Maycie & Luke

This morning Maycie and Luke didn't even bark when I came in. We went outside to play for awhile. Maycie went out to a corner of the yard and was exploring, while I was playing fetch with Luke. She helped him chase after the ball for awhile, and even got it a couple times! She found a stick in the yard so I threw that for her a little too. They came inside and had their breakfast this morning before I left. This afternoon Maycie helped Luke chase after the ball almost the whole visit. He looks like one of those frisbee dogs the way he jumps and twists in the air! She chased after him a couple times and tried biting the back of his legs. Later, the neighbor dogs were out and Maycie was running back and forth along the fence with them and trying to look under the fence. Tonight Maycie was a little sassy with Luke! She was growling at him and biting at his back legs when we were going out the door! She did that a few more times when he was running after the ball. Luke couldn't find the ball a couple times, but he did a good job of tracking it in the dark! By the time I decided to go out and help him look for it, he'd have it already. Maycie explored around the yard a little, far out enough that I couldn't see her in the dark. Then all of a sudden, there would be a flash of white flying right toward me!

Dakota & Benny

I let Kota and Benny go outside right away tonight. I threw the ball for them when Benny would give it up for me. Kota decided to play with a branch of leaves that had fallen out of the tree. She tossed it around for herself and pawed at it a few times! Someone was mowing the field behind the house, so Benny was going crazy! He was barking and running along the fenceline every time it came close. He was too concerned with that to play fetch anymore! Haha! When the mower came right up to the fence Kota helped Benny out. Kota went potty while we were out back and it was somewhat formed, but still on the soft side. Benny was so worried about protecting his yard from the evil lawnmower, that he didn't want to come inside!

Taz

Taz was sleeping in his house this morning when I came to see him. I had to call him to get him to come out! It was raining this morning, so we just went for the medium walk and spent the rest of the time playing fetch. I think I actually tired him out throwing the ball! He couldn't find it once, so I went and got it for him. Then later, he didn't seem to be interested in going after it anymore.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

I let the boys out right away this morning. Sugar just went and hid under the bed. Buddy and Jimmy were searching around the patio for something. Buddy climbed all over everything and tried to pick up the doggie bed in the corner. It started raining pretty good, so they didn't get to stay out all morning. After I gave the boys their meds, I got Sugar out of hiding with a treat and had her go outside quick. She came in and sat in Buddy's usual spot on the top of the couch with a rawhide. When I was rounding them up to put them to bed, Jimmy grabbed a rawhide and was tossing it around for himself!

Maycie & Luke

Maycie and Luke were barking when I walked in through the front door, but did great when I let them outside! Luke was just fine and didn't growl or anything. Luke and I played fetch while Maycie was hunting down June bugs! I'm pretty sure she got every single bug that moved on the patio! I tired out Luke pretty good, so he eventually laid down and didn't want to chase after it anymore. At one point he couldn't find the ball, so I went out to help him look for it. I gave Maycie a back scratch while Luke was resting. When it was time to go in, Maycie followed me right away. It took Luke a second, but he eventually came too. He walked into the garage, then laid in the kennel that's in there! Luke was pretty thirsty! I think he was trying to cool down, because he stuck his foot in the water and splashed it all over. I let them go potty one more time before I left since they drank a lot.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

The kiddos were all ready to come inside for the night. Sugar ran right to the couch and dug out a bone to start chewing on. I gave Buddy and Jimmy their meds. Sugar came over to say hi to me for a little while, so Buddy took her spot. Jimmy and Sugar snuggled up with me on the couch. Buddy hopped down to eat a little supper, and the other two who were watching like little vultures, immediately ran to the couch and fought over who would get the bone next! They are so funny!

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Buddy came running over to the fence when I pulled in this afternoon. I went out back to play with them for a little bit. Their water bowl was full of all kinds of stuff from the wind, so I changed their water. Sugar and Jimmy came over to be pet and Buddy was searching around the patio. After a little bit they all relaxed and laid down. Sugar watched the workers next door for a little bit.

