Izzy & Toby

Today I stopped and talked with the neighbor for a few minutes before heading in. I got a new car since the last time I've been there. I headed inside and Izzy was there to see me shortly after. She meowed at me in the kitchen while I read the notes. Izzy followed me around and helped me take care of the fishes. Then, she sat and rolled around on the floor while I cleaned her box. I made sure Toby had enough food and water outside. He seems a lot less shy now! He came over and wiggled his heiny while I pet him. I got him a treat, then went to visit with Izzy. She laid on the floor and enjoyed her attention time. She just purred away!

Murdy & Charlie

This morning both boys came bolting across the balcony and down the stairs when I arrived. Today they both were instantly attached to my legs! Murdy hopped up on the counter for his eye medicine. His eye is looking so much better. Charlie got a new can of food and started meowing loudly when I opened it. He trotted along to the bathroom to go work on his breakfast. Murdy got some chin scratch time in before I started cleaning their box and getting them fresh food and water. Murdy must be feeling better because he was in a playful mood today. Murdy went and sat in their tunnel, so I kept sticking a feather toy around the corner for him to paw at. He'd stick one paw out to grab at it. Then, Charlie would try to get Murdy's arm! During one attempt, Charlie plowed into the side of the tunnel, then jumped on top, right where Murdy was sitting! Those boys are so funny.

Flax & Booty

This morning Flax wandered over to say hi to me right away. Its going to be another gorgeous day for him! He laid in his favorite spot and took a little snooze while I got their breakfast ready. Booty was happy to see me and followed me everywhere, as usual. Booty kept peeking up into Flax's bowl to see if he had anything good to eat in there. Booty followed me to his area next and I got him some fresh food and water. He was more worried about being pet than eating for this morning. When I went to sit with Flax for awhile, Booty went and laid in the garage. This evening I saw Flax had moved to a different spot. He was laying in the grass in a shady spot. He looked pretty comfy out there. I walked up and gave him a couple hello pets. He stayed there while I went to get them some fresh water. I filled Flax's bowl with his dry and canned food this evening. Tonight's flavor had big chunks of meat in it. Booty thought they were pretty tasty! He reached up in there and nibbled a bit. What a goofball. I checked his food and he hadn't even touched his can of food. I mixed it up a bit with my finger to see if the aroma would interest him. Nope, he liked the doggie kind better tonight. I went over by Flax and he was still laying in the grass. He itched his face on the ground and groaned. He sure is a lucky dog! I'd be happy laying out there all day too. Haha!

Harvey & King

This morning King was bouncing around, excited to go outside. I let the boys have a minute to go potty. Harvey came in to eat again, while I stayed out with King to make sure he ate. I helped him a little again today since he was only interested in playing. I had to take the log from his mouth and redirect him to his food. Eventually, he finished off his dish, minus a few kibbles that fell on the patio. Harvey was happy to come out and clean those up for us! I asked King where his frisbee was and he promptly ran and pounced on it. Then, he brought it over for a few throws. Harvey was wandering around in the bushes on the side of the house. King went to see what he was up to, then they got into their wrestling match again. They played and played! Harvey was all nice and wet from King slobbering all over him. Haha!

Shelby, Baby & the kitties

Shelby was happy to see me this morning. She wandered over to say hi before she went outside. I went and checked to make sure the little bat was gone, and he was. Phew! I was not looking forward to trying to move it if it was still there. I checked under the bed today, and sure enough, there was Tiny! He still wouldn't come out to visit me, but at least I know he's safe inside. Bitty came and sat in the kitchen while I cleaned the litter box. I gave Baby some more food, then went outside with Shelby. Bitty and Coco both joined me outside. Shelby enjoyed the morning and just lounged around in the grass. Shelby and I headed back in when it was time. Bitty came in too, but Coco decided to stay out for the day so I got her a bowl of water. This evening Coco came inside, while Shelby and Bitty headed out. I saw Shim was laying in the corner in the bedroom. Tiny still doesn't feel like coming out to see me. Maybe some day soon! I made sure Baby had enough food and water for the night. Shelby had another great evening. She just laid in the grass and sniffed at the air. She rolled around on her back a bit. Ahhh! Grass feels nice! Bitty sat out in the grass near her, keeping his eyes on the birds nearby.

Jackie & Meeko

This morning was just beautiful outside. Meeko was already sitting on the counter, patiently awaiting for his breakfast to be delivered. I let Jackie out quick, then grabbed his things, and off we went! We got another nice long walk in this morning, since it was nice and cool out. We saw a lady that was commenting on how gorgeous Jackie was! When we got home Jackie ate his breakfast before I left. This afternoon we played out in the yard. Jackie got very excited to hear his momma's voice! His ears perked up and he bounced up and down in place. Later, he and I played with his stick. He grabbed his ball for me, but lost interest in that after I threw it. He prefers to play keep away! He loves that I chase after him and he prances around with the big stick in his mouth. He's so funny. When we headed inside, Jackie wanted to play a little tug, so he grabbed his sock toy. Meeko, for some reason, detested that idea. He kept hissing at Jackie as he sat on the table. But, Jackie just ignored him. I got Jackie his treats in his kong toy for the afternoon. This evening I got Meeko his dinner and let Jackie outside. When I went upstairs to clean Meeko's box, Jackie cried for me the whole time. By the time I got back down, he was bouncing around all over the place. He already knew what we were about to do! I got him ready and we went for a nice long walk tonight.
