Rusty & Ruby

It was down-pouring rain today when I came to see the pups. I let Ruby out and she went for the door. She stopped when she got to it. She only had to look out the doggie door and see that she didn't want to go out! Haha. She was about to high tail it the other way, but I stopped her and had her go out. I went out and braved the rain with her. Poor little lady was terrified, but she knew what she had to do. Of course, just as she was about to go there was a loud crack of thunder. I stood out by her and encouraged her to go and she did. Then, we ran back inside. Such a good girl! I went to see what Rusty was up to and he was hanging out in his chair like usual. Ruby had gone to the bedroom. I went to check on her and little Salem came out to say hi. She was pretty lovey today and wanted a few chin scratches.

Eddie & Butler

This afternoon we had some good storms going. I let the boys out and they said hi for a minute. We headed out and they hung out on the patio and looked at the rain. Butler got his spray on his hot spot. After that, the boys ventured out. Eddie had fun rolling around in the wet grass. He made sure to come and share with me! Haha. Butler got wet from the rain, then had to say hi to. He eventually curled up on the chair outside and lounged around. Eddie was in and out a lot. Not a real fun day for any of my pooches today!

Oscar

It was pouring rain out most of the day today, but Oscar got lucky! It took a break just when I arrived. He met me at the door and we headed outside. He lounged around for a little bit. After that, he went to go check out a branch that had fallen in the yard. He kept biting on it like he was going to bring it over to play with. Haha. But, he gave up on it after a couple minutes. He was busy barking at dogs he saw outside today, or neighbors out rolling their trash bins back to the house. Silly boy. Just as we headed in, the rain was starting to pick back up again. He got the perfect amount to relax outside today.

Chica & Paco

This morning I saw the kitties had moved some things around! They somehow flipped over that kitty scratching wave and moved it to the middle of the room. Haha. Little Paco was attacking my legs as soon as I walked in! By attacking, I mean he was trying to love on me as much as he could! He's such a cute little booger. He kept meowing and purring loudly. Chica hopped up on the counter and wanted lots of love too. It was raining like crazy today, so I just tended to the inside things. The kitties worked on their little snack while I did that. When I was done, we had fun playing with their feather toys. Paco kept trying to steal Chica 's toy today, so I had to be sneaky about distracting him. Soon he was only interested in getting pet! They will be very happy for their momma to be home soon to love on them.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning Stormy met me in the kitchen when I arrived. She walked around doing her purr - meow and was making laps to walk next to me and rub up against the dining table too. It was down-pouring when I got there, so the plants didn't need any watering. Sadi was sitting in by the food. I got her her medicine, then she and Stormy ate a little while I did my things. Sadi was already done by the time I was, so we went to our spot. She got brushed for awhile. She had an itchy chin today! She kept trying to itch her chin on the brush, then her little back leg was going. So good! Haha. Stormy played a little with her feather toy, but mostly she just wanted to relax. This evening Sadi was sleeping soundly in her bed. Her nose looked great tonight. After she got her meds, I put her back in her bed.

Bella, Louie & Chico

This morning we had some storms going. It was just pouring rain! I let the pups out of their beds. They all ran out, then stopped on the patio to figure out what they wanted to do. Bella ran out, no problem. She was even having fun running around out there for a minute. The other two did their business, then came inside. Bella had enough when the thunder started cracking. She went in too and sat in the doorway, looking outside. She'd look back towards me with a sad face. No fun today! I had Louie come out on the patio with me in the dry area to eat his breakfast. He actually ate well this time. Towards the end he was shaking a little, nervous with the thunder. I let him in as soon as he was done. I got everyone some treats to work on, since they all stayed in today. This afternoon, it was still just dumping rain on us. I let the kiddos out of their beds for awhile. They would venture out a little, but not for long. For the most part, they hung inside with me and lounged around. This evening, it had finally stopped raining. The kiddos all raced outside and had a blast. I made sure the door was closed so they couldn't track mud all over. Louie wasn't interested in his tuna meal, so he got his medicine via syringe again tonight. It was quick easy, then he had more time to play since they were cooped up inside most of the day. All three spent some time eating their kibble, then running around. I got them somewhat dried off and cleaned up, then we went straight to their beds. They all got some more snacks for bedtime.
