Dakota & Benny

Kota and Benny were happy to see me again for the third day in a row! Kota was wooing at me the whole time! We went for our usual long walk today since it was just so nice out. They were both hopping along at first since they were so excited. Benny started to get pretty tired after we got about half way. I know because he was even too tired to bark at his usual houses! He did save up enough energy for the last one though, where he usually zooms along the fencline with the little dogs on the other side! When we got back I got them some cool fresh water and checked to see if you had ice cubes. My Nikita likes them for treats, so I thought I'd give them one. I think they weren't quite sure what to do, so they both dropped them on the floor and looked at them for a minute. So, instead I just put them in their water bowl so they wouldn't melt all over the floor. Then Kota started grabbing them all out! I put them back in and put some in her bowl in her kennel too. After she went in, she would stick her whole nose in the water to grab them out! Mine does that sometimes too! It's so funny. Then she finally started eating them after she fished them out.

Pheonix, Cole & Oliver

The boys were all watching me through the window while I was talking to the city guys outside. So when I finally came in they were brimming over with excitement! I let them all out right away and it was so nice out already. They lined up for their yum yums as soon as they finished doing their business. The rest of the time they spent outside, exploring and enjoying the weather! Cole had some lunch, and I think he decided it was a little too windy out for him, so he hung around just inside the door. Pheonix laid out in the grass and was smelling the wind for a long time. Oliver came running over to me for attention, and kept going inside to check on Cole.

Dakota & Benny

Kota, Benny and I decided to take a little shorter walk today. We took one of our older routes. Benny of course had to mark all the mailboxes again! haha! He's so cute strutting around with his new haircut! I think he thinks he's more brave now. He ran up toward a couple of the houses today with dogs in the back, and giving them his big bark. We went and played in the backyard for the rest of the time after Kota and Benny got a big drink in the house. Benny was chasing around with the neighbor dogs along the fence. Kota was exploring for awhile, so Benny had to see what she was up to. She was fascinated with this bush! I don't know what she thought was in there, but she sure tried to get it! Benny noticed across the street a lady was loading her dog up in the car, so he got excited. After he couldn't see the dog anymore, he noticed there was a ball sitting next to him! He picked it right up and started running around with it!

Pheonix, Cole & Oliver

The boys were happy to see me today! I think little Oliver missed me, because he was by me a lot wanting me to pet him. I see he got his surgery! I know who didn't miss me... Pheonix! No just kidding, he was following me everywhere and giving me tons of kisses! It was really nice out this morning, so we spent most of the time outside. The boys wandered around, and did their business. They were so excited for their yum yums! After awhile Pheonix just laid in the grass and just enjoyed the nice weather. Cole and Oliver were either exploring in the yard or coming to me for attention.
"Can I have my yum yum now pretty please??"

Dakota & Benny

Benny is so handsome with his new haircut! I'm sure that'll help him cool down quicker after our walks! Poor little guy gets so pooped. It was really nice out today for our walk. Kota was watching a bird that was flying from house to house with us! She really wanted to go get him. Everyone had their dogs out in their yards I think today, so Benny was super excited! After we got back Kota had some lunch and Benny waited for me to get his fresh cool water. He came over by me and rolled over to get his tummy rubbed! I think he really likes his haircut. He was pretty tired still, and went and laid on the tiles to help him cool down. I'm not sure if he's going to be able to handle the walk if it gets too much hotter out! Maybe we'll have to cut them a little shorter and spend the rest of the time playing in the backyard where he can have some water. He's such a cutie! :)

Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Thanks for the cheesecake! It was sooo good! :) Mattie was up and ready to go outside when I got there tonight. She looks really good tonight and had a bit of energy! She seemed comfortable and was getting around well. I got their meds and supper ready. They were all excited to eat! I brought a bowl over to Mattie so she wouldn't have to get up. When the little ones were done, Mattie decided to get up and have some more dry food. Buddy found a rawhide and was trying to find a place to lay down with it that the other two couldn't get at him. He didn't cough at all tonight. Mattie stood at the end of the counter and looked at me like she wanted something. I asked her "what?" a couple times and she kind of started to get playful! She danced around a little and got excited. If she could get down on her front legs with her heiny in the air, I think she would've! Later I gave her a big tummy rub. Jimmy was trying to steal my attention away! I gave them all a treat before I put them to bed.