Taz

Taz was waiting at the gate for me when I pulled up today. It was super windy out, but a lot warmer than the last couple mornings. A little boy and his dad were outside as we walked by. The little boy said hi and commented on what a big dog Taz was! We took the nice long route today and played some fetch when we got back. On the long sidewalk right before home, one of the poor trees was snapped right in half and laying on the sidewalk! Taz had to check it out when we went by. Also, this morning there were dogs outside at the two houses across the street, so Taz was not letting them out of his sight.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

I let everyone out to go potty tonight when I got there. Apparently the boys were fighting outside today, so they had to be put in for awhile. Naughty boys! After I gave them their meds, Jimmy snuggled up on the couch with me. Buddy hopped up on the other couch and was digging in the pillows. I wasn't sure what he was doing, but then he pulled out a big rawhide! Buddy curled up on the doggie bed under the window with his bone. I put them back to bed for the night and gave them all a yummy treat!

Dakota & Benny

Benny was jumping all over me, trying to get my attention while I was putting Kota's harness on today! Then Kota was wooing in my ear while I was getting Benny's leash on. Kota was being a silly girl on our walk. She would walk up to the mailboxes, sniff at the bricks for a second, then start licking them! Later we were walking, then suddenly she skidded to a stop, flipped around and started running the other direction. By the time I turned around to see what she was after, she had already stopped again and came flying back the way we were going! I'm not sure if she was hunting robins or what... I had the hiccups today when I came to take them for their walk, so Benny kept looking back at me and giving me a funny look like, "What's wrong with you?". haha! When we got home Kota was finishing her food, so I sat and gave Benny a good back scratch until she was finished.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Jimmy and Buddy met me at the door this morning. I let the boys out right away, then gave them their meds. Sugar came out of hiding when I opened the bag of treats! I got everyone outside since it was pretty nice out already. Sugar wanted to go back in at first, but then she came and got some attention from me for awhile. Jimmy went out and curled up by a tree in the backyard. He was soaking up some sunlight and watching the birds occasionally flying over him. Buddy, of course, was hunting for something!

Taz

It was a beautiful morning for our walk today! Taz was waiting for me at the gate this morning, ready to go. We passed a lot of kids outside waiting for their bus to school. The little dog wasn't outside this morning, but Taz was still looking for him! We did have a little beagle try to follow us today, but luckily he kept his distance and eventually wandered off elsewhere. We took the long route for our walk, and played fetch for a little bit when we got home. Taz seemed to be looking around for something when we got back, but I'm not sure what it was. After I brought his ball out, he was only concerned with me throwing it for him!

Taz

Taz saw me coming down the driveway this morning and went running over to the gate right away. He was dancing around impatiently as I walked up! I gave him his allergy pills and put on his collar, then away we went. We took the medium route today so that we could play fetch a little longer. He was so excited yesterday and wanted me to keep throwing his ball for him. It was a little chilly this morning, but Taz didn't seem to mind at all. After we got back from our walk he just couldn't wait! I threw the ball for the first time and he ran circles around his dog house a few times before finally coming for his treat.

Dakota & Benny

Benny was pretty calm when I first came in, but in no time he was running his laps. Today was pretty quiet; we didn't run into any other dogs. Kota and Benny were doing their little race, barking back and forth at each other when we first started. We were coming up to a guy mowing his lawn. Benny perked up and started getting ready to sound real tough, but we crossed the street. At one point, Kota and Benny both ran circles in opposite directions around me to try and chase after a couple birds! It took me a minute to get everyone untangled without falling over! Benny was very happy today, because his favorite dogs were in their backyard. He was so excited, chasing along the fence, that even Kota joined in!

Taz

Taz was lounging by a tree in his yard when I pulled up this morning. As soon as I got out, he started jumping and barking at the gate! I gave him his allergy pills for today and then got his collar put on. After I let him out he was dancing around excitedly until we got on our way. We took the long route again today. The little dog was out in the front yard again, so he didn't explore too much. When we got to the other section where he gets a longer leash, a bunch of cyclists came through, so I kept him close until they passed. After we got back, we played fetch for a little bit again.

