Shadow & Lucy

Today Lucy was sitting in exactly the same spot by the door when I walked in. She stood up right away and began rubbing up against the wall. Shadow came in and rubbed on my legs again while I got him his food. He got to snacking while I filled their containers and scooped their box. Lucy was sitting on her box in the living room, meowing at me when I returned. The kitties sat in there with me and played for a few minutes. They weren't really in the mood today. It didn't take long before Shadow went to go sit by his window. Lucy decided to sit up on the tv stand for awhile. I got the kitty crack out and Shadow came running for a few snacks! Haha. They then returned to bird watching for the rest of the time.

Chupie

Today everything was still in its place on the patio. I saw the stray kitties had cleaned up their bowls. I brought those in and went to go take care of Chupie's things. She had cleaned out her food bowl as well. I peeked up the stairway today just to see if I could catch a glimpse. But, I didn't see her at all. She wasn't hiding under the couch either, so she must have been upstairs. Everyone got their food and Chupie got a fresh bowl of water for the day.

Rusty & Ruby

This afternoon Ruby was ready to come out of her bed. I let her out and she was racing to the back door. Rusty came sleepily walking in from his nap in his chair. I grabbed his ball and we all headed outside. Rusty and Ruby both spent quite awhile lounging in the grass. I didn't see miss Ruby go poo for me, so unfortunately I had to put her back in her bed when it was time. She did get a snack though!

Eddie & Butler

This afternoon the boys were excited when I let them out. They said their hellos, then ran outside. We could hear kids playing next door today, so the boys were over at the fence investigating for quite awhile. When they got tired out, they lounged around on the patio. Later, once they had enough sun, the boys came inside to cool off until it was time to go.

Shadow & Lucy

This morning I saw Lucy as soon as I opened the door. I think she was waiting for me! Haha. I went to the kitchen to get their food ready. Shadow came in and was rubbing his face on my leg while I did that. The kitties were both in the living room waiting for me when I finished with their box. They were both in a playful mood today! Shadow chased one end of the rope around, while I kept Lucy busy with the other. Then, I had them intrigued for awhile as I scratched the inside of the kitty tunnel. Shadow kept peeking through it at me. They made me laugh when they each had their little faces peeking in! Lucy got really crazy with the rope at one point and was jumping all over the place. She, of course, had to run off casually like nothing happened. She then went to look out the front door, and Shadow made his way to his window.

Chupie

Today as I pulled up, I saw a little furry black kitty sitting on the patio. It looked frightened and ready to take off at any moment, so I slowly walked up there. The kitty kept it's distance, so I let it be and headed inside. I didn't see Chupie today as I passed through, but I made sure her box was clean and she had plenty of food and water. I'm sure I'll catch a glimpse in the next few days. I was a little confused at first because I didn't see the two bowls for the outside kitties anywhere. I went back out to take another look and spotted one up against the neighbor's fence. I also saw the second bowl, a chair and a table! I'm assuming they were yours and got blown over there in the storm yesterday. I brought everything back and got the kitties some food as well. My little friend got spooked and ran off when I brought the chair back. Maybe it'll warm up to me later!

Daisy & Figaro

This morning I got in and started to get Daisy's food ready. She was sitting up in the window sill today, looking outside. She waited until I delivered her yummy snack, then she came down to eat. I got everything taken care of outside and called for Figaro. She didn't show up again today while I was there. I waited and continued to call, but didn't see any sign of her. Hopefully she will be back home waiting for her people to return!

Eddie & Butler

This morning the boys were happy to get outside. Eddie barely let me open Butler's crate, he was so excited! The boys both ran out to do their business, while I got their breakfast ready. Eddie heard that and came right in. Butler took his time. He nibbled just a little, but wasn't too hungry this morning. They ran back out later to play some more. This afternoon the boys spent plenty of time lounging on the patio. They wrestled around in the grass and patrolled the fence as well. Later, they came in to cool off. Butler plopped down by the front door and Eddie laid in the dining room.

Scout

This morning I opened the door to the house and stood outside and called for Scout. He must have been sleeping. It took a minute, but then he appeared at the door. He was being a little shy and wouldn't come out any further than that. So, I had to bribe him a little. :) I went and got one of his treats and tossed him a piece. He went and got that, then came over to check me out. He sniffed at me a bit, then accepted another piece of his treat. He followed me inside and took his pill for me like a good boy. After that we went back outside. I could tell that he was becoming more comfortable. I asked where his ball was and we went to get it. He didn't seem to interested in playing with that. I was trying to get him all excited so he would want to. Then, he got all crazy! I was stomping my feet and being silly and that got him running, and jumping and flailing his legs around! He made me laugh. We did that several more times and he seemed to be having fun. He just didn't feel like playing with any of his toys today, but that's ok too.

