Tank & CJ

This morning CJ was sprawled out on the grass by the gate when I arrived. Soon Tank was outside too and they were bouncing up and down, saying hi. I went in and saw that they had eaten a little bit of Tank's food. Doesn't look like anyone is eating CJ's. We went out back and they both sat at my feet and got lots of love. They wandered around a bit more today. But anytime Tank would see me petting CJ, he would come racing over and nudge my hand to pet him instead. I grabbed out a squeaky toy to see if Tank would play some fetch with me. He would gallop over to it and pounce on it, but then would come running back to me, leaving the toy where it dropped! Silly boy! We went into the garage to get them to eat a little. Today they took turns. One would sit by me getting pet, while the other would nibble on some food. Then, switch! I gave them each one of their yummy bones to work on before I left. This evening I saw they hadn't eaten much since I left. So, I got them each part of a can of food to get something in their tummies. After they cleaned off their plates, we went out to the back. They both snuggled me and gave me kisses as I pet them. CJ wandered off and started rolling around on the patio, being a silly girl. Tank ran over and played with her a bit. Then, he grabbed his bone, which he had hiding in the stones somewhere. Before I left for the night they each got a chicken treat.

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

This afternoon everyone was barking at my arrival. I let the three little ones outside. Dilly and Roxy hung around by me for a little bit to say hi and get pet. Then, they wandered off and joined Biscuit out in the yard to explore. It was another gorgeous afternoon. The three pups were having fun sniffing around until it was time for the girls to go in their room. Bert came out next and did the same. Then, she went running over to the fence to see what the neighbor was up to. When it was time, she joined Biscuit in the kitchen and everyone got a treat.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This morning the cleaning gals were there, so the kiddos were already having fun outside. I let them in to have their meds. Then they each got a plate of veggies and rice. I gave everyone a treat, then we headed back outside. This evening we spent awhile outside before coming in for meds. It was such a nice day out! The neighbors were outside and I think they had people over, so that got the pups excited once in awhile. Later we went in and I got them all their meds. Since it was so nice out, we came back outside and they worked on eating their dry food.

Tank & CJ

This morning Tank and CJ were both outside when I pulled up. They started barking, then raced into the garage as I went inside. They were waiting for me at the gate, both tails wagging! We headed outside and made our way out back to check their water. They were so snuggly! Tank was pretty much attached to me the whole time. He was being a little booger and would try to push CJ away to hog all the attention! Later we went into the garage to see if they would eat for me. Tank got working on his breakfast. He didn't seem to want CJ to go by the bowls, so she was content sitting next to me and getting all kinds of love. She gave me lots and lots of kisses in return! I made sure all their water bowls were full. Tank was being silly while we were outside and was running around like crazy. I got them each a treat before I left. This evening I saw Tank lounging in the grass when I pulled up. He hopped up and they both stood at the fence barking. But they didn't do it for long, because they had to run in and meet me at the gate. Tonight I got them their canned food snack. They both licked their plates clean. Then, we went out back to enjoy the evening. Tank and CJ both sat at my feet and got their backs and tummies pet for a long time. I got them their dinner and we went in the garage to see if they would eat some more. I gave them another treat before it was time to go.

Zeus, Zena, Baby & Chico

Today Chico was not nearly as shy! He started crying when I let the other two out of their beds. Then, he went racing to the door with me. He spent most of his time wandering close-by. Baby went and laid in the shade in the corner of the yard for awhile. Miss Zena snuck out of her side again and gave Chico more kisses. Those two little cuties followed me all over the place. I went in to give them all some more water, and Zeus stood by to watch. I had to put Zena back in with the others and sneak back into the house so she would stay over there. As soon as I got in, Chico made his way to the other side as well.

Miranda

This afternoon it took Miranda a minute before she came to say hi. She must have been napping! We headed outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. She made sure to bring a toy out with us today. I threw it once, then she went and laid down with it at the back of the yard. After a few minutes I went over and stole her toy for a short game of fetch. She brought it back a few times, then wanted to play tug of war until it was time to head in.

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

Today Biscuit and Roxy both raced out the door while Dilly was still bouncing up and down at me. After I pet her a little bit, she and Roxy went running around together. It was so cute! Biscuit was off on his own side of the yard, sniffing and checking things out. The girls came back later and both stood with their paws against my legs, wanting more attention. Bert came outside after the other two girls went in their room. She sat by me for a few minutes, then went off to do her business. Later, we played some fetch with her squeaky star toy. She would shake it around when she got it, then would come and roll over at my feet while holding the toy, for a good tummy rub!

