Zeus, Baxter & Zelda

The boys met me at the door this morning. I let them go potty quick and they were ready to come back inside to say hi. They helped me look around for Zelda, but we didn't have any luck. Hopefully she will come out for supper tonight. I gave Baxter a good back scratch and he loved it up! He crawled up into my lap and helped me get his itchies! I gave Zeus a good rub too and got his ears for him. He let out little groans when I did that and leaned into my hand! Tonight all three greeted me at the door. I put Zelda out into the garage for awhile so she could eat. The boys stayed outside for a bit. I went out with them and heard some people outside that they started barking at. There must be another Baxter in the neighborhood! I heard someone calling for a Baxter. They came back in and ate a little bit while I was there. Baxter sat by me while I scratched his back for him. I opened the door to the garage and Zelda was patiently waiting to come back inside, but wouldn't with the dogs right there. I picked her up and brought her in, while she purred away!

Moose, Timber, Mick & Taki

It took a minute for Timber and Mick to realize I was there this morning, but then they came running. Taki and I let the dogs outside right away while I got their breakfast ready. They all were staring inside the doorway at me! Guess they knew what time it was. Taki followed me into the bedroom to feed the dogs and jumped up on the bed with Mick. I went upstairs to feed Taki while Mick and Moose came along to see what I was up to. Someone had brought a tube of toothpaste into the living room, but not sure who. I just put it on the counter along with the sock Moose found and was playing with. Mick didn't want me to leave this morning and tried coming with me! This afternoon I came in to see Timber and Mick snuggled up on the couch in Moose's room. The sun came out for my visit, so they stayed out a little longer. They all got their treats for going potty when they came back inside. Mick was very brave and snuck into Moose's cage to steal his little squirrel! He chased Mick around for awhile, but then gave up. Later I saw Mick eating Moose's food, so I closed the door. Not even a second later I saw him open the door with his paw just far enough to sneak in! Tonight Mick greeted me in the laundry room with the squirrel in his mouth. After they all came back inside they got their treats. Moose got ahold of the squirrel and teased Timber with it. She even tried to take it away from him, but she wasn't going to win that one. Mick sat in the chair with me for awhile and Taki sat above me. Taki was going a little crazy tonight! I looked over and he was carrying around a little hair tie and playing with it. He dropped it behind the couch, so then started running around and jumping up on furniture. He would reach down and swat at the dogs as they passed by! Taki came up with me to clean the litter box, and had to use it in the middle of me cleaning it! I gave them all their rawhide chews before I left and they got working on them right away. Oh! Also, I'm sure you probably know already, but just in case... I'm pretty sure Timber has an ear infection.

Can I come with you?

Hey, who's car is that?

Dakota & Benny

When I got there tonight I let them both outside while I read your note. When they came back in I got Kota's food ready and she was woo-ing at me to hurry up! She ate a good amount of it right away. Hungry girl I guess! Benny must have taken all his toys outside again, so I just gave him a good back scratch. I'll have to look for a couple in the morning. He leaned back against me so I could get his tummy too. Kota came and sat on the other side of me after she was done eating to get pet too. They sure had lots of energy tonight! Benny started chasing around the living room in circles and would creep around the corner of the couch to sneak up on Kota. Too bad for him, she was doing the exact same thing!
Treat? Yes please!!

Webster

I went to go see Webster this afternoon. When I got inside, he was a little scared. I think he wasn't sure if it was ok for me to be there since mom and dad weren't around. He cautiously approached me, so I tried to give him a treat to help him calm down. He didn't take it from me, but ate it right away after I set it down. So then I asked him if he wanted to go outside. He perked up then! I took him out to his fenced area, but then he ran right back inside. I decided to try taking him out in the backyard instead and threw his ball for him. He started jumping around and getting excited, then completely forgot that he was nervous! When he didn't retrieve the ball anymore we went back inside. I sat at the table and he sat right on my feet. I gave him a good rub down and got some of his itchy spots for him! If I stopped he would look up at me with the sad puppy dog eyes and lay his head on my lap. He was pretty much plastered to my leg the rest of the time I was there! I think he'll be a lot happier to see me tomorrow!

Remy & Frankie

Remy was sitting in the living room when I came in today. He was a little more shy today, but very curious! He really wanted to come close to me, but just couldn't do it. He'd swing by, then dodge behind the couch or chair and peek out at me. I went into the kitchen to get their food ready and all their dishes were knocked down on the floor. After I filled their bowls I cleaned out the litter pan so that they could go eat if they were nervous around me. When I came back out, neither one was to be seen! I tried looking around for them, but they must have some good hiding spots! Maybe tomorrow they will come out a little more.

Raven, Joe Friday, Murdock & Bunny

Today I got in with no trouble! Raven was lounging on top of the chair by the window. I went upstairs and saw Joe Friday and Bunny right away. Friday was sleeping where Raven was yesterday and Bunny looked as if she never moved! Someone had an upset tummy again today. I got that cleaned up after I did the litter pans and filled their bowls. I looked over the railing once and saw Murdock standing under one of the side tables. I went back down after I was finished to find him. I saw there was a bump in the sheet that was covering the back of the couch, so I lifted it up and there he was! I let him smell me since he looked a little scared. In no time he was licking my hand and started rubbing his head against my fingers! I went back into the living room, sat on the floor and called him out from behind the couch. He came out and started rolling around all over the floor. He would stop and then reach for my hand or scootch closer so I could pet him. Friday came down to get some lovin' too!
