Chupie

It was a quiet day for Chupie today. I brought the empty dishes for the stray kitties inside to refill. I noticed Chupie hadn't eaten all her food from yesterday, so I thought maybe I startled her. So, I didn't attempt to see her today and let her be. She seems to be doing well though!

Shadow & Lucy

Today Lucy meowed when I walked in the door. Shadow appeared shortly after and met me in the kitchen. They both watched, while I got their food ready. Lucy laid on the cover to her box to wait for me to come back from cleaning their box. Shadow finished eating, wandered around the living room for a minute, then went to bird watch. Lucy wasn't up for playing today. She just wanted some lovin! She rolled around by me, got up and plopped down in another spot to roll some more, while she got her chin scratches. She kept talking to me the whole time. Haha. Before I left, I got out their special jar and gave them some snacks.

Rusty & Ruby

This afternoon I let Ruby out. She went to wait at the back door. I saw Rusty's red ball so I grabbed that and headed to the front room, since he wasn't coming to me calling. I no more than peeked in the room and showed his ball, and he leapt from his chair! We all headed out. I threw the ball for Rusty but he didn't see me do that, so it took a minute for him to find it. Once he did, he carried it to his spot and lounged in the grass. Ruby did her business when we got out and she joined Rusty. They were pretty lazy today and both stayed put there pretty much the whole time!

Eddie & Butler

This afternoon I let the boys out. Eddie and Butler both ran into the kitchen to say hi to me while I got them some water. I headed outside right behind them. Then, the both excitedly hopped on the table to say hi some more. Butler slathered me with kisses, while Eddie sniffed me all over. He could smell those horsie smells on me again today. The boys ran off to explore awhile. Eddie kept going in to get a drink. One time when he came back out, he kept putting his wet whiskers on me to share. Gave me the chills! Haha. Butler made me laugh today too. He went in to cool off. But then, he stuck his head out the door to listen for a sound he heard.

Scout

This morning Scout came outside when he heard me pull up. His little tail wagged while he waited for me to get in. Scout bounced around a little as I said hi. Then, we went in to get him his medicine. He enjoyed a nice cool drink from the hose as I filled his dishes and watered the plants. I checked everything out today and it looks like he hasn't tried to get in the house again, so the remaining four screens are still intact. So that was good. We went back in to check his food and I noticed that his feeder wasn't working correctly. Too much food came down and was blocking the door so it couldn't open as far. I'm not sure if he was able to get food out of there or not, so I emptied the whole thing out and only put maybe a quarter of the food back in. I tested it and the door was working this time. Just in case, I also filled up a bowl I found in there with food so he had another option. He actually nibbled on some food while I was there and he had the company. I plan on swinging by in the morning to check on him and make sure he has enough food tonorrow. When we finished, I tried to get him to play with his soccer ball. He wasn't much in the mood for that today, but he did run and bounce around for a bit!

Sadi & Stormy

This morning I went out to water the plants and returned for Stormy to greet me at the door. She followed along to the kitchen and was busy rubbing up against my legs while I got breakfast ready. She came along behind me and got right to work when I delivered it to their room. Sadi was lounging on the floor when I walked in. I got her up and gave her her medicine right away. She and Stormy ate while I took care of their other things. When Sadi was done, she turned around and cruised her way out of the room! That made me laugh. She was on a mission! I picked her up and took her to our spot. She enjoyed her brushing and chin scratches, while Stormy was busy playing with her toy. This evening Sadi was sleeping soundly in her bed. I scooped her up in the same position I found her and set her on the counter. She got to relax tonight for her meds! When we were done, I put her back in bed so she could go back to her nap.
