Bella & Zoe

I let Zoe out of the kitchen this morning and she beat Bella and me to the backdoor. She zoomed out, while Bella casually strolled out the door. They sat by the door once they done, and came back in for a delicious treat. Bella doesn't like to take the treat first because she knows Zoe will just steal it, so I always give Zoe hers right away. They both took their treats and ran off to separate spots to eat them. This evening Zoe was more hyper than ever once I released her from the cage. All her pent up energy definitely showed. She was bouncing from the couch to the floor to the kitchen, it was so funny! They went potty, then came back in for their treats. Then Bella sat on her hind legs and gave me her front paws randomly. It was so cute!

Chloe

Chloe barked at my arrival this morning. She ran upto me with her tail wagging like crazy. She raced me to the backdoor and we headed outside. It was freezing out, but it didn't seem to phase her at all. I tossed her frizbee a few times until it got too cold, then we went back in and she grabbed a bite. This evening she was standing behind the door waiting excitedly for me. She even had her little reindeer in her mouth, fully prepared to play. I let her out quick and when she came back in we played keep away with her reindeer. She eventually started to get warm from all the excitement, so we settled down and I gave her a nice tummy rub.

Shadow

Shadow was sitting behind the laundry room door when I arrived this evening. He sniffed my pants then followed me to the kitchen. He heard me pull out a can of kitty food and instantly started giving me love bites on my leg telling me to hurry it up. I gave him a little to start with, then sat down with him. He crawled on my lap for awhile until he wandered back over by his food. He ate a little more, then it was back to cuddling.

Ginger, Scout, Tiger & Kitty

This afternoon I stepped over the gate and was greeted happily by excited puppies. Ginger demanded attention first. Scout stood quietly beside and waited her turn. Tiger was as eager as Ginger. I finally scooted them all outside so they could go potty. They went quickly so they could get out of the cold sooner. Once we were back inside, they all got a little treat. This evening I let the pups all outside to do their business. We didn't stay out for too long since it was chilly with the wind out there. Inside, we sat in the living room. Ginger would paw at my legs to be pet. I got them each a couple treats to work on. Scout took hers off to a corner and cuddled up to enjoy it. Tiger finished, then went to go eat some supper. Everyone went out potty one last time before bed. Before I left, I popped in by the kitty to say hi.

Abbie, Sonny, Guinevere & Tabitha

This morning Abbie met me.at the door, snorting happily as I pet her. We headed outside right away and we walked around the neighborhood until she was ready to go back. Once we got back, I popped open the canned dog and cat food, and they all came running! Guinevere was always the first to dig in. Once the kitties were finished, Abbie would once again clean their plates for them. This afternoon Abbie came to the door to sniff all the other pet smells on me. I got her collar and little jacket on, then we went for a stroll around the neighborhood. After awhile, I let her lead me around as she wanted to go sniff and check things out. When we got home we sat in the living room and she curled up on my lap. Sonny came wandering in by us. He wanted some attention too. He rolled around and enjoyed being pet. Tonight when I arrived, I saw Abbie through the window, running to meet me. I strapped on her little coat and we went for a short stroll around the block. When we returned, it was feeding time again. While they all ate, I took care of the litter pans and checked on their water.

Buddy, Bruno, A.C., Angel, & Aspen

This morning I got the boys up and leashed up. Buddy came right into the laundry room for me while I got Bruno's jacket on. He looks so cute in his little coat! We headed out and took a nice long walk. It was a little chilly with the wind, but they didn't mind. Buddy was so excited for his walk! He went on the opposite side of the bushes lining the driveway, then leapt right over. He was in a bouncy mood! A couple of the horses came wandering up to the fence to get a closer look at us. When we got back home I got the kitties their breakfast. Aspen sure likes to wolf down his food! I tried to pull him back a bit so A.C. could have a chance too. This afternoon A.C. and Aspen were laying on the couch together, on opposite ends. As soon as I walked in, Aspen began rolling around, then hopped down for some attention. The boys and I went for another long walk this afternoon. Buddy is so much more comfortable with me this time. I haven't had to go get him from under the bed yet. Plus, he walks around in the kitchen with me in there and even comes up for a scratch on the head once in awhile! This evening I saw coyotes in a neighborhood nearby, so I just took the boys out to potty. Bruno and I sat in the living room. He brought me his rawhide for a game of fetch. He and Aspen would both go racing for it! It was hilarious! When it was time I tucked him in and fed them their dinner.

