied. Of course, for when they weren't monkey piling on me! Haha! Tizzy rolled over on my lap and got a nice tummy rub. Chloe and JR were busy gnawing away on the bones. After JR got up, Tizzy snuck in and stole his bone! Next, Buckley came to snuggle up with me. Bootsie was walking around next to me, so I pet him at the same time. Buck kept pawing at me until I would stop petting Bootsie. I guess he wanted all the attention! I started talking to Bootsie like a kitty and all the dog's ears popped up and they all looked at me funny. Then, they all tackled me trying to look for the kitty they heard! When it was time, Bootsie helped me get the peanut butter ready.
