Sophie & Roxy

It was a beautiful Easter day for the girls today! They knew it was me that pulled up, and barked all the way to the back door. They met me there, dancing excitedly. They came in today and got their snuggle time in. They made me laugh so hard today! They were being extra silly and full of kisses. Sophie came bouncing over and hopped up in my lap, then was rolling and kicking and moving all over the place! Meanwhile, Roxy was pawing at my arm and rubbing her face on me, then stealing kisses when Sophie had me pinned. Sophie took a break to eat her dinner. Roxy enjoyed my attention and belly rubs. When Sophie was done, she came running over and plopped herself in my lap again. Then she rolled around in the pillows, being silly again. We sure had fun today! Before I left, I got them each a yummy treat.

Pokey

Pokey came running into the room when I walked in the door, and announced my arrival! He was acting a little shy at first, crouching to the ground as I walked up to him. He let me pet him and gave my hand a little lick. I headed to the back door so we could go outside. As I opened it, he zoomed out ahead of me. I sat on the patio, then Pokey came rushing over to me. He rolled over next to me for some tummy scratches. He thoroughly enjoyed that for awhile. Some little girls and a neighbor dog came outside, so Pokey hopped up and ran over to the fence to say hi. He and the other dog bounced around for a couple minutes, before wandering off to go explore. There were plenty of people and dogs out today since it was so nice out! When it was time, we headed in and I made sure he had some fresh water. Later this afternoon, Pokey ran in to meet me again. He was much more at ease this time. He trotted along behind me to the door and outside. Pokey spent almost the whole time right next to me, getting pet. If I stopped, he'd either turn and nudge my hand with his nose, or would crawl into my lap! He got plenty of attention time in before he decided to take a stroll around the yard. The sun was very warm, so I took his bowl in and got him some cool water for outside. He took a long drink, then came over for more back scratches.

Sophie & Roxy

This afternoon the girls were all snuggled up in their cozy house. They came crawling out when I opened the door. It was stormy this morning, but the day turned out to be gorgeous! Since it was so nice out, we spent our visit outside. I brought their dinner out to them and they nibbled here and there. I got lots of kisses! Roxy was happy to get all the attention she could. Sophie would run over when she'd see Roxy having fun, and would plop herself in my lap! I got the girls a few treats and they laid in the grass in the sunlight to enjoy them. The girls spent some time lounging and watching all the neighbors outside. Before it was time to go I got them a couple more treats and fed the fishies.

Hope & Tag

Today I came in and let Hope outside right away. Tag followed us, but I kept him inside. Hope was bouncing around and happy to say hi. Eventually she wandered into the grass to do her business. Tag was at the door, crying to come out. Hope and I were about to head in so I could clean her bed. As soon as I cracked open the door, Tag pushed his way outside, determined to go out! I let him and Hope play while I cleaned up. It was pretty cold and windy out, so when I finished, Hope came inside for a little bit to play. We played tug and fetch with her little purple squeaky toy. She had fun for awhile, then wanted to go back out to play with Tag. They both did a little exploring. Hope found a bone that she carried around. Then, she found a wood plank that was fun too! Later I tried to coax Tag back inside with some treats. He happily came up and took a couple treats from my hand, then would back away. I tried to leave the door open and tossed a treat inside, but he would stop just at the door. He wanted to though! Hope kept running up to him and would jump up at him. So, I finally got Hope tucked back in and gave her her snack. I went back out with Tag, then after one try he ran right inside. Good boy!

Daisy

This morning miss Daisy was snuggled up on her towel on top of the washer and dryer. She sat and watched as I cleaned out her box. There were no messes today, so my feeding idea worked. After I topped off her dry food and gave her fresh water, I went to get her some canned food. I gave her just a tiny bit to start with again. She was already at the gate, waiting for me to deliver her deliciousness. She got working on that right away. While she was busy, I fed the fish their food. When I came back, Daisy had finished up and was waiting for more. I made her wait a little while so the food would settle. Before I left I gave her the rest of her dinner.

