Rusty, Ruby & the kitties

This afternoon I arrived to find Rusty already outside. He kept looking back at me as he was walking, and nearly tripped on the patio shrapnel! He came in with me to get Ruby. They were all confused since I was trying to get them to go out through the other door. Haha. They eventually figured it out. We spent awhile outside this afternoon. The cleaning people were there, so I hadn't grabbed his ball. I saw a tennis ball out in the yard, so I grabbed that and threw it for him. He actually enjoyed playing fetch with that ball today! We played a long game. Ruby just sat and snuggled with me and was happy for her heiny scratches.

Daisy & Figaro

Today, miss Daisy heard me come in, so she started meowing. She went to wait by the gate, ready to eat. I waited until she went back to her bed, then delivered her yums. I split it up into a few bowls and placed them around the room. Hopefully that'll help keep her from eating too much too fast. Next, I went outside to see Figaro. I called for him since I didn't see him, and he came wandering over right away. He's so sweet! He was rubbing up against my legs, then rolling around on the patio. I got him some more food and some fresh, cold water. When I went to scoop his box, he thought that was the perfect time to use it. Haha! When I was done, we played with his toy for awhile.

Sadi & Stormy

This evening I came in and found miss Sadi sleeping soundly in her bed. I gently stroked her back and she sat up with a purr-meow. I took her to her spot and gave her her evening medicine. She had a little discharge from her nose, but once I cleaned that off she sounded good. I set her in by their dishes and got them some fresh water and scooped their box. As I was leaving, I peeked out on the patio and saw Stormy was lounging on a chair. She sat right up and looked at me for a minute. Then, she hopped down and walked over, stretching along the way, to say hi.

Winston

This afternoon Winston was waiting by the gate for me, ready for our walk! He trotted along behind me and waited to be hooked to his leash. We went outside and walked around for awhile. After Winston went potty for me, we continued strolling around a bit. As we were walking, a bird flew by my head. I thought to myself, hmm that was pretty close! A couple steps farther, and the bird swooped down towards Winston. It took a couple more swoops down towards us. We kept walking to go away from it, then the crazy bird dive bombed again at Winston and pecked him in the back of his leg! Winston just turned around like, "Reaaally....?", then went back to sniffing at the ground. He didn't seem to be too concerned. I told him it was time to go in, since this kamikaze avian kept following us! Haha! We got inside and Winston was looking at me, waiting for me to play. I told him to go find a toy, then he raced off and got his green bone. That one is a little hard for us to play tug with, so I told him to go find his rope. Instead, he took off and returned with his squirrel. That works haha. We played tug and when he pooped out, he laid by me for some back scratches. His little squirrel suffered some casualties today. Winston successfully tore a couple pieces off. Oopsie. Later on, Winston went to his area and got his snack, while I got him some fresh water. What an interesting day!

Eddie & Butler

This afternoon the boys both sat up excitedly when I walked in. I let them out and they zoomed outside. After I got them some water, I went to sit out there with them. The boys spent awhile enjoying the sunshine on the patio. They did some exploring too. Butler seemed particularly interested in the backyard neighbor's part of the fence. He kept trying to look through. I don't think anyone was out there though. Eddie had gone inside to get a drink. When he came out, he thought he'd share and got my arm all wet. Haha! Then the boys both had to come give me some kisses before we headed back inside.

Oscar

This afternoon my buddy was waiting at the door to see me! I gave him some back scratches hello, then we made our way outside. He immediately found a sunny spot on the patio to lay down and relax. He eventually got up to go potty, then rolled around in the grass to be silly. His little friends were out next door, so Oscar had fun watching them. Suddenly, Oscar popped up and had to go investigate at the other end of the yard. I'm not sure what he saw. Maybe another squirrel? Haha. Oscar came running over to see me for some attention, and laid down next to me for awhile. When we went inside, he sprawled out on his ottoman to wait for me to get him a snack. He did several tricks for me. Such a smart boy!