Eddie & Butler

This afternoon I let the boys out to play. They ran outside and explored the yard a little while. After that, they were laying in the grass. Butler was on his back and Eddie was laying on his belly pawing at his brother. They wrestled around and had fun. The boys ran over to visit me for a bit. They were quite curious about the horsey smell on me today. When it was time, we headed inside. Later today, I let the pups out for a potty break. When they returned, I got their dinners ready. Eddie went right in his bed to wait for his bowl to be delivered. Butler didn't seem to interested in his food at the moment. He went and laid on the living room floor, then rolled around and was acting silly. He eventually did eat his dinner for me. This evening, I let the boys out and they both spent a couple minutes saying hi. They went outside to play and explore for awhile. Later, Butler came in and stood in front of me and was all excited. It took me a second to realize he had a tennis ball in his mouth! The boys got all silly and wrestled around after that. They had fun playing tonight until it was time for bed.

Daisy & Figaro

This morning I was happy to spot Figaro snoozing on her chair when I walked in. She sat up and looked at me from her chair when she heard me inside. I got Daisy her food, then went to check everyone's boxes and food and water dishes. Figaro must have missed me! She was really trying to come inside with me every time I had to go in. She waited at the door, then returned to rubbing up against my leg as I walked. Finally, she got to have her attention! I sat down and she played with her toy for a bit. After that, she came and just sat in my lap, enjoying some lovins. Such a sweet kitty!

Shadow & Lucy

This morning both kitties came to wait in the kitchen, while I got their food ready. Shadow started to eat and Lucy went to sit by the door to look outside. I got them some fresh water and scooped their box. When I got back, Lucy gave me a meow and did a cute little hop towards me. She came over and got a little attention. I went to find Shadow, who was sitting in the office again. Lucy tagged along and hopped up next to him while I tried to get a picture. Lucy and I played in the living room for a little while with her rope. Shadow even came out to join in the fun! Lucy got bored and went to look out the front door again. Shadow continued to chase and pounce on the rope.

Rusty & Ruby

This afternoon I saw Rusty looking at me from the recliner in the living room. He had his head laying on the arm rest. Haha. I let Ruby out and she raced to the back door. I called for her, then she came running back and we headed out the side door. Ruby went out and did her business right away. She came back and sat with me for awhile. Rusty went out to the grass and flopped down next to his ball. Ruby went out to join him after awhile and they both rolled around a bit. Rusty and I played fetch when he was ready. We got a long game in today since it was cloudy and a bit cooler for him.

Oscar

This afternoon Oscar was ready for me. He pranced his way to the door and was happy for his pets and heiny scratches along the way. Once we got outside he was ready and waiting for more. He made me laugh, because he thought it was fun to walk back and forth through my legs! What a goofball. When he was done saying hi and getting his attention, he wandered out to the yard. I grabbed his frisbee and threw it for him a couple times. Unfortunately, the last time the wind caught it, took it way up and landed it on the roof. :( I tried to get it down for him but couldn't quite reach from the ground. It's sitting just above where the ceiling fan is on the patio. I'm sure someone could push it down with a broom from the window up there. I just didn't want to go roaming around the house where I didn't need to be lol. I didn't want to get his other frisbee stuck, so we held off on that. I got Oscar a drink, then he went to relax in the grass for awhile.

Eddie & Butler

This afternoon I let Eddie out and he helped me get Butler out next. The boys were circling me excitedly. I told them to go out and play while I got them some fresh water. They were busy exploring when I got outside with them. Butler ran over to give me a few kisses. Eddie eventually wandered over as well and was quite interested in all the animal smells on me! Haha. The boys had fun wrestling around for awhile, then they relaxed on the patio. It was cloudy and cooler out today, so they spent more time playing since they couldn't sunbathe.

Winston

Today Winston was slow to get out of his bed. The cloudy weather makes me sleepy too! I got him hooked up, then we headed outside. We walked around for a bit and he did his business. We decided to take advantage of the cooler weather today and we went for a nice long walk. Winston got to sniff at all kinds of stuff. He kept getting excited if he heard a door open or saw new people. When we got back, we had a little time to play. I think I tired him out. He wasn't in too much of a tug of war mood today. We played with his rope and he'd pull a little, but he'd give up pretty quick! He then wanted to be silly so he kept coming over and rolling around next to me.