Dakota & Benny

It was a really nice day for our walk today! As soon as we got outside, Kota and Benny both hopped into the same bush by the mailbox to go potty! haha! They did their little race at the beginning again. It was a pretty quiet day in the neighborhood. There were only a few of the normal houses that had their dogs out in the backyard as we went by. Kota got another compliment on how beautiful she was today! A guy driving by stopped and said he has a husky that looks just like her, and that she was just such a beautiful dog! There was a ball laying by the sidewalk and Kota pushed it with her nose as we walked past. I thought for sure Benny would scoop it up and make a run for it, but he must not have seen it. Kota had some pretty soft stool again day. They both were pretty tired by the time we got home.

Miss Ella & Cali

Miss Ella was at the door today. Cali didn't come running like last time, so I went looking for her. I found her in one of the bedrooms all snuggled up on the bed. Miss Ella followed me around like normal, rubbing against my legs as I did the chores. After I watered the trees and plants, I came in to see Cali and Miss Ella waiting by the back door for me. They wanted to go out on their porch! It was raining all morning, but had gotten nice out by the time I came to see them. So we sat outside again for awhile today. Cali curled up in the window sill and Miss Ella looked out the screen door in between coming to me for attention.

Kira, Bunky & Lisa Lee

Lisa Lee was sleeping on the chair underneath the kitchen table today and Bunky was in her spot on the bed. Kira came into the kitchen when I was saying hi to Lisa Lee. Kira and Lisa Lee followed me into the bedroom and hopped up on the bed while I said hi to Bunky. Lisa Lee kept trying to snuggle up to Kira. Kira would move away, and she would follow her and try again! After I fed them and cleaned their litter box and potty pads, Kira and Lisa Lee came and sat in the living room with me. They both wanted lots of attention! Lisa Lee hopped up in the chair with me for a little bit. She came over by me everytime I called her today. I had them both purring like crazy!

Dakota & Benny

Kota and Benny were happy to get outside for a bit. Kota immediately started racing around the backyard, with mud flying up behind her! Benny was chasing back and forth along the fence with the neighbor dogs. They turned into a couple mud puppies really quick! Kota and Benny were hanging out behind the shed for awhile, so I went back there to see what they were up to. There must have been something under the shed that they were after! There was a big hole that Kota kept sticking her head into and all of a sudden, then Benny disappeared! He was underneath the shed doing who knows what. Kota was running back and forth between the front and back trying to see what was going on. She stuck her whole face into a mud puddle by the entrance! I think she really wanted to go under there with him. When Benny emerged, he was no longer a white dog. He was completely brown! The first pic is before he went under there, and wasn't too terribly muddy yet... compared to after haha. I hosed Kota off out side, since her legs were really the only parts that were muddy. I picked Benny up, took him into the bathroom and gave him a quick bath! He was a very good boy for me. So if he's still a little damp when you get home, that's why!
Benny almost blends in with the ground!

"Hey, where you going?"
(That little white thing by Kota's right front foot is the last you can see of Benny!)

Miss Ella & Cali

The girls weren't waiting by the door for me today like they usually are, but came running as soon as I was inside! They both followed me around at first, then waited by the back door. They stared outside, then would look at me as if they were asking, "pretty please?". Miss Ella came and sat just outside the bathroom door while I cleaned that litter box. After I watered the plants and trees it started sprinkling again. Even though it was a cloudy day raining on and off, it was still pretty warm out. So the girls and I sat on the porch again today. Cali curled up on the table and looked out the window. Miss Ella rolled around on the floor, sat in the window sill, and played around with me.

Kira, Bunky & Lisa Lee

Bunky was sitting in the hallway again today. She followed me over to their food dishes and laid down by the towel on the floor. Kira was snuggled up on top of the recliner again. Lisa Lee came out to say hi to me. As I headed to clean their litter box, she hopped up on the bed. I was talking to her and she started rolling around and hanging her head off the edge of the bed, rubbing her face on the sheet. Kira hopped up there with her for a little bit. I gave them another treat of yummy canned food today. They all came running except for Bunky, who was already right there. I slid a plate over to her so she wouldn't have to get up. I pet her for awhile and she just purred away!