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This morning I let everyone outside. They came back in and all got their meds. After breakfast, Buddy ran and got the squeaker toy Jimmy usually brings me! Jimmy came running over, and I asked where his toy was. He just turned his head and glared at Buddy! It made me laugh so hard! Finally I went and grabbed an identical toy from the kitchen. I tossed it for Jimmy and soon Buddy was trying to play fetch too. Eventually he got it before Jimmy, so Jimmy came and snuggled me instead. Sugar was in a playful mood too, bouncing around behind Buddy trying to tease him! This evening we went out to play for awhile before getting their meds. Tonight I gave Sugar her injection while she was eating her potatoes so she was distracted. She didn't even flinch! After she ate a bit of kibble we all went outside again since it was so nice out. Buddy came running over with a bone and chewed on it for awhile. Then it was a game of musical bone! Sugar stole it from Buddy and chewed on it, then Jimmy stole it from her!

Frankie

This evening I came in and turned on the light to see Frankie making her way over to say hi. She sat down by the door and waited for me to get her leash on her. Then, we went out for a stroll! It was nice out, so we went for a long walk around the property. We saw a few other dogs coming out to do their business as well. One little dog in the distance sure got Frankie excited! Later we headed back upstairs and got her a treat. Then, we spent the last few minutes sitting out on the patio, enjoying the nice evening air.

Scout, Ginger, Tiger & Scotch

The pups were all peeking out the window when I pulled up tonight. Tiger was first to meet me at the gate. They all raced behind me as we headed to the back door. It was so nice out! We spent the whole time relaxing outside. Scout wandered over to the fence to say hi to the cute neighbor puppies. Tiger lounged around on the patio in the shade after doing some exploring. Miss Ginger would wander over and do a big stretch up against my legs. Later we headed inside and got the girls their meds. Then, I stopped to see Scotch. Before I left, I gave the pups all a bone to chew on.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This morning I let the babies outside when I arrived. Sugar seemed to have perked up a bit more. They ran around and played for a little bit before we went in for their meds. Sugar was a good girl and took her insulin, then got a treat. Afterwards, Sugar and Buddy ate a little kibble while Jimmy played some fetch. This evening we played outside again for awhile when I first got there. Miss Sugar was just hopping around and being silly! She was definitely in a good mood tonight. We headed in to give her her shot and the boys their meds. They worked on dinner a little bit before we went back outside again.

Zeus, Zena, Baby & Chico

Today I noticed a new pup in the kitchen! I wasn't sure if they could all go out together, so I let Zeus and Zena out by Baby first. Then, I let the new pup outside. It didn't matter, because he could just waltz back and forth through the fence since he was so tiny! I figured out his name was Chico by his collar. Chico was a little shy at first, but soon he kept coming over for some pets. Zeus and Baby were exploring in their side of the yard. Eventually they got warm and laid under the table in the shade together. Miss Zena squeezed her way out from under the fence and came running over, hopping in my lap. Later she sat down by Chico and gave him lots of kisses. So cute! When it was time I let them all inside and came back out to make sure Baby had enough to drink. When I walked back in, I had myself a good laugh! Zeus had squished himself into Chico's cage! Chico was all curled up on the blanket in the kitchen. I went to put Zena in her bed first, then Chico hopped into Zeus's bed! Those boys were so silly. Finally I got them out and into the correct beds.

Miranda

This afternoon Miranda did her big stretch against the wall again when I came in. We headed outside right away. It was so nice out! Miranda went and sprawled out in the grass. She laid there for quite awhile, enjoying the warm sunshine. Later, we heard a horse neigh in the distance. I'm guessing it was going by in a trailer. That made Miranda's ears perk up, and she kept letting out little huffs and puffs under her breath! It was quite funny. Miranda was loving the weather so much today that it took her awhile before she got up and went potty. Finally she did, and we made our way back inside.

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

This afternoon the kiddos were all excited to get outside. Dilly, Biscuit and Roxy all did a little exploring when they first got out there. Roxy soon found a different rope to bring me to throw for her today. It wasn't long before Biscuit stole it from her! Eventually he would lose interest and walk away long enough for her to snag it and run it back to me. Then he'd join in the chase again! Dilly came and snuggled up in my lap a lot this afternoon. She just sat there and watched the other two play, or sniffed at the air. Bert came outside next and she did her business. After a little sniffing around and checking things out, Bert came and sat by me. She enjoyed a back rub the rest of the time, gently pawing at me to continue.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This morning I got Charlie bird back in his cage while the pups ran outside. Once they came back in, I gave Sugar her insulin. She took it like a champ! She was such a good girl. Then, she ran into the kitchen and barked at me for her breakfast like usual. I got the boys their meds, but Buddy was being a little booger. He didn't want to take them for me, but finally after trying a few things, I got him to take them. Afterwards, I let them all out for another potty break. This evening the pups all greeted me at the door. We headed outside for a little bit since it was so nice out. When we came back in I got Sugar her injection again. She was a little more sensitive this time. Poor little girl! I got her a cookie after so she'd feel better. I gave her lots of kisses for mom too. After the boys took their meds, we spent some more time outside. Jimmy was having fun trying to chase after some birds!