Daisy

Today Daisy was sitting in her usual spot on the washer and dryer. She gave me a meow hello when I came in. I noticed she'd had an upset tummy again while I was gone. Daisy was in a talkative mood again today. She meowed and rubbed up against the gate, walking back and forth from one side to the other. She knew it was time to eat! After I cleaned out her box, I got her some food and water. I gave Daisy just a tiny bit of canned food to work on, in hopes that she wouldn't eat so fast and it would give the food time to settle. While she worked on eating, I cleaned up. I laid out some clean towels for her to sit on. Next, I went to do my fish feeding rounds. Daisy had finished eating and made her way up to one of the towels I had set out. She curled up and started cleaning her face. Just before I left, I filled her bowl with the remainder of her food.

Mac

Today was much cooler outside, and a bit rainy. I timed my visit just right, after the rain took a little break. Mac was cozy and dry in his bed when I got there. He was full of energy today, bouncing all over the place! He was certainly ready for play time. I got his rope toy out and we started our game. Mac sure loves the cooler weather! It lets him keep playing much longer. He took a few drinks breaks, but was always right back for more. Mac enjoyed a cool drink from the spigot when I was refreshing his water buckets. He crawled between my legs while I waited for the water to fill, getting me to throw a few more times for him. Mac had worked up an appetite and began chowing down as soon as I filled his bowl. I got him his treats and headed out. He followed me to the gate to say good-bye, and I told him his family would be home soon!

Daisy

Today Daisy was curled up on the other counter when I came in. I noticed she had had some accidents. Something must not have sat right in her tummy yesterday. I got her some fresh food and water. I fed the fishies next. Then, I cleaned her box and got to work on the other spots. Daisy was busy snacking away while I cleaned. Hopefully she feels better today!

Mac

Today I met Mac by his house. He jumped to his feet and looked for his ball. He watched to make sure I got his rope out for him. Each day has been getting just a little cooler. The sun was bright and warm for us today, and the temperature was around 50 when I came. Mac had a blast, as we played his favorite game the whole time! His little puppy friend was out today, bouncing by the fence. Some people were out walking their dog by the pond, and it even went for a swim! Mac stopped to watch the dog, but only for a second or two. He was too focused on our game! Mac only stopped to rest when it was almost time to go. So, while he rested, I changed his water. He got to work on his food as soon as it hit his bowl. I got him a couple treats, then it was time to head out. Mac followed me today, and made sure to toss his ball over the fence for one last throw!

Daisy

Today Daisy was curled up on top of the washer and dryer again. She was very talkative today! She meowed at me a few times while I cleaned out her box. I got her some water and topped off her food. She hopped down and waited by the gate, meowing some more as I opened her food can. She got very excited once she saw the bowl coming her way. Daisy nibbled on her food until it was pretty much licked clean. She sat and talked to me for a minute before she hopped back up to her perch to take a nap.

Mac

Today Mac was already waiting for me, standing up against the gate. He was excitedly hanging onto a green tennis ball! I'm not sure where he got that one from... someone must have given it to him, or he had it stashed away somewhere. When I came in, he was bouncing around, pushing me with his tennis ball as I walked. "C'mon let's play!" I got out his rope instead, since that is much easier to grab. He immediately dropped the ball and had his game face on, ready to dash about the yard. It was a bit cooler out today with a steady wind, but still pretty warm. Mac and I were able to play fetch for a long time. The wind was playing tricks on him today! Several times he started to run, then stopped and came back, thinking I still had his toy. It wasn't until he heard the thud behind him, when he finally knew where to run! Mac took a couple drink breaks, but didn't get quite as tired out as yesterday. He happily got a drink of fresh water from the spigot as I changed out his buckets. I got him some food and a couple treats to work on as I left for the day.

Daisy

Daisy was sitting on top of the washer and dryer today when I arrived. I noticed she had found the treats I left for her yesterday. She made her way down to her bed and sat for a few minutes while I cleaned her box and got her some fresh water. I took her bowl out to wash it and get her a new flavor of food. Daisy was sitting at her dish station, patiently waiting for my return. I said hi to her, then let her get to work on her food. After she had snacked a bit, I tried the kitty toy again. She still wasn't quite in the mood for that yet. Daisy ignored me and hopped up by her bed. Now, it was bath time! She sat in the sunlight and cleaned her paws and face.