Fiona, Danner, Jenny & Lew

This morning the gang all greeted me at the door with wagging tails. Fiona nearly took me out on the way to the.garage! I guess she was excited to eat breakfast! We all headed outside this morning after they finished. Danner and Jenny stuck around by me for some back and belly scratchings. Danner was just going crazy, loving it up! Fiona was running around and doing a little exploring. Lew came out for a minute, then hung out inside and curled up on his bed. I went on aa search for the other two kongs and found them outside. They all got a yummy peanut butter snack for Thanksgiving! Tonight when I arrived, Fiona immediately jumped up to give me a hug. Danner made his way over to give me some slobbery kisses. We made our way to the garage and they all danced around anxiously as I prepared their food. I put them each in separate corners and they chowed down. I headed back inside once they were all finished. Jenny and Lew followed. Jenny sat in front of me and gave me the puppy face, making me give her extra hugs. The other two plowed in the room shortly after, making their presence known with lots of wet kisses.

Ursa

This morning I wished Ursa a Happy Thanksgiving when I walked in. She responded with a "woof" while bouncing up and down. I let her outside to go potty and she waited for me to come out with her. Back inside, she got her breakfast and pills. She and I spent most of our morning visit outside since it was a little nicer out. She did a little exploring and sniffing around. Then, I asked where her ball was. Instead of going to get the one in the yard, she wanted the one in her kennel! We played fetch with that for quite awhile. Then, she went and grabbed a couple of her other toys out to play with. This evening Ursa did her business then came in for her dinner. We went back outside again to enjoy the last of the warmer day this week. She ran from one end of the yard to the other, checking things out. Then, she came to sit by me for a heiny scratch. When we headed in, she sat for her bedtime snacks!

Butterscotch, Marmalade & Sweet Pea

This morning I walked in and saw all the kitties in the living room. Butter came over and meowed, "I'm hungry!" I gave him his pill, then got their breakfast ready while they waited in the kitchen. Butter finished first, so I made sure he steered clear until Marmalade was done. So, of course he waited by the dry food dish! Sweet Pea got a little spunky this morning. She ran over to the rug, jumped around on it and kicked at it! I gave Butter some food to work on while I scooped litter boxes. When I finished I pet Butter for a bit until he wandered off. Then it was Sweet Pea's turn! We played for a long time with the little paddle string toy. She had so much fun! This evening Butter and Sweet Pea were sitting in the living room. They both followed me to the kitchen right away. As soon as Marmalade heard the plates, he came running too! They each licked their plate clean. After I finished scooping litter, both Butter and Sweet Pea enjoyed playing with the string toy with me tonight. Marmalade just sat under the kitchen table and watched us. I thought he was going to come pouncing in a couple times, but he stayed put.

Piglet, Echo, Zephyr, Tony & Chickens

This morning I was greeted by two happy kitties, wanting their attention. They danced around my legs as I got their breakfast ready. I cleaned their boxes while they got working on their food. I walked into the bedroom to find Piglet lounging on the bed this morning. She misses her momma & daddy! She laid there for a little scratching before she came down and out to the living room. The chickens were ready for their breakfast too! They picked up all the lettuce pieces as I was tossing them around. Tony was very talkative today, doing his "gobble gobble". I think he knew what day it was! He was saying that he was thankful for such a nice house and a wonderful family to care for him. After the chickens were taken care of, I went back in to get Piglet. We took a nice long stroll around the yard this morning. This evening Piglet was huddled up by the door, waiting for some company. I gave her some love then said hi to the kitties as well. I made sure the kitties were fed, then fixed up all the chickens treats. I headed out and one kept trying to fly into the oats while it was in my hand! I almost died laughing. Tony was chilling on the perch in the little house. He sat there and watched me feed the chickens. Once they were all taken care of, it was Piglets time to go out for a walk. We saw a bunch of bunnies and she got excited and wanted to say hi, but they all scattered.
