Shadow & Lucy

This morning I saw Lucy as soon as I opened the door. I think she was waiting for me! Haha. I went to the kitchen to get their food ready. Shadow came in and was rubbing his face on my leg while I did that. The kitties were both in the living room waiting for me when I finished with their box. They were both in a playful mood today! Shadow chased one end of the rope around, while I kept Lucy busy with the other. Then, I had them intrigued for awhile as I scratched the inside of the kitty tunnel. Shadow kept peeking through it at me. They made me laugh when they each had their little faces peeking in! Lucy got really crazy with the rope at one point and was jumping all over the place. She, of course, had to run off casually like nothing happened. She then went to look out the front door, and Shadow made his way to his window.

Chupie

Today as I pulled up, I saw a little furry black kitty sitting on the patio. It looked frightened and ready to take off at any moment, so I slowly walked up there. The kitty kept it's distance, so I let it be and headed inside. I didn't see Chupie today as I passed through, but I made sure her box was clean and she had plenty of food and water. I'm sure I'll catch a glimpse in the next few days. I was a little confused at first because I didn't see the two bowls for the outside kitties anywhere. I went back out to take another look and spotted one up against the neighbor's fence. I also saw the second bowl, a chair and a table! I'm assuming they were yours and got blown over there in the storm yesterday. I brought everything back and got the kitties some food as well. My little friend got spooked and ran off when I brought the chair back. Maybe it'll warm up to me later!

Daisy & Figaro

This morning I got in and started to get Daisy's food ready. She was sitting up in the window sill today, looking outside. She waited until I delivered her yummy snack, then she came down to eat. I got everything taken care of outside and called for Figaro. She didn't show up again today while I was there. I waited and continued to call, but didn't see any sign of her. Hopefully she will be back home waiting for her people to return!

Eddie & Butler

This morning the boys were happy to get outside. Eddie barely let me open Butler's crate, he was so excited! The boys both ran out to do their business, while I got their breakfast ready. Eddie heard that and came right in. Butler took his time. He nibbled just a little, but wasn't too hungry this morning. They ran back out later to play some more. This afternoon the boys spent plenty of time lounging on the patio. They wrestled around in the grass and patrolled the fence as well. Later, they came in to cool off. Butler plopped down by the front door and Eddie laid in the dining room.

Scout

This morning I opened the door to the house and stood outside and called for Scout. He must have been sleeping. It took a minute, but then he appeared at the door. He was being a little shy and wouldn't come out any further than that. So, I had to bribe him a little. :) I went and got one of his treats and tossed him a piece. He went and got that, then came over to check me out. He sniffed at me a bit, then accepted another piece of his treat. He followed me inside and took his pill for me like a good boy. After that we went back outside. I could tell that he was becoming more comfortable. I asked where his ball was and we went to get it. He didn't seem to interested in playing with that. I was trying to get him all excited so he would want to. Then, he got all crazy! I was stomping my feet and being silly and that got him running, and jumping and flailing his legs around! He made me laugh. We did that several more times and he seemed to be having fun. He just didn't feel like playing with any of his toys today, but that's ok too.