Mac

Today Mac came bouncing around the corner as I was walking up. He said hi, then ran right for the bin to sit and wait for his toy. It was still nice and soggy from yesterday! Haha! We got right to work. He was racing back and forth across the yard, sliding around to catch his rope. It was really nice out again today. It wasn't long before Mac was starting to slow down, getting tired from playing. He took a couple water breaks and would slowly walk over with his toy, not wanting to quit just yet! Mac's little puppy friend was out for a little bit today, watching and saying hi. Mac remembered my fakeouts yesterday, and didn't fall for it once today! He did see a shadow a couple times from the rope flying above, and had to look back at me to make sure I didn't still have it. While he laid down to take a little rest, I got him some fresh water. He started working on his dinner when I fed him, and happily took a couple treats to snack on.

Daisy

Today Miss Daisy was snuggled up in her bed, taking a nap when I came to visit. It was a good day for it too, since it was a cool and drizzly day outside. I checked her box while she watched me. Then, I got her some fresh water, topped off her kibble and got her a new can of yummy food. I tried to get her to play a little with her feather toy, but she wasn't up for that. She hopped down and wanted to eat instead. While she worked on that, I went to feed the fishies. I set a few of Daisy's favorite treats on the counter near her bed for later, when she would return.

Mac

This afternoon was cool and drizzly out, which was perfect weather for Mac! I headed back to see him, since he didn't realize I was there right away. We got his toy out and started playing fetch immediately. Mac loved the weather and we were able to have a nice long game without him getting too hot. He played tug with me several times, not wanting to give me his rope. I tried faking him out and throwing the toy in the opposite direction on him sometimes. He caught on pretty fast, and learned not to take his eyes off it! His little puppy friend next door came outside while we were playing. It ran along the fence with Mac anytime he was nearby. The little pup barked wanting to play again. So cute! Maybe when he gets bigger they can learn to toss toys across the fence to each other! Haha! Mac and I played fetch the whole time today. I got him some fresh water and food, just in time for him to take a rest. He laid by the gate and rolled around in the grass for a bit as I was leaving.

Buddy, Dakota & Shelly

This morning everyone was awake and happy to see me! They were all jumping around while I got Dakota's leash on. They did good and no one had any accidents overnight. I took them all out for a quick potty break. Then, we headed back inside for breakfast. Shelly and Dakota were sure excited for their food! Once all the bowls were licked clean, we went back outside. Dakota and I walked laps around the yard, going here and there for him to sniff at things. It was cooler and misting out this morning. Buddy found his stick again and played with that. Shelly came over for her face and heiny scratches. Later, Buddy decided to be all goofy and pounced in the sand! He hopped down on his front legs, as if asking me to come play too. Since the sand was sticking to him, I tried to get everyone on the patio for a bit. I was hoping maybe some of the wet and dirt might wear off before it was time to head inside. Everyone got a couple treats before I left.

Buddy, Dakota & Shelly

The pups were all dancing at the gate this morning when I came in. I got Dakota all leashed up, then we headed outside. Shelly and Buddy went roaming around. It was super nice out already this morning. I let Dakota lead me around the yard for awhile. Then, he just kept taking me to the door, wanting his treats! So instead, I decided to lead him around. We walked all over the place, while the other two explored. When we finally did go in, they each got a couple treats. I pet them all for a bit, and found Shelly's spot. She did the husky scratchy heiny dance that mine does! When I'd stop, she'd go bounce around, then come right back for more. Of course, the boys wanted in on the action next. This evening I took everyone out when I arrived. A storm is making its way in, so it was very windy and getting cold. Buddy and Shelly both ran around, being silly. So, Dakota and I ran around a bit too. Once they had spent some time outside and did their business, we headed in. I cleaned up one little boo boo. Buddy kept trying to walk in front of me while I was cleaning! Goofy boy. Since we had some time left, we headed back out again. Shelly decided she wanted to stay in, and curled up on her blankly. The boys and I wandered around and explored the yard. Buddy found a stick that he was having a blast with! He was hopping around like a crazy man and then would pounce back on the stick. He made me laugh. Back inside, I gave the pooches one more treat and said goodnight.