Buckley, Chloe, Tizzy, JR & Bootsie

Today Bootsie was curled up in the chair with the stuffed animal, looking comfy! He just looked up at me as the dogs zoomed past to the back door. As I was walking up to the sliding door, I saw that crazy little squirrel run down the tree and across the yard to the other one in the back! So needless to say, all four dogs did a slingshot out the door and hit the ground running! They spent pretty much the entire time sitting around that tree today. Buck ran over to say hi and get a back scratch occasionally. I had to laugh every time Tizzy ran up the side of the tree! Later we headed in and I got them some peanut butter snacks and a fresh bowl of water. Bootsie was still snuggled up in his spot!

Miranda

This afternoon Miranda peeked around the door as I opened it, to see who was home. After she said hi, she raced me to the back door. It was nice out, so she did a big stretch in the grass and sprawled out. Later she got up and came over for a back.scratch. After she went potty, we headed in and she wandered off to her room.

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

Today little miss Dilly was bouncing up high in the kitchen when I came in. I let the three little ones outside to play. They all did a little exploring. Roxy couldn't find a ball today, so she brought me her rope toy instead. She had fun fetching it by herself a few times before Biscuit joined in for some fun too. Dilly ran over for some love when I called for her. Then, she went back to checking things out in the corner of the yard. I put Dilly and Roxy in their room so Bert could come out to play for a bit. She had fun just wandering around and sniffing at things. Then, it was time to come in and get everyone a treat.

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

Today I let Dilly, Biscuit and Roxy all outside when I arrived. I kept a close eye on Dilly and had to call her away from the shed a couple times, but she pretty much stayed away. Today she decided to lay by the fence in the grass and soak up some sun. Roxy found her ball and rolled it over to me to throw. She and Biscuit had fun racing each other to go get it. If Biscuit would bring it back, she would bark at me to get it from him. Dilly came and visited with me for awhile too. Soon it was Bert's turn outside. She wandered around, sniffing and checking things out. She did her business, then came to sit by.me for some attention. When it was time I put her in the kitchen with Biscuit, then got everyone a treat!

Miranda

This afternoon Miranda met me at the door and did a big stretch up against the wall. We made our way to the back door and on outside. She ran around in the grass for a little bit. Then, Miranda came to get a back scratch. She turned in half circles for me to get her sides too. When she was ready, we headed back in and got her some fresh water.

Shelby, Boca & Jules

This morning I let the kitties out while Shelby went outside. Jules wandered off to curl up on the bed. Boca snuggled up on the couch for awhile. Shelby came back in and ate some breakfast while I sat with her. She curled up on her pillow for a minute until I called her back out. She sat on her back legs and put her front paws together, waving for me to pet her. She got a chest scratch which she almost fell asleep to. Then, she rolled over onto her back and got a nice long belly rub. Soon it was time for me to round everyone up for bed. This afternoon I let them all out again. It was nice out like yesterday, so Shelby got to spend a little time outside. I went to go pet Boca while Shelby came back in and ate a little more. Later, Boca and Jules were happy sitting in the front window, soaking up some sunlight. Shelby ran and got me her toy for us to play with the rest of the time.

Mac

This morning Mac heard me and met me at the gate. When he saw I was coming in, he raced to his food bowl to eat his breakfast. Afterwards, he quickly located his toy and brought it over, ready to play. It was nice and dewy out this morning again, so he got a soaked belly in no time! Mac was so funny. Once in awhile he would come from behind me and walk through my legs! That made me laugh. I tricked him a few times and threw it the opposite way when he had taken off in another direction. Then he would realize it and zoom all the way across to the other side. He took a few water breaks on his own. And he enjoyed gulping water from the spigot again while I got him a fresh bowl of water. On one of his breaks he would stick his whole mouth in the metal water bowl to get some big drinks. I could tell he was getting tired towards the end of our game. So, I went and got him his cookie to cool down and eat. He tried tossing his bone out behind me again, so I had to throw it one last time and sneak away before he could again!

Mac

This morning I called for Mac as I was coming into the yard. He was a sleepy boy and didn't get up until he saw me! I fed him his breakfast right away. He scarfed that down, then went on the hunt for his toy. I could see it, but he couldn't find it! I went and got it and started throwing it for him. We played fetch the whole rest of the time! He only put his bone down long enough to do his business. I made him walk over to the bowl with me and get a drink once in awhile because he was panting pretty good. The grass was still wet with dew, so water would be shooting up behind him as he raced around the yard! I made Mac drop his toy and sit for me each time before I'd throw it. He was such a good boy! The neighbor dogs came outside at one point but Mac was too focused on his game of fetch to say hi. He came over and took a drink from the spigot as I rinsed my hands off. Then, when it was time to go, he kept dropping the toy over the fence after I would go out. I finally threw it far enough for him and ran to get in my car. That time he decided to keep it. He should sleep good this afternoon!

