Daisy

Today Miss Daisy was snuggled up in her bed, taking a nap when I came to visit. It was a good day for it too, since it was a cool and drizzly day outside. I checked her box while she watched me. Then, I got her some fresh water, topped off her kibble and got her a new can of yummy food. I tried to get her to play a little with her feather toy, but she wasn't up for that. She hopped down and wanted to eat instead. While she worked on that, I went to feed the fishies. I set a few of Daisy's favorite treats on the counter near her bed for later, when she would return.

Mac

This afternoon was cool and drizzly out, which was perfect weather for Mac! I headed back to see him, since he didn't realize I was there right away. We got his toy out and started playing fetch immediately. Mac loved the weather and we were able to have a nice long game without him getting too hot. He played tug with me several times, not wanting to give me his rope. I tried faking him out and throwing the toy in the opposite direction on him sometimes. He caught on pretty fast, and learned not to take his eyes off it! His little puppy friend next door came outside while we were playing. It ran along the fence with Mac anytime he was nearby. The little pup barked wanting to play again. So cute! Maybe when he gets bigger they can learn to toss toys across the fence to each other! Haha! Mac and I played fetch the whole time today. I got him some fresh water and food, just in time for him to take a rest. He laid by the gate and rolled around in the grass for a bit as I was leaving.

Buddy, Dakota & Shelly

This morning everyone was awake and happy to see me! They were all jumping around while I got Dakota's leash on. They did good and no one had any accidents overnight. I took them all out for a quick potty break. Then, we headed back inside for breakfast. Shelly and Dakota were sure excited for their food! Once all the bowls were licked clean, we went back outside. Dakota and I walked laps around the yard, going here and there for him to sniff at things. It was cooler and misting out this morning. Buddy found his stick again and played with that. Shelly came over for her face and heiny scratches. Later, Buddy decided to be all goofy and pounced in the sand! He hopped down on his front legs, as if asking me to come play too. Since the sand was sticking to him, I tried to get everyone on the patio for a bit. I was hoping maybe some of the wet and dirt might wear off before it was time to head inside. Everyone got a couple treats before I left.
