Oreo & Stuffs

This evening I saw Oreo's silhouette, sitting and waiting for me in the dark. He followed me to the kitchen and rolled around on the floor as I got his dinner. After I got them fresh food and water, I went to scoop their box. I checked the bedroom to see if Stuffy was in there. I didn't see him on the bed, but noticed, out of the corner of my eye, that he was sitting on the couch in there. I gave him a few chin scratches, then met Oreo in the living room. He rubbed his chin on my leg for a bit. I got out his light and had him chasing after that for awhile too. He cracks me up!

Shadow

This evening Shadow met me in the laundry room. I walked in the kitchen to read mom's note, and he was busy rubbing up against my legs. I went to the pantry to get him some food and his three snacks. He decided to help, and climbed up onto the shelves. Silly boy! I gave him his snacks to eat, while I got him some fresh food. He nibbled a bit. I went to go check his box and turn on lights in the meantime. When I got back, Shadow came and visited me in the living room. He sat next to me to be pet awhile, then climbed up onto the couch. He took breaks to go eat, then he eventually wandered off. Shadow walked me to the door when it was time to go.

Taz & Clyde

This afternoon the boys met me at the door. They happily went outside to do their business. I had to scoot Clyde quickly past the tree, because his wagging tail kept hitting it! The boys took their turns getting their paws wiped, then it was time for their dental chews. We could hear the ice chunks falling outside. Some almost sounded like thunder. That had Taz stopping to look up from his bone every time. This evening the boys met me at the door again. We headed to the garage to get them all leashed up. It was slightly on the warmer side this evening, so we got a nice long walk in. There were a couple dogs out in their yards, so the boys got excited when we went by. It was nice to walk around and see all the Christmas lights! When we got home, they went out for a last potty break. Then I got them their dinners.

Flax

This morning Flax and Boney were all curled up on their bed. Boney came wandering over, meowing at me. I said hi to him, then went in to get them some water. I came back out and got Flax some food next. Boney started eating Flax's food, so I guess he was a hungry boy! I filled his dish for him and he chowed down right away. I got Flax a yummy treat to work on before I left. This afternoon I pulled up and saw the boys were out sunning themselves in the driveway. Flax hopped up and started to bark at my car. When I got out, he stopped for a pet, before he wandered off. Boney followed me up to the door, as I went in to drop off the mail. He was sitting there, waiting for me to return. Flax had found a new spot to lay down on the driveway. I pet him a bit more, and Boney sat nearby. We could hear all the chunks of ice falling from the trees! It is melting quickly. This evening as I walked in, Flax got up and started to bark. Then he walked right past me, went outside and kept barking at my car! Haha! Boney hopped up on the stand, while I got their dinners ready. He started eating his yummy canned food. When I opened Flax's can, Boney came over to eat that instead. He must think he's a dog! Flax came in to eat, while I got them some fresh water. I put some ointment on his sore this evening as well. Once Flax finished his food, he wandered outside. I waited a few minutes, thinking he was just taking a potty break and would return shortly. Since he didnt, I went outside to see what he was up to. He was just laying in the driveway. Silly boy! I have to admit,  it was pretty nice out this evening and the stars were shining bright on this beautiful Christmas Eve!

Diesel & Odin

This morning the boys came running up to see me when I pulled up. Since I was having issues closing the gate, I put them in their house and locked them in. After I talked to dad, I went ahead and fed them, to keep them busy while I got the gate closed. I let them out when that was done, and went to break up the ice in their water bucket. Diesel was a thirsty boy! He sat and drank for a bit, while Odin visited with me. Then, they switched. I gave the boys each a treat before I left. They followed me to the gate and Odin started to bark at my car. Haha! This evening the boys came up to the gate to see who was here. The both leaned against me for a few pats, before we headed in for their dinner. Odin chowed down as soon as the kibbles hit his dish. He got his joint medicine again and they each got an after dinner snack. I went to check their water, and it was free of any ice, since it was pretty warm out. The boys went to get a drink because we were over there. Then, they both came over for some attention. I tried to throw a toy around for them, but they just wanted back scratches instead.

Gracie, Molly, Emma & the kitties

This morning Henry met me at the door. Molly came wandering up to me and followed me to let Emma out. The girls went outside for a bit to do their business. I got their breakfast ready for them. When they came in to eat, I leashed Gracie up. We took another short walk this morning, since it was pretty cold out. When we got back, I let her have time in the backyard to go potty. She got to go back in her room when she was done. This afternoon Emma met me at the door. She and Molly were ready to head outside. They spent awhile out there this afternoon, since the sun was shining. Lots of ice chunks are starting to fall from the trees. Henry kept me company while the girls were busy. He wanted some love. Smudge eventually came out to see me as well. She was in a playful mood and was swatting at the strings on my sweatshirt. Next, I went to let Gracie out. To my surprise, she wasn't hiding under the bed this afternoon. I found her laying in the closet. She was still being her scared little self, but she let me slip her collar on. I walked her to the back door and out to the backyard. I let her off the leash so she could go potty. I let her have some time outside as well. She did a little exploring, once she finally left the porch. She came back in later and I got everyone some treats. This evening Emma was right at the door to see me, as usual! She and Molly headed outside for a bit. I cleaned litter boxes and got dinner ready. When Molly and Emma came inside, they went right for their dishes. I gave Molly her pill, then went to see Gracie. This time she was curled up under the bed again. She went out pretty quick for me and spent some time outside. I sat on the stairs and pet Smudge and Henry for awhile. Emma came over for some attention as well. Molly had wandered into the bedroom to snack on the orange treat ball. I had refilled it this morning. When Gracie came in, I put the girls to bed and gave them all a bedtime treat.
