Oreo & Stuffs

Today both Oreo and Stuffs started making their way down the stairs when I came in. Oreo followed me into the kitchen and rolled around at my feet while I got their food ready. I went to clean their box next. When I came back, Stuffs was busy eating. I sat in the living room and Oreo came running from the entryway. He must have been checking out my shoes! Stuffs wandered in next and they both sat for a few chin scratches. They weren't as interested in me today. I guess mom and dad haven't been gone long enough yet! Stuffs went and sat on the tv stand and just watched us. I tried to get Oreo to play with his mouse toy, but he just sat there. "I am not amused." Haha! I spritzed a ball with the catnip spray and tossed it to him. He licked at that, then went to get a bite to eat. When he came back I think the catnip had taken effect! He started chasing the toy and sometimes was staring in the complete opposite direction. He kept losing track of it! Plus I think the reflection in the window was throwing him off. Hehe.

Titus & Angel

This morning I came in and put the collars back on the pooches. I let them outside right away while I got their breakfast ready. They came back in and nibbled on their food here and there. Miss Angel curled up on her bed for a little bit. It was cloudy out this morning, so it was a bit cooler than it has been. Later this afternoon a thunderstorm rolled through, so I went and put them inside. This evening was nice and cool out. I let them out right away while I got their dinner ready. They both came in and finished off their bowls, then back outside it was. Titus had fun racing circles around the yard a bit. Angel just laid on the patio and watched him. I asked her where her toy was, then she jumped up and went to get it for me. Titus bounced along with her. She gave her pumpkin a good shake, then gave it to me to throw for her. She got tired of playing after awhile and came to sit for some scratches. Titus had fun running around and got his paws nice and dirty. When it was time, we headed inside for bed and got their collars off.

Rusty, Ruby & the gang

This morning the kiddos were ready to head outside. Ruby went racing out ghe door and leapt off the edge of the porch like a bunny rabbit! She raced around thd yard for a minute like a crazy girl. Rusty was following me around, carrying his ball and shaking his heiny. After I finished filling the bucket, I went in and Ruby was already waiting by her dishes for her breakfast. The pups ate while I took care of Salem and the turtles. Rusty knew when I was done and went to quickly find where he had last left his ball! We got a nice game of fetch in. Miss Ruby hung out by me for a few back scratches. This afternoon was pretty comfortable outside compared to the last few days. I let Ruby out and the three of us headed outside. Rusty made sure not to forget his ball. While we were out there, we heard a few rumbles of thunder. That sent Ruby racing for the house! Rusty stayed outside with me and played a little fetch since it hadn't started to rain just yet. When we started to feel the big drops, we headed inside by Ruby. Rusty went and crawled under the bed, and Ruby sat next to it. I saw Salem sitting out on the other bed this afternoon too.

Dillon, Ty & Boo

This morning Boo was right at the door waiting for me again. The boys were awake and ready to go out. Mr. Boo sat and watched my every move, meowing every time I looked his way. I made sure to give him his food next, and got the boy's breakfast ready too. I walked in on Boo going potty, so I let him have his privacy and went to feed the fish instead. I cleaned up Boo's box and he hopped up in there again while I was doing so. I went outside to visit with the boys awhile. They both sniffed at me for a little bit, then went on exploring. They had some dirty little tootsies from the wet grass. So when it was time to go in, I took them one by one and we cleaned them off in the sink. They weren't too thrilled about that, but it had to be done. This evening Boo was already rolling around at my feet when I walked in. He zoomed around, following me everywhere. The pups were excited to see me and we headed outside. While they were out playing, I made sure to feed the hungry kitty! Boo sat and hung off the edge of the table and pawed at me. He nearly fell off! I cleaned out his box, fed the fish and got dinner ready for the boys. I gave Boo a little attention, then went out to see what Dillon and Ty were up to. It had rained out, so the plant got its fill of water for today. It still isn't looking too hot... The boys came racing over to say hi, then went back to their playing. They raced around the yard and must have seen something under the shed. They zoomed under there and were messing around for awhile. They got to be a couple of pretty muddy boys! Needless to say, they got a repeat of this morning. Then, I cleaned off their eyes before bed.

Taz & Clyde

This morning the boys didn't even bark while I unlocked the door. They knew it was just me! They went outside quick while I filled their food and water dishes. It was cloudy out this morning, so it was still humid but slightly cooler than some of our other mornings. After they finished eating, we got ready for our walk. We went for our usual walk down to the pond. On our way back, Clyde got excited to see another dog headed our way. Later, Taz spotted his kitties and kept looking back at them as we headed home. This afternoon a storm had rolled in and it was raining out. It was nice and cool and not raining too hard just yet, so I got the boys their treats and we headed outside. Taz just laid down with his bone and didn't want to eat it. A boom of thunder, and Clyde snuggled up close to me. I wiped off his paws and sent him into the house. Taz came in and finally decided to eat his rawhide. Not sure if he was just nervous about the rain or what! This evening, since the boys already ate, we got on our way. We took our usual route down to the pond. Then, we wandered about the neighborhood and got an extra long walk in for the evening.

Griffin & Macy

This morning Griffin and Macy were a couple of sleepy heads! They finally got up and headed outside once I opened the door. I let them to potty quick, then we came in and got ready for a walk. They were excited for that! We took a nice long walk around the neighborhood. They spotted a kitty along the way. By the time we got to pass where it was sitting, they had already lost interest. The kitty was smart to squat down and not move much though! We got back and stayed inside a few mintues so they could eat and drink a bit. It was cooler this afternoon since some storms were headed our way. We spent as much of the visit outside as we could. Macy and Griffin said hi to the neighbor dogs through the fence. Griff brought me his football a couple times, but was more interested in exploring around the yard with Macy. We went in for a few minutes so Griffin could get some food and water. Then, he went into his house for me like a good boy. They both have been so good! This evening it had stopped raining long enough for our visit. Griffin went bouncing out the door and brought me his football for a few throws. He would wander off to go smell something occasionally, then would remember we were playing! Miss Macy came to sit by me for some attention. She's such a sweet girl. She eventually wandered off to smell stuff. At one point, I think she was digging for earthworms! It was nice and cool out, so we played outside almost the whole time. We did come in so Griffin could eat. He was busy eating dinner, so Macy sat with me for some more pets. One last potty break, then we headed in for bed. Griffin tried to bring his football to bed with him!
