Flax

This morning the boys were all cozy on their bed when I walked in. I went in to feed Mr. Fish and get them some fresh water. Boney sat by the door until I got back. He was happy to get a fresh bowl of kibble and went to town on it. Flax was still lounging on his bed. I went to go pet him for awhile. Boney joined us when he was full, and played with cords on my jacket. I got Flax a treat for his Christmas morning. This afternoon I walked in and didn't see Flax or Boney. As soon as I turned around, Boney was right there by me. He followed me as I went to look for Flax. He was lounging in the grass in the backyard. It was another slightly warmer afternoon, which is perfect for him! I pet him for a minute, until he got up and wandered back to his bed. I got Flax another snack before I left. This evening the boys were snuggled on Flax's bed again. They both sat there, until I began to get their dinner ready. Then, Boney hopped up and came over. He wanted to eat Flax's food again. Silly kitty. When I took the bowl away, then he realized he had some canned kitty food waiting for him. The boys both worked on their dinners.

Diesel & Odin

This morning the boys heard me opening the gate and they peeked outside their house. Once they saw me, they both came strolling over to see me. We headed to their house right away to get them their breakfast. They quickly finished off their food. Then, it was time for presents! The stood and excitedly watched me open their bones for them. I would even feel someone try to grab onto an end as I was opening it. Haha! We took them outside, so they had room to chew on them. I had them sit, then gave them each a bone. Both Diesel and Odin held them for a second, then dropped them to the ground to check them out. I don't think Odin knew what to do with his at first! It was cute watching them try to figure it out. I made sure their water wasn't frozen, and that they had enough for the day. This evening the boys met me at the gate. The fence got me a couple times, because I dropped one end of the chain and couldn't see it. Oops! Haha. They walked with me to their house for dinner time. I couldn't see if they had finished their bones or not, since it was too dark already. We headed in and they waited for their food. They are such good boys!

Oreo & Stuffs

Today I came a bit earlier to visit the boys. Oreo was standing in the bedroom doorway, and quickly came running to the kitchen to join me. He waited for his yummy food, and began to eat. When I was tending to their other things, I then saw Stuffy was sitting in the bedroom doorway. I said hi to him, then joined Mr. Oreo in the living room. He came over, and laid by me for a bit. Later, Stuffy joined us! That's the first time this week he came out to visit me. He walked over, stretching along the way. He let me pet him a couple times, then he went to relax, just out of reach. I got the laser toy out to see if he would play. He sure did! He chased it around almost the same as Oreo does. The boys had fun going after that for awhile. Oreo eventually got bored and went to snack. When he returned, he sat to look out the window awhile.

Shadow

This morning Shadow got up and met me in the kitchen. He rubbed up against my legs, while I got him some more food. He hopped up in the pantry again, as I got out his little treats. He wasn't too interested in eating, so he followed me around the house. When I finished cleaning his box, we went to sit in the living room. He wanted to snuggle! He curled right up in my lap and started to purr away. He sat there for quite awhile. He eventually moved to the back of the couch to relax. I got out another can of food, since he seemed bored with this one. He went right for it and chowed down. This evening Shadow came in and visited me in the kitchen. I could feel his nose on my pant legs, so I made sure not to stand in one spot too long! I got his dinner for him, but he decided to wait and help me get his snacks from the pantry. When we went to the living room, he sat on my lap for awhile. He hopped up on the couch behind my head and checked out my hair. Eventually, he wandered off to go eat his dinner.

Taz & Clyde

This morning I saw a black kitty outside the front of the house. It took off as I pulled up. That's good, because I'm sure the boys would want to check it out if they saw him! The boys greeted me at the door. We went to get their leashes and potty bags. Then, we headed outside. It was warmer out this morning than it has been. We got a nice long walk in. It sure was quite out this Christmas morning! I let the boys out in the back for a minute, before they came in to eat their breakfast. This afternoon it had warmed up a bit. I let the boys outside right away, while I picked out a snack for them. They both took their snacks out to the grass to chew on them. They picked out spots where the sun was shining, nice and warm. They spent awhile outside to enjoy the nice day. This evening the boys greeted me, then we went to the garage to get their stuff. We got a nice walk in this evening. When we returned, they worked on their dinners.

Gracie, Molly, Emma & the kitties

This morning I walked in and saw Henry and Smudge sitting on top of furniture in the living room, looking mischievous. Haha! I let miss Emma out and Molly joined her outside. The girls spent some time out there, while I got their breakfast ready to go. As I was walking around, I spotted Micah sitting in the hallway. He was being a bit shy and took off to another room if I was looking too long. I got all the ladies a big cookie to go along with their Christmas morning meal. Gracie went outside for awhile after the other two came in. It is starting to warm up each day, but I think Gracie still likes the warm house better. This afternoon the girls must have been napping. It took them a minute to come out and see me. They went outside to do their thing. Smudge and Henry sat on the table for a bit of attention. I was watching the girls out the window. They are liking the warmer weather. They were having a blast outside! Henry didn't like that I had ignored him for a moment, so he got my attention by using my leg as a scratching post. Ouch! Haha. Gracie went out for her turn later. She went right out into the grass, since it isn't crunchy anymore. She came back in after awhile. This evening Molly and Emma went outside when I arrived. Henry helped me scoop out all the litter boxes. He and Smudge wandered around in the kitchen as I got the pup's dinner ready. The girls came in to eat, while Gracie took her turn outside. I saw Charlie again tonight. (I have accidentally been calling him Sam lol.) He was inspecting the bathroom after I cleaned the litter box in there. I put all the girls to bed, and got them each their snacks. Gracie is still scared around me off leash, but she has gotten to the point where she will now take a treat from me! (She wouldn't the first couple days.) We're making progress, slowly but surely, each day.