Koko & Sierra

The girls were excited this morning! I let them out and they both started sniffing me all over. They could smell the other dogs on me that I was with earlier. I like Sierra's pretty new harness! I got their breakfast ready, but Sierra was too interested in playing lighty to eat. While I was cleaning up their potty pads Koko came from behind me, grabbed my arm with her front paws and gave me kisses! When I was finished we played lighty. Today they had the whole living room to run around so Koko was happy about that! This evening Sierra had only eaten the chicken pieces from her food after I'd left. The girls followed me around while I got their supper ready and cleaned their potty pads. Sierra ate the chicken and some of the kibble for supper, but that was it. We played lighty for quite awhile and Koko was racing around the room as fast as she could! Once in awhile they would figure out that the light was coming from my hand. Koko tried jumping up and biting it, and Sierra just would nudge my hand. I said goodbye to the girls for probably the last time... but you will have to give them lots of hugs and kisses once in awhile for me! I will really miss them!

Dakota & Benny

I let Kota and Benny out this morning and gave them their meds. I played fetch with Benny for awhile, when he would give up the ball. He came over by me a lot so I could get his itchies for him. Kota wrestled around with Benny and I, and later sat by me so I'd pet her. She wasn't interested in her breakfast, so I grabbed a few of her kibbles and started tossing them around. She had a blast with that! Sometimes she'd pick them up and throw them around too before she'd eat them. A couple times one would land on her back and she would look from side to side, until it would fall off! It was really nice out this afternoon, so we went for our walk. We encountered a dachschund and a bulldog on our walk today, but thankfully the owners were there to stop them from following us! Benny wasn't happy at all! After he settled down, he helped Kota chase after some robins. Kota saw a little pink golf ball and picked that up along the way. She kept tossing it ahead of us, then it'd bounce and she would run after it! She kept doing that for the majority of our walk today, until we saw one of the dogs and had to leave it behind. When we got home I tossed some kibbles for Kota again. Benny helped her catch them too, when she let him! She ate a good amount for lunch before I put her back to bed.

Taz

Taz really wanted to go for his walk this morning! He started barking and crying when I walked up to the fence. I gave him his allergy pills and then we went on our way. His little sniffer was working hard this morning! I think the wind was carrying a lot of scents that he picked up. He was looking around a lot and sticking his nose into the air. We passed the bbq house and there was a dog barking in the backyard, so Taz started to cry a little. We took the long route today, and that little dog was out in the front yard. Taz saw him from way back, so that's all he was interested in. After we got back from our walk we played fetch for a few minutes.

Dakota & Benny

It was really nice out this afternoon, so we went for our walk. It wasn't too hot or cold, so Benny didn't get too tired out. Kota was chasing after a few birds again today and came very close to one of them! Benny was in a chasing mood too! He tried to get the cars, ice cream truck, mail truck, and a motorcycle that passed by! He was pretty disappointed today too. The dogs weren't out today at his absolute favorite house, where he races along the fenceline with them! He was ready, and then he sort of stopped every couple steps after he realized they weren't there. Tonight I let them outside and gave them their meds. Kota finished her food from earlier and snuck a couple bites from Benny's bowl on the counter before I caught her! Benny and I played fetch for awhile tonight. Kota and Benny wrestled around a little and we all chased each other around for a bit. Kota wanted to go back outside again, so I let her out. I went to call her back inside and I saw her jump like she'd been spooked by something. She started barking like crazy and Benny did too from inside. I walked out there to see what she was doing, and I saw a big black cat all puffed up and hissing on the top of the fence! Kota kept barking at it and the cat just sat there until I got Kota back inside.

Taz

Taz was happy to go for his walk this morning. As we were walking down the driveway, he spotted some kids walking in the distance and began to cry a little! They were gone by the time we got there. A couple boys were riding their bikes in circles in the street near us, and Taz didn't seem to notice too much. We took the long route today, and it was very comfortable out. Taz stared at one of the houses we passed by, like he was expecting that little dog to come outside! When we got back, I had him sit by his house for his chewie treat. He was trying to be sneaky and moved forward really quickly, so we had to do it again until he stayed!

Dakota & Benny

I could hear Benny barking before I even walked in today! He grabbed his ball right away and proceeded to do his laps while I let Kota out. He stood up against my leg while I was getting Kota's harness on, wanting me to play fetch! He tried to bring his ball along for our walk and even tried to get it after I tossed it back inside. He was barking nonstop for the first little bit of our walk today! Someone was excited! Kota was curious about all kinds of things. We passed a lady walking her dog and some kids playing football in the street and she kept looking back to watch them. When we got home, they were ready to get inside and have a drink of water. Benny waited for me to get him some fresh cool water and Kota waited for her ice cubes!
Somebody's tired!