Shadow & Lucy

Today I walked into the kitchen when I arrived. I checked the fridge to see if there were any open cans of food, and I felt someone rub up against my leg. I heard a meow shortly after that. Miss Lucy had come to see me! Shadow appeared as soon as he heard the can open. I got them their yummy snack, which Shadow went to work on right away. Lucy went to sit on her box by the rope toy. She's so funny. She waited there for me until I was done with my chores. Shadow had finished up eating and was in the office, looking out the window. Lucy rolled around by me and was talking to me as she enjoyed some pets and chin scratches. We played with her rope for awhile too. When she heard some birds chirping outside, she raced in by Shadow to go look out the window.

Daisy & Figaro

This morning Daisy was sitting on her towel by the door. She was meowing at me even though she couldn't see me yet. I got her food ready and she hopped down to work on that. I went outside and took care of Figaro 's things. To my surprise, by the time I was done, she hadn't shown up yet. I hung around outside for awhile and called for her often. She must be out exploring today, since it's a little cooler out. Hopefully I will get to see her tomorrow.

Daisy & Figaro

Today Daisy was sitting up by the window. I got her food ready and she was already talking to me. She was pretty vocal today! Haha. I saw Figaro was at the door waiting for me. I scooped her box and got her some fresh food and water. She was busy following along and rubbing up against my legs. When Daisy was done eating, she was sitting at the gate meowing quite pitifully. I think she's ready for her people to return. Figaro played a little with her toy. After that, she decided to crawl in my lap and get some attention. She loves her chin scratches!

Rusty & Ruby

This afternoon I heard the pups coming in from outside. They were racing in to see who was home. I think I may have startled Ruby a bit! We were both coming around the corner of the kitchen at the same time. Haha. She was bouncing and running around the house being silly. I had them come back outside with me awhile. Rusty rolled around in the grass as usual and sunbathed for awhile. Ruby sat by me for attention most of the time. She laid down nearby to relax. She and I walked out to the grass for awhile so I could try to get her to go potty for me. She didn't go, but since they were already outside when I arrived, I took a chance, hoping she already did.

Winston

This afternoon Winston was just sitting quietly in his little bed. He came out and did some big stretches at the door before we got ready to go. We headed outside and he kept stopping to sniff at the steps. Wonder what he smelled? He peed for me a few times, but didn't have to do the other today. We took a long walk around. He spotted another pup and they were busy rrr-ing at each other for a bit. Haha. Eventually, we headed back. As soon as I sat down, Winston was bouncing all over and talking to me. He hopped across my lap to grab his orange monster toy. He was sure all about playing tug today! He kept doing his little bouncing backwards thing, making me laugh. We got a few throws in to play a little fetch too, before we moved on to his rope toy.

Eddie & Butler

This afternoon the boys were pretty excited when I let them out. I had to tell them to go outside and I'd be right there. They both hopped up on the table together to get closer and say hi. They're so silly. Eddie then ran out to the yard to roll around in the grass. The boys kept busy today. Neighbor dogs on all sides seemed to take turns coming outside. So as soon as they heard a bark, they would race over to that side of the fence. They eventually wore themselves out and returned to the cool tile floor inside. Butler took a little bribing to go into his bed today!

Oscar

My buddy was right at the door to greet me today. He walked alongside me to the back door, smooshing his face against my side as I pet him. He's so silly. He went to lounge in the grass awhile when he got out there. He moved to the opposite side later to watch some birds in the neighbor's yard. I wandered out to find the snake's shedding from the other day. I did and got rid of it for mom. ;) I got Oscar's frisbee after that and I tried to get him to play. I tossed it to him and he got a couple treats for his successful catches. I tossed it a little further away next time and he just watched it and laid down. He just wanted to be lazy today I guess! We did play tug with it later on and he was talking to me during. Haha. I got him some water for his dish outside and he got a drink from the hose. After that, he laid on the patio next to me and I pet him while he napped.

Rusty & Ruby

This afternoon I let Ruby out of her bed as she was dancing around in there. She went right outside and didn't even wait for us today! Rusty came running in the kitchen, then he ran back to the front room to grab his ball. We headed out to join Ruby. Today both pups lounged in the grass for awhile to soak up some sun.  Ruby was trying to head back in when she'd had enough, and ended up wandering around on the patio a little while. Rusty and I got a few throws of his ball in today, then we all headed inside to cool off. The pups both went and sat in their spots in the front room.

