Gracie, Molly, Emma & the kitties

This afternoon I saw Gracie was sitting at the back door. I made the mistake of letting her in through the bedroom door, instead of the dining room one, like I usually do. I think because we didn't do our routine, she got a little nervous and went right for the bed to hide. Silly lady. I got Emma to go out for awhile, but Molly wasn't gonna budge. I sat on the floor to talk to Molly a bit and see if Gracie would come out on her own. While I did that, Charlie came out from under the bed, and suddenly I was surrounded by kitties! Henry and Micah came over for some love too. I finally got Gracie to come out and see me, then we went for a short walk quick, just to build up her confidence. She, of course, instantly remembered me when I got out her leash. She was a happy girl then! This evening I let Gracie outside, while I got dinner ready for the pups. Molly and Emma ate inside and Gracie came in to eat as well. When they were done, the older gals went out for awhile. Gracie was going crazy, she was so excited to see me. It only took like 5 tries to get a picture of her, since she was jumping all over the place! Haha. Gracie and I sat outside for awhile, once the other two wanted back in. It was a very nice evening!

Rusty & Ruby

Today my little ducky friends were waiting for me! They were talking to me as soon as I got out of the car. I got them some corn to munch on, while I went in to see the pups. Rusty came from his room after I let Ruby out. We headed outside right away. It took Rusty a minute to figure out a path to take through the boards! Haha. Ruby cruised right on through. She went and did her business, then wandered around by the patio. Rusty was already rolling around in the grass and finding a spot to lounge. Ruby later joined him and laid around. It was a bit hotter out today, so Rusty wasn't feeling up for his game. When they had enough sun, both pups wandered inside. Ruby curled up on her couch and Rusty went back to his chair.

Winston

Little man Winston was ready for his walk this afternoon. I got him hooked up and we went on our way. We wandered around for awhile, until he did his business. It was a bit hotter out today, so we didn't take quite as long of a walk. We headed back inside to play awhile. As soon as the harness came off, he was jumping around all excited. He ran and got his little nylabone toy and was trying to get me to grab on and play tug. I told him that toy was too sharp for that! I did tease and make attempts to grab it, which got him just as riled up. We played a little fetch with it too. Next, he went to get his rope toy. Now that's better! We played with that awhile, until he went to get his green bone. It was a game of musical toys today! Haha.

Eddie & Butler

I let Eddie out first today, then opened Butler's door. He waited for me to apply his medicine, then went outside. Once I got out there, the boys both ran over to say hi. I got lots of kisses in return for pets! Next, they went to lounge on the patio and sunbathe for a bit. Butler jumped up when he heard a funny sound, and went out into the grass to investigate further. Not sure what that was! Later, he was being silly and rolled around on the patio chair. Eddie was in and out, getting himself a drink. When it was time, they came in and got their snacks.

Oscar

Oscar met me at the door today, and stopped me right away for some heiny scratches! When he was satisfied, we continued our way to the door. Oscar went out and plopped down in the grass to sunbathe a bit. It was a nice afternoon! I tried to get him to play, but he just got up and went to lay in the landscaping instead. Goofy boy. He was wanting to relax and be lazy today! He moved from spot to spot, until it was time to head in. He did some tricks for me, in return for pieces of his favorite snack.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning Stormy hopped down from her chair and started talking to me right away. I went out to water the plants quick and she followed me to the kitchen when I returned. I quickly picked her up to give her her medicine. I don't think she knew that was coming! Haha. She was sore at me for a minute and went to wait for me in the living room instead. She gave me a big meow and led the way when I had their food ready. Sadi was sitting in there, getting a drink. I let her nibble a bit, while I scooped their box and refilled their other dishes. We headed to the living room next. Sadi enjoyed her brush time. I tried to get Stormy to play, but she was unamused. Or at least, she pretended to be! She sat and groomed herself. Later, she hopped up on the kid's table and was loving on the box up there. She did make a dash for the kitty toy once, but then remembered she wasn't interested and ran off. This evening, Stormy was snoozing on her chair on the patio. Sadi was in the food room, busy grooming herself. I got her nosey cleaned up and she got her evening medicine. I tucked her in her bed when we finished.

Chloe

This morning Chloe came and welcomed me. She stood against me for some heiny scratches, before she went outside. I got her breakfast and brought it outside for her. She sat in front of me, getting her lovins. She was so excited for that, she could barely sit still! Occasionally, she would run off to go grab a bite to eat. Then, more pets! I checked the weather for today, and it was supposed to be a bit warmer again. Since she was already panting and wanting to go back in, I let her spend the afternoon inside the cool house. This evening miss Chloe was excited to see me. She went outside while I got her dinner. I brought it out with me so she could eat on the patio. It was such a nice evening! She messed around with me for awhile. First, she wanted her snuggles and to give me lots of kisses. Then, she was jumping around, wanting to play. I saw her hunk of wood in the yard, so we played a little fetch with that too! She's so silly. Eventually, she wanted to go back in. She hopped on her bed and got a few belly scratches. Then, she got her bedtime cookies.