Koko & Sierra

Koko and Sierra were very excited this morning and were jumping up and down at the gate! Sierra had finished the last little bit of her supper from last night. I waited with her in the kitchen this morning and she finished all of her breakfast for me! Koko came and said hi while I was waiting, after she had finished hers. I cleaned up their potty pads and then we played lighty. Little miss Koko was a little sassy girl this morning! She sure didn't want to share the light with Sierra. She kept running over and growled or barked at Sierra when she was trying to chase the light! Tonight the girls were happy to see me again. They were running ahead of me to the kitchen and bounced up and down by the drawer, ready to play! Sierra was way too excited tonight to eat her food, even with me waiting for her. She did have a couple bites though. We played lighty for awhile again. Koko still didn't want to share! She barked a lot more than usual, but she was having a blast!

Koko & Sierra

The cardboard box to the garbage bags that was in their room was shredded to bits all over the floor! Someone had some fun! Sierra was a good girl and finished her supper last night. I got their breakfast ready and this time I waited in the kitchen with Sierra. She finished her breakfast right away for me too! When she was done we played lighty for awhile. This evening the girls were whining for me while I put the mail on the counter before I let them out! I filled their food bucket tonight since they finished it off. Sierra was peeking up on the counter at the ball that I had confiscated earlier this week. She ate most of her supper for me right away while I waited in the kitchen with her. I think she gets worried that we're going to play lighty without her. Koko was running so fast after the light this evening! I think it's so funny when they push at the spot with their noses.

Dakota & Benny

Benny was doing his laps around the living room this afternoon. They both were so excited and pulling hard when we got going! Kota was stopping to smell flowers in planters by mailboxes along the way. She got another compliment on how beautiful she was today! Benny noticed a couple houses with their gate open, so he was curious and wanted to go check them out. We passed one house that usually doesn't have dogs out back, but today it did. Kota and Benny both got excited and pulled me over to the fence! Kota went both on our walk today, and had normal stool! Yay! She nibbled on her food a little when we got back, and I filled up Benny's bowl since it was empty when I got there.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Jimmy was roaming around the front yard when I pulled in tonight! I saw him right away as I got closer to the house. He still had his red collar on, and I couldn't figure out where he got out. Sugar and Buddy were in the backyard still, watching him. He came running up to me and hopped in my lap in the car. We went inside and let the other two in, then I gave the boys their evening meds. Buddy came running around the corner with the little rawhide I had put in their crates this morning. Sugar was snuggled in the blankets in the bedroom and later was in her hiding spot under the bed. She sure came running out when I grabbed some treats though!

Koko & Sierra

This morning the girls were peeking around the corner to see who was there. I let them out and got their breakfast ready. Sierra only ate the chicken pieces then wanted her lighty. Sierra must have smelled other dogs on me today too! She stood up on her hind legs and was smelling my shirt and hands. The girls followed me around as I cleaned up their potty pads. Then they waited at the end of the hall by the kitchen and just stared at me! I stopped to see what they'd do and they kept running into the kitchen, then back to the hall to see if I was coming. We played lighty for awhile, and they were chasing it like crazy! Tonight I came in and saw Sierra hadn't eaten her breakfast again. She didn't touch her supper tonight either. I tried to get her to eat, but had no luck. All she was concerned with was her lighty, and kept jumping up at the counter to show me where it was.
Are you coming? We're ready to play!!