Daisy & Figaro

This morning Daisy was sitting on the counter by the door. She hopped down right away when she heard me. She was acting a little ornery today and was talking sassy at me as she sat by the gate, waiting for her food. I gave her some space and delivered it, then she was fine. Figaro had been snoozing out on her chair. I went out to see her and she was in a lovey mood. She wasn't interested in her toy at first, she just wanted her chin scratches. She even climbed in my lap to sit with me awhile. Poor Daisy was inside watching and meowing at us. She'll be happy when mom and dad are home again. :)

Eddie & Butler

This afternoon I let the boys out and they both gave me a kiss before they ran outside. It was another nice and warm day out for them. The neighbor was out watering or using a hose in a pool or something. So the boys were both at the fence, watching very curiously. They took a break to lounge on the patio. As soon as they heard a noise, they were right back over there. Eventually, the boys went inside to cool off for awhile.

Winston

This afternoon Winston was at the gate waiting for me. He wandered out and lined up at the door, ready to go. We made our way outside and Winston got right to sniffing around. He took a few potty breaks and got all his business done. He continued to explore around the yard a bit. He let me know today when he was ready to go back in by heading down the hill towards the stairs. We got inside and he could hardly wait for me to take his harness off! He raced off to grab his orange guy. He shook that around and held still long enough for me to grab on, then went right to tugging! He's so silly. He wanted to play tug with his green bone, but that one is so hard to grab without me getting his little whiskers. I went and found his rope, while he took his green toy to his bed. We had fun playing with his rope the rest of the time.

Oscar

I got Oscar all riled up when I came in today! He was just so happy when I got there, I couldn't help but be happy too! I gave him some back scratches, then we made our way to the back door. As soon as he got out there, he found a nice sunny spot in the grass. He lounged around for awhile in different areas. He had the hiccups for a minute, which I couldn't help but giggle at. When they stopped, he rolled around in the grass, making silly sounds. "Ahhh this feels good!" The neighbor dog was getting all excited about the cows, so Oscar had to go to the fence to see what that was all about. His Boxer friend then came over to say hi. I got Oscar's frisbee out and threw it for him, which he just watched it land in the distance. Haha. As soon as I started to walk towards it, then he was ready to play. We played tug with that for awhile. Later, I noticed he was having fun with something in the grass. I went over to check out what it was, then he decided to pick it up and run away with it. It was a snake's shed skin! He kept running from me, so the only way I could get him to drop it was to go inside. Sneaky! Haha. We played inside for a little longer, then he got his snack.

Rusty & Ruby

This afternoon after I let Ruby out, she was the one to go get Rusty for me. She ran to the front room and returned with her buddy in tow. We headed outside after that. Rusty began exploring, and Ruby kind of stood around looking confused. She sure doesn't seem to know what to think of the patio situation. I called her over and she sat with me for some attention. Rusty eventually wandered over and deposited his toy at my feet. We played fetch for awhile, as Ruby sat and enjoyed her snuggles.

Winston

This afternoon Winston came out and was excited to go for his walk. We headed out and the sun was shining today. He did both of his duties pretty quick, so we wandered around a little after that. When we went inside again, Winston started telling me stories as soon as his harness was off. Then, he was frantically searching for a toy! He grabbed his orange guy, who was closest. We played a little bit of fetch with him at first. Winston was ready for a game of tug after a few throws. Since orange monster guy was in danger of having his arm amputated, I went looking for Winston's rope toy instead. I found that and we continued playing until it was time to go.

Eddie & Butler

I let Eddie out and he came over to say hi as I let Butler out. The boys both ran outside. Once I got out there, Butler saw me and came bouncing on over. He hopped on the table and gave me some kisses. Eddie saw that and had to join in! He sniffed at me for a bit and waited for his pets. Then, they both wandered off. They were happy to get some sunbathing in after a rainy day yesterday. It was actually even too hot out for them today. Eddie went inside first to go cool off. It wasn't long before Butler went in to join him on the cool tile floor.

Daisy & Figaro

This morning I got breakfast ready for Miss Daisy. She was sitting on the dryer, watching. I saw Figaro was sleeping soundly on her chair today. I got a picture before she woke up and appeared at the door. After Daisy was all taken care of, I went to go out by Figaro. We played with her toy for awhile and she had fun rolling and jumping around. Then, she just walked off. I watched to see what she was up to. She has two bowls of cool, clean water. But, she decided to go get a drink from one of the pot's drainage dishes. Silly cat! She came back and laid in her chair to groom for a little bit. Then, she wanted some love, so she wandered over for some chin scratches. I think Daisy was getting a little jealous today. She was sitting by the gate, meowing loud enough for me to hear. She could see me from where I was at.