Dakota & Benny

It wasn't raining when we went for our walk this afternoon and was actually pretty nice out! Benny was circling the living room carrying his big blue bone when I came in today. He tried to bring it along with us! Kota and Benny were doing their racing thing again when we got started! They were barking back and forth with each other and hopping along as fast as they could. There were quite a few dogs out in their yards today so Benny was pretty excited! Kota went both on the walk today and had some very runny stool. She went right in her kennel when we got back and Benny laid down on the kitchen floor panting for a minute. Then he searched for his bone and carried that around and was still breathing heavy!

Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Mattie was up and waiting for me to go outside this afternoon. She must have knocked over the big candle trying to get up before I got there. Sugar didn't want to go out again, but the other three stayed out for awhile. Buddy didn't cough at all this afternoon. He was pretty snuggly with me today! This morning and afternoon he kept coming by me for some attention. Mattie was a little more energetic this afternoon than she was this morning. She seemed to be feeling a bit better and wanted more attention from me too!

Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

I let the little ones out this morning and had to look for Mattie. She wasn't in her usual spots! I found her sleeping on the hardwood floor next to the living room. Jimmy and Buddy were the only two to go outside for me. Mattie didn't feel like getting up and Sugar was hiding under the bed. I got their meds and breakfast ready, and brought one of the bowls over to Mattie girl. They all ate a bunch for me. Buddy coughed twice this morning, once when I let him out and once while he was eating. Mattie started barking at me for some attention! I went over by her and thought maybe she wanted to get up, but she just kept rolling on her back when I'd try to help her up! So I just sat and rubbed her belly for awhile.

Miss Ella & Cali

The girls were waiting at the door for me again today. They both were following me around as I cleaned out their litter boxes. Miss Ella was really wanting attention and was rubbing up against my legs the whole time. I went out to water the plants today, since the snow is gone. I thought I'd let the girls sit out on the porch while I did that, but it was too windy and I was worried about the screen door staying shut. So I scooped them up and put them back in for a few minutes until I was done. Then I went back in and we all sat out on the porch for awhile. They really liked that! It was really nice out today, but a little windy. They weren't sure about the wind at first, but then didn't seem to mind too much. Miss Ella was getting a little spunky and was rolling around out there and getting playful with me while I tried petting her. Cali hopped up into the window sill and soaked up some sun! I don't think they were too happy with me when I made them go back inside!

Kira, Bunky & Lisa Lee

Bunky was laying in the hallway to the right of the living room today when I came in. She got up and came over to me to say hi! Kira appeared around the corner of the couch and meowed at me. Bunky walked away and curled up behind the couch for awhile. I found miss Lisa Lee sleeping on a pillow on the bed again. She didn't hide when I approached her today, and just walked over and let me pet her for awhile. The kitties had finished their yummy treat I gave them yesterday! After I finished cleaning the litter box and potty pads, Kira and I spent some time together. She hopped up on the chair with me for awhile. Lisa Lee came out again and grabbed a bite to eat. Bunky was still sleeping in her spot behind the couch when it was time to go.

Pheonix, Coal & Oliver

The boys were happy to go outside with me today! They pretty much stayed out there the whole time because it's so nice out! Pheonix and Oliver said hi to the neighbor dog that's on the back side of the fence. Coal had went inside and had some lunch for a bit, while Oliver and Pheonix came by me for some attention. The boys explored all over the yard today. Pheonix could see people walking on the other side of the fence and would stick his nose out of the hole to say hi!

Harvi, Porthos & Athos

The boys were right at the door when I came in tonight. I went to put the mail in the kitchen and noticed someone had fun unrolling a bunch of paper towel! They followed me into the garage to get everyone's supper ready. Atti made imself comfortable on the truck again. I picked each of them up and they let me snuggle with them for a minute. They were both trying to sneak out the back door on me! Harvi didn't come out for her food tonight. She hasn't done that before, so I thought that was very odd. I called her for a long time, but she just sat in her house and looked at me. The only thing I can think of, is maybe she slipped in the mud out there and is afraid to again. Her hind end was pretty muddy from what I could see. Hopefully she ventures out later to eat her supper! I went back inside to spend some time with the boys. They started wrestling around and getting very rambunctious! They've been cooped up for two days because of the weather and were itching to get out, so I decided to let the little mischevious ones out for the night. haha!

