Taz & Clyde

Today the boys met me at the door. We headed outside right away for them to take a potty break before breakfast. They came back inside and lined up at their bowls, ready to eat. After Clyde finished, I got them all hooked up and we went out for a long walk. It was a beautiful morning! After we came back and went outside one last time, Taz went to work on his food. This afternoon the boys followed me into the laundry room to get their snack, then to the back door and outside. They sat nicely and each took their bones to different places to work on them. Taz did some exploring around the yard once he finished. Clyde sat with me and got pet, then curled up in the shade and enjoyed the weather. This evening there were so many people, crazy kids and dogs out. I let the boys outside in the backyard and they started racing the fenceline. Since they were so excited every time they saw movement, I thought we would forego our walk for tonight. Later, we headed back in for their dinner. They both polished off their bowls pretty quick, so we spent the rest of the time outside. As I was leaving, they gave me those sad eyes because we didn't go. I told them we would in the morning!

Jerrie & Kimmie

Today Jerrie and Kimmie were laying in the exact same spots when I came in! I said hi to them quick, then went to make sure they had fresh food and water and clean boxes. Jerrie sat on his middle tier while I pet and brushed him. He enjoyed a long brushing session today! He laid his head back so I could get his chin and neck. I brushed all the loose hairs off his back. Then, I held the brush so he could use it himself for a bit. He rubbed his face on it from one side to the other. Kimmie got her attention time in too. She wasn't in a playful mood today and just wanted loving. She got her chin and head scratched for a bit. She was laying on the top tier in the sunshine, so she had to flip over and sun the other side for awhile!

Dawn, Gallagher, Bobo & Snowflake

Today Dawn and Gallagher were peeking out at me through the window when I pulled up. They started barking right away! Haha! I squeezed in through the door so Dawn couldn't try to escape. They were quite excited to see me and followed me everywhere. I got them each a can of food and moved more food down into the bottom of their feeder. I checked on Bebe next. He was sitting under his little hideout. I made sure he had plenty of food and water. The dogs patiently waited outside the door for me to return, then they followed me to see Bobo and Snowflake. We parted ways at the bedroom door since they were so hyper! I came in and found those two snuggled up together in their bed. I picked Bobo up and snuggled him a bit. I made sure they had plenty of stuff and scooped out their boxes a little. Bobo sure wanted to play with the trash can! Snowflake had wandered out and she sat beneath me the whole time, sniffing at me. I held her for a bit too. They just sat and stared at me like, "Who are you?" After awhile I snuck back out of their room and went to visit with the pooches. I got them each a treat. I had to make sure not to watch Dawn eat hers haha! They both sat with me and got pet for a bit. Gallagher barked quite a bit but was happy for the attention! He was a good boy so far.

Rusty, Ruby & the gang

This morning I let Ruby out and the pups danced along excitedly to the back door. We went outside and they did their thing. I refilled the bucket for Justin, Heyday & Chloe since it was empty. It started to rain a little, which sent Ruby racing into the house. Next, I headed inside to feed the pups. Rusty was more interested in carrying around his ball. Salem was sitting on the bed in the turtle room. She watched me while I got them fresh food and water. I offered my hand to her to let her smell me a bit, then went about taking care of her things. Rusty and Ruby were both sitting by the side of the bed. They got so excited when I walked in and so I stopped to give them some attention. This afternoon the pups and I headed right outside. It was warm but super nice out! Justin was standing by the fence, watching me for a bit. Chloe and Heyday decided to go for a nice dip in the water. Rusty wasn't too interested in fetch this afternoon. He and Ruby spent most of the time lounging in the grass, soaking up some sun. I tried leaving Ruby out of her kennel this afternoon. She did great! The pups were both in the living room on the couch when I got there. They followed me outside and started bouncing around excitedly. I went and fed Chloe, Heyday and Justin. They all came running! I fed Rusty and Ruby next, then we played outside a bit. Rusty was up for a game of fetch now! We played while Ruby sat next to me for attention. It was a nice evening to sit outside. When it was time I tucked Ruby into her bed for the night and gave her a treat for being so good today.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning Stormy was all curled up on a different chair on the patio. She came down, gave me a meow, then started her rolling and stretching. I had to interrupt her today to give her her medication. She did very well for me. I took her back out to the patio when we were done and set her down. She took one step and melted down to the floor, commencing her rolling around! She enjoyed a few scratches on the top of her head. I got their food ready and went to see Sadi next. She was snoozing away under the top end of the bed. I got her up and she sleepily stood there while I got her stuff ready. I soaked her face a bit to get the goobers off. She wasn't too thrilled with that, but it had to be done. She took her medications, then ate a bit. Her left eye looks about the same, just a slight bit of cloudiness, so I will visit her again later today. She came out to the living room for some attention. Sadi gave me lots of thank you licks today! She purred away as I scratched her little chin.