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

I let everyone outside this morning when I came in. It was a little chilly to leave them out this morning. Sugar and Jimmy wanted back inside right away. Buddy didn't seem to mind since he was busy hunting again! I let them in and gave them their meds. Buddy was pawing at the cupboard again and Sugar was barking at me for her treat! Jimmy had tons of energy this morning and was jumping all over the place! He settled down after a little while and then snuggled with Sugar and I for a bit.
Hmmm, do you think they want a treat? I don't know... :)

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

It just doesn't feel right without my Mattie girl!  :(  She will be very missed! I let the kiddos outside right away tonight. Buddy and Jimmy spent the whole time outside and Sugar went and hid in her cave after she went potty. Buddy was trying to find something over in the corner by the grill. He was searching so hard and crawling all over everything! Jimmy helped him search for awhile, then he went and did his own thing. Jimmy came zooming across the backyard from one side to the other. I don't think I've ever heard him bark like that before! He was barking like crazy at the front yard, so I peeked around the corner to see what it was. The only thing I could see was that a neighbor was outside. He ran back and forth from one side to the other. One time he was barking Buddy perked his ears up and he came charging to Jimmy's aide! Those boys are so silly, they just crack me up! I gave them their meds when we came inside. Buddy was crying at me, so I asked him what he wanted and he pawed at the fridge and the treat cupboard!

Koko & Sierra

Sierra finally ate her supper for me! I guess she worked up enough of an appetite with her tummy grumbling so much last night. I don't think she's used to having the potty box in their new room yet. While I was getting their breakfast ready, I noticed she came out of the bathroom so I checked to make sure. She went potty in the bedroom... so I cleaned it up and shut the door now. Sierra just ate the chicken pieces this morning, then wanted to play. She hadn't finished her breakfast by the time I came this evening. I got their supper ready and Koko was stretching herself using my leg to hold herself up. Sierra ate the chicken again, then was ready to play lighty. So, I told her no lighty tonight unless she finishes her supper for me! Guess what... she turned right around and did just that! Since she was such a good girl, we played lighty for awhile before it was time to go.
Strrrrrrretch!

Dakota & Benny

Benny had an accident before I got there today. I picked it up and put it in the toilet to flush... and afterwards I realized it isn't flushing! So that's why it's in there! lol I let Kota out and cleaned up the spot quick. She was wooing at me, licking my face and started playing with my hair! Benny was sure happy to go for a walk today. I realized right after I locked the door that I forgot my potty bag in the house so went back to grab it quickly, and Benny put the brakes on... "No I wanna go for a walk!". They did their little race at the beginning. Kota was a little bird hunter again today. She looked up at the birds flying over, and tried sneaking up on any she saw hopping around in the yards. Benny went potty again on the walk, so I think he'll be good till you get home! He got pretty tired out and laid flat on the floor when we got home.

Koko & Sierra

Sierra didn't eat her supper from last night, but she did eat the chicken pieces after I left. She was uninterested in her breakfast again and was waiting for me to get the laser out. I moved their potty pads into their new room, and they were following me. They just looked at me like, "Hey what's going on?". Then they both bolted into the kitchen. They knew what time it was! Sierra didn't eat her breakfast from this morning. Hopefully she has an appetite soon! I said hi to the girls for awhile then got their supper ready. Koko was hopping up in my lap and snuggling with me and Sierra was sniffing at my face and dancing around excitedly. She still has lots of energy even though she hasn't ate much! Her tummy was grumbling and Koko would get startled and look around like, "What was that?!". It was pretty funny! We played lighty for a bit before it was time to go.

Lily & Grace

Lily and Grace were both staring in through the screen door, jumping up and down this morning! Lily ate her breakfast while Grace got some attention. Lily watched Grace eat hers, and every now and then would push her bowl around. I gave Grace her allergy pills this morning, and I could tell that she was itchy today. Grace dropped a piece underneath her, so Lily went between Grace's back legs and pushed her up in the air a little to get it! After breakfast they got their morning treats. Their coats were pretty wet this morning, but I brushed them anyways. They were happy about that! I got twice as much hair out of Lily as I did Grace. Lily sat at my side and if I stopped petting her to give Grace some attention, she would put her paw up on my arm, just to let me know she was still there! They gave me those sad faces again when I left, but I told them mom would be home later!

Koko & Sierra

The girls were happy to see me! Miss Sierra didn't eat her breakfast. I bet she's nervous with all the stuff going on right now. I got their supper ready, and Koko ate right away. Sierra was already staring at the drawer, so she didn't have interest in hers. I put her bowl back in the room for her to eat later. The girls said hi to me for a little bit, then we played lighty in the living room. Sierra had quite a bit of energy and was running and pouncing on the light! Koko ran circles around the living room carrying a toy like usual.