Mac

Today Mac came running up to the gate to say hi. Then, he went and grabbed his ball for me. I got out his rope toy and we got to our game of fetch right away. It was nice and warm out again for us. Today, Mac played a little more tug of war in between throws. I accidentally tossed his rope over the fence one time. Mac seemed pretty concerned when it went over that he couldn't get it! He waited for me while I went to save it. We played for quite awhile before he got pooped out. The little neighbor puppy was watching us and cried to join in! Mac watched me fill up his water buckets, and I splashed a little water on him to cool him off a bit. He was ready to play again after that! When it was time, I got him his food and gave him a couple snacks.

Mac

Today Mac didn't hear me coming. I was already inside before he came around the corner. Then, he seemed surprised to see me! "Oh, you're here!" And he went immediately searching for his ball. I had his rope toy out before he found it. It was sunny, warm and in the 80's today. We got a good game of fetch going. We took a few more breaks in between throws today since it was so warm out. Mac didn't mind at all, and happily curled up in the shade with his toy. Later, he helped me refresh the water in his buckets. A few last throws, then it was time for his dinner. He got a treat before I left and then he went to go eat some more.

Mac

Mac met me at the gate today when I arrived. He had his ball ready to go! I went over and got out his rope toy. He immediately dropped the ball, and was excited for the new toy! I tossed that for him for awhile. He so kindly decided to cool off the rope each time he got a drink, by dunking it in his bowl. Silly guy! It was such a nice day out for him to play. He raced back and forth for his toy, always bringing it back for another toss. He started to get tired, and took a rest in the shade of the porch. I let him rest until he got his second wind and came back for more. I let him rest a bit while I filled up his water buckets. He was happy to get a drink of the fresh, cool water from the spigot. Before I left he got his dinner. I distracted him by tossing a treat as I snuck out. After he finished, he stood at the gate to watch as I left.

Hope & Tag

Hope is sure getting big! I let her out as soon as I got there. She had messed in her crate, so I got to cleaning that up while she played outside. Once I finished, she came bouncing over to see me. It was so nice out today! Hope grabbed her little kong toy and kept trying to hop into my lap to show me. Next, she found a stick to play with. Tag was happy just lounging in the grass, soaking up the warm sunshine. I found a little yellow bone in the grass that Hope and I played some fetch with. I had to be careful not to throw it too far, or she'd forget what she was chasing after! She carried her toy back, curled up next to me, and had some fun chomping on the bone for awhile. Hope was being silly, sometimes crawling or trying to jump over my legs. She didn't quite make it all the way across each time. Tag got excited when he saw the neighbor dogs out a few houses over. He barked a hello to them, and Hope went running over to investigate. While we sat outside, I got them each a couple treats. When it was time, Hope came in and got her treat for kenneling up.

Buckley, Chloe & Bootsie

Today Chloe and Buck were both lounging when I came to let them out. They were full of spunk today! Bootsie was already at the door, waiting to say hi. Chloe ran a lap around the yard, then came barreling back towards me for attention. Buck and Bootsie were already getting their scratches. It was cool out this morning, but the sun was warm. Bootsie was rolling around sunbathing. A big white dog was roaming the neighborhood, so Chloe and Buck were often racing to the fence nearby. One time, Buck picked up a toy on his way back, tossing it around! Then he picked up the next nearest toy and did the same with that one. Silly boy! Later, he and Chloe were on the side of the house crunching on acorns. Bootsie sat with me and watched those goofy dogs. While we sat, I found a long, dried up piece of grass for Bootsie to play with. He sat straight up on his hind legs and swatted playfully at it. Eventually, the dogs and I headed in so they could eat a little and have a treat. I put Bootsie's bowl out for him so he could snack too. Soon, Buck was crying to go back out to play.