Shelby, Boca & Jules

This morning I let Shelby and the kitties out and helped Jules down. Boca ran into the living room and curled up on the couch. I let Shelby outside and she came right back to the door when she finished. She snuggled up on the couch with me for a few minutes, then we played with her pink monkey! She let out cute playful "rrr-rrrr"s while we played a little tug. Then, she started zooming around the living room. After Shelby went out once more, I put the kitties and Shelby back in their beds and gave them each a treat. This afternoon I let them all out again. It was so nice out! So, Shelby and I went to play outside for a bit. She had fun racing back and forth along the fence when she heard someone walking by. Eventually we headed in and she worked on her lunch. I sat with her, and when she finished she went to grab her toy for some play time. This evening, Shelby started racing around the room when I got in. Boca, who was sitting on the couch, got up and gave me a meow hello. Miss Jules was napping on the bed, so I went to visit her while Shelby went potty. Shelby got her toy for me right away when she got back in. We played some tug, then she got a game of fetch in. Afterwards, Shelby enjoyed a long belly rub as she lounged on the couch.

Shelby, Boca & Jules

This evening Shelby was just inside the doorway, bouncing away happily when I arrived. She must have been running off of a full tank of energy because she started doing laps around the house like a crazy dog! I opened the backdoor so she could go outside and she zoomed right out. Meanwhile, Boca kept me company while she goofed around outside. She came back in and I gave her a small treat. Then I sat down and she pounced into my lap, nearly knocking me backwards. I couldn't help, but laugh! Then she curled up beside me and fell asleep. All that running is so tiring! All the while, Jules kept to herself in the master bedroom, sleeping on the bed.

Winston

This afternoon Winston started barking as I opened the door. He saw me and quickly scuttled over and started snorting excitedly. After a brief hello, I slipped his collar leash on then we headed out. It was so nice out, so I let him wander around in the grass for awhile. He went potty multiple times, he was such a good puppy! We headed back upstairs so he wouldn't get too dirty from the damp ground. I gave him a treat for being so good. He gobbled it up, then got smothered with hugs and kisses. His little snorts made me laugh so hard!

Daisy & Casper

This morning I got to working on getting the kitties a fresh bowl of food. I saw Daisy was lounging in her bed again. She waited until I left the room to make her way over to the bowl to eat. Next I fed the fish, who were already waiting at the top for some food. I went upstairs and found Casper sitting in a new spot under the bed. He just watched me while I snapped a new picture of him. Then he closed his eyes and went back to his nap. Back downstairs, miss Daisy had moved to her usual spot on top of the dryer.

Izzy, Daisy, Toby & fish

Today Izzy welcomed me in the laundry room. She meowed and trotted along behind me to her room. Today we put the 2nd cd we listened to back in and skipped ahead to songs we hadn't heard yet. She watched me while I cleaned her boxes and refilled her bowls. Izzy rubbed against the walls in the hallways until I came back out from feeding the fish! Next I went to see Daisy and Toby. The were over by the fence again and came running for their treats. I gave them some more water and a few pets before going back in by Izzy. She was quite the playful girl today! We played with her feather ball, then she thought my keys were a fun toy and rolled around with them for a bit. She chased after a few treats that I tossed around for her before I left.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon the pups were dancing in their cages when they saw me. They all raced to the back door to go outside. It was finally not raining for once! We spent a little while out there today, until they were ready to head in. Jimmy snuggled up on the couch with me. Buddy wanted to come up too, but those silly boys started talking sassy to each other. This evening it was a little light out from some breaks in the clouds, letting some sunlight through. It wasn't raining again, Yay! After the pups took a potty break and got their meds, we all went outside for the rest of the time. Jimmy was a brave little one and ventured out onto the pool cover to bark at the neighbors, or whatever he was seeing. Sugar looked at him a little bit and stuck a paw on there, but was a good girl and stayed off. Jimmy was just a talkative boy tonight! When some jets flew over he started barking at that too, which got Sugar and Buddy joining him as well.

Daisy & Casper

Today I came in and got the dishes soaking while I got the kitties each a new can of food. Miss Daisy was all curled up in her bed. She watched me walk in, then decided to get up and sit for a little while before she wandered over to eat after I went out. I cleaned out the litter boxes, then fed the fish their breakfast. Today I started upstairs to look for Casper, since he was up there yesterday. My suspicions were right. He was taking a nap under the bed up there, in a new spot. He didn't feel like moving, so he didn't come out for me today. I let him return to his nap. Daisy was sitting up by the window when I got back downstairs. I think she was waiting for the sun to come out!