Koko & Sierra

The girls were both crying a little as I came in this morning, until I got over to them. So cute! Sierra ate all of her breakfast right away for me this morning! When I was cleaning up their potty pads I heard her go back to her bowl and lick at it a couple times. I figured she was probably pretty hungry since she didn't eat for almost a day. So, I put an extra scoop of dry kibble in her bowl and put it in the room for her to munch on later. Sierra and Koko were bouncing up and down at the gate tonight. I tried to get a picture but couldn't get a good one. They're so cute when they do that! Sierra is pretty much back to normal. She was of course too excited to play lighty to eat her supper. I put it in the bedroom for her to eat later. We had extra time to play lighty tonight, so they had a blast! They both were running big circles in the living room, chasing after the light! There was a package on the porch tonight, so I brought it inside before I left.

Miss Ella & Cali

Miss Ella and Cali both came running to the door when I came in today! They both followed me around at first. Cali made herself comfortable in a chair at the kitchen table. I gave her some attention, then went to clean their litter boxes. Miss Ella came into the bedroom and ate some food while I was doing that. One of them threw up on the coffee table and got one of the books on it a little bit. I cleaned the table off and dried the book as best I could. Only a couple pages right on the corner got wet. Afterwards, Miss Ella came and sat on my lap for awhile.

Kira, Bunky & Lisa Lee

Kira was all curled up on top of the blue chair and Bunky was sleeping on the floor again when I came in today. Kira hopped down right away to say hi to me. I went into the bedroom and saw Lisa Lee was sleeping on one of the pillows on the bed. Someone threw up on the comforter, so I picked that up right away. I didn't clean it with anything because I figured it can just be thrown in the wash later. After I cleaned their litter pan and potty pads, I gave them each a treat of their yummy canned food! They all came out and picked a plate. Kira came back by me for some more attention in between eating.

Dakota & Benny

It got really nice out today for our walk! Benny was happy to see me and started racing around the living room in circles! Kota was ready to go too and was telling me to hurry up! The sidewalks were pretty wet with the snow melting, so Kota and Benny had pretty wet tummies. After we got started I think they were trying to race each other! They were both barking and hopping along, but there were no dogs or people out yet for them to get excited about. Later Benny tried to clear a puddle, but landed his back end right in! One house that usually has dogs outside, didn't today. Benny got all excited, but no barking dog! I got them all dried off when we got home and they both laid down right away.

Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Everyone was doing well this morning. Mattie was up right after I let the pups out of their kennels and went outside for me. Buddy coughed about 3 times after I let him out, but not the hacking cough you were saying to watch for. Mattie stayed out for about 15 minutes before she was ready to come in again. She looked a little rough when I got there. When she came in I got their meds and breakfast ready. I was going to put a bowl over by her since she was laying down, but she got up anyways. She ate a good amount of food! After she ate, she seemed to perk up a lot. She went in the living room and rolled around on the floor for a bit. She kept getting up and coming over by me for some attention. This afternoon they were all doing pretty good still. I gave Mattie another Tramadol. She went out for me right away again. She was a little more sluggish this time, but went potty and came back inside. Buddy didn't cough at all this visit. He and Jimmy went over to the side of the house to sun themselves! Then the sprinklers came on and they came running back inside! haha!

Pheonix, Coal & Oliver

The boys were very sleepy this morning! Pheonix came up to me after I was already inside. Usually he is waiting by the door for me. Oliver was snuggled up in the sweatshirt on the couch and Coal was snoozing on his blankie. It was a little cooler out this morning yet, so they did their business and came right back inside. After they got their treats, they all curled up around me and took a nap. This afternoon it got really nice out! The boys were excited to go outside and spent most of the time out there. They explored over by the gate for awhile. I wasn't sure what they were looking for! Then Pheonix and Oliver said hi to Max. Oliver was having fun kicking the remaining snow around with his back feet! Pheonix laid down on the patio in the sun and was really enjoying it!
Aaahhhh... sun feels good!