Sarge & Diamond

Diamond nearly busted out of her cage when I walked in, she was so excited! I let them both out and we headed straight outside. Diamond seems to be doing well in her new crate. It didn't appear to be moved. Once we finally got outside, Diamond was pretty much attached to me! She was so happy, bouncing around for attention. Sarge had wandered into the yard to do his business. Then, he came over too and they were both tackling me for attention. Soon Diamond went and did her business too, then came right back. I sat down and they weaved around my legs and hopped in my lap. Sarge got as much petting time in as Diamond would let him get! They are so funny. Soon the excitement wore down and they decided to go play. Sarge was galloping around and Diamond would go to chase after him. They sure burned some energy by running laps around and around the yard. They did some wrestling too. I let them play for a few more minutes, then we headed in. Both pups went and sat in the kitchen, staring at me for their treats! They each got a couple of the tiny ones for sitting so nicely. When they kenneled up, they got their milkbone snacks. We had good timing today with the weather. As I headed home, then the sprinkles began.

Buckley, Chloe & Bootsie

Today Buck and Chloe must have been napping when I got there. I opened the office door and they jumped up, seeming surprised to see me. We headed to the back door and Chloe immediately spotted a robin sitting in the yard. She and Buck went racing out the door! Those two went running around the yard, while Bootsie came wandering over to see me. He rolled around in the grass and was loving the warm sun shining on his fur. Buck saw Bootsie being pet, so he came and took over. Buck went and laid in the grass when he was finished, and rolled around with his toy. We played fetch with it a couple times. I found a stick to throw for Chloe, but she wouldn't bring it back! She thought it would be more fun to chew. Chloe had fun chasing after birds and saying hi to the neighbor dog today. They spent plenty of time soaking up the warm sun too. We headed in for a bit so they could eat a little and get one of their treats. We didn't stay in long since it was so nice out. Buck found a ball and came racing over for me to throw it to him. He got tired after one throw. Haha! They each got their last treat as I was leaving.

Buckley, Chloe & Bootsie

Today Buck and Chloe were very excited when I opened the door. They danced circles around me as we headed outside. Buck immediately buried his head in my lap and did his little dance while he got his heiny scratched, just like he used to. I was surprised to see Bootsie trotting around the corner shortly after we got outside. All three were rolling around and getting all full of dry grass and leaves! They decided to share with me. Every time I pet Bootsie, the static would make all the grass stick to my hand. Chloe went and laid in the sunshine, while Buck and Bootsie were eagerly trying to hog my attention. Boostie rolled around and ended up with his hind end in the air up against Buck. That made me laugh. Buck and Chloe would take off to the back of the yard occasionally. Buck would make sure to come back for attention in between. Later we headed inside so they could get some food and water. Chloe made me laugh when she sat under the table! Buck disappeared and then came flying down the stairs. He had gone to get his hedgehog toy. I gave them each a treat, then we went back outside for a bit. Everyone got plenty of pets. Before I left I gave them their other treat to work on.

ZZ, Bradford, Heighty and the gang

This morning it was very quiet. Sugar heard me though! She was first to come bounding to see me. I had to call for the others. Then they all came running too. I got them all some food to work on. Their water had some ice in it, so while they ate, I broke that up. Afterwards, everyone was wanting attention. Heighty was my little snuggle bug today, barely leaving my side. The pups each took some time to explore around the yard. Of course, when one was being pet, they all stopped everything to come running over to me! It was a bit chilly out this morning, and little ZZ was doing a shivering dance. As I was leaving, they headed back to their house, ZZ leading the way! This evening the pooches were all barking when they heard me pull up. Sugar was first to come racing around the side of the house to see me again. It didn't take long before the others came racing. They all worked on their dinner while I refilled their water bowls. Afterwards, I was surrounded again by happy puppy dogs! All three little weinies were trying to hop in my lap, each wanting all of my attention. Sugar was running around when they heard another dog in the neighborhood. When it was time to go, they all went exploring about the yard. It was a very nice evening out.

ZZ, Bradford, Heighty and the gang

This evening the pups were all barking when I pulled up. ZZ was first to greet me at the door. He was bouncing up at me to say hi. Everyone else surrounded me, except for Heighty. She kept back a ways, but curiously watched me. I went in and got their food, then spread it amongst their dishes. Heighty and ZZ were the only two that didn't get started right away. ZZ was too excited for attention, and Heighty was too nervous. Eventually they ate too. Sugar went around and cleaned up all the bowls, just in case any bits were left behind. When they all finished, it was time for more attention! Finally Heighty came up close and realized who I was. Soon she was wiggling her way in between everyone to give me little licks on my hand.
