This morning the boys were both up and waiting at the door for me. There were thunderstorms moving through, so I just let them out to go potty. We sat out on the patio for a little bit. Baxter went over to eat the treats, but was disappointed that they were pretty soggy. He did eat a couple though! There was a loud crack of thunder and Zeus started to cry so we went back inside. They both laid in the back hallway with me while I pet them. I think Zeus was pretty nervous, but luckily I was there with them for the majority of the storm. Tonight Zelda was laying in her usual spot in the driveway. The boys were waiting by the door to go outside again. They both headed right for their treat! They had received some fresh ones so they gobbled those up first. The others seemed to have dried out some and they were eaten as well! Zeus came running over for me to pet him and Baxter curled up on the patio nearby. Tonight they started wrestling around with each other! I've never seen them play like that! On my way out I stopped to give Zelda some more attention.

Ladybug, Boomer, Bella & Bo
This morning I let everybody outside right away. It was a beautiful morning out and not quite as hot as the past several days, so I let the puppies play outside a little longer today. When I came back to let them inside I got them their ice cubes and breakfast. Boomer, my little buddy, sat in my lap for awhile. Bo was eating some breakfast and Ladybug munched on some ice cubes. Bella was content on her pillow, gnawing on a little rawhide. This afternoon everyone was happily chasing after golf carts! I gave them their bones to chew on while we were out there. The puppies were having fun rolling around in the yard together! They would each take turns and sort of watch each other. Tonight it was still very nice out. They guarded their yard and barked at some people walking along the path once it was dark out. Bella started barking frantically like I've never heard her do before. I went over where she was to find Boomer pawing at the ground with her watching. I didn't have the light out on the patio because I didn't want to attract all kinds of bugs, so I crouched down to see what they were upset about. It was a huge toad! I tried to get it to hop away into the garden, but Boomer and Bella just followed him. After that we went inside for awhile so they could calm down before bedtime. Ladybug crunched away on her ice cubes, getting them all stuck on her face again! They each took turns chewing on the stuffed bones like good puppies. Boomer curled up on my lap for awhile before I put everyone to bed.
Dakota & Benny
As soon as I let Kota out of her cage we got ready for our morning walk. It was really nice out this morning! We took a nice long one again and it was very quiet outside. There weren't too many dogs out in their backyards like usual. This afternoon after I watered the plants we decided to take another walk since it's not quite as hot out as the past several days! There was a slight breeze that helped. A little dachschund came running out of a garage and wanted to come say hi. We crossed the street right away and he stayed in his yard like a good puppy. They were both very tired when we got back. Kota went right in her kennel and laid down while Benny sprawled out on the tile. Tonight Kota and Benny were anxious to get going on their night walk! Kota was talking to me the whole time. There was a family sitting outside that we passed, and a little boy was walking toward us saying, "Kota! Kota!". I thought maybe he knew Kota, but the mom told me that they had a husky named Kota too! I'm pretty sure he's the one we always see that's doing the husky cry every time we pass their house. There was a little old sheltie out being walked tonight that Benny wasn't too thrilled about! We saw them a second time so I kept Benny close to me and he did very well and didn't even bark. Towards the end of our walk as we passed a corner, I saw a little girl out with her puggle. He wasn't on a leash and was heading toward us, so I scooped Benny up right away. The little girl and her dad both couldn't catch the little guy! I kept walking carrying Benny and he followed us for a bit, while managing to escape his owners!
Zeus, Baxter & Zelda
I didn't see Zelda out in the driveway this morning, so I went right in to let Zeus and Baxter out. Baxter was pretty sleepy again this morning so I had to coax him out from under the bed. He had some breakfast and Zeus followed me around while I watered the plants. When I went out front to water those, Zelda came out and meowed at me. I pet her out front for awhile. She rolled around on the ground and just purred away! Tonight Zelda was laying in the driveway and the boys ran right up to the gate again. I said hi to her for a little while before going to see the boys. Baxter was ready to run right inside, although it wasn't quite as hot out today. Zeus got his ears rubbed for awhile. He let out a big sigh and pushed his head into my hand. They meandered from the back room to the carpeted area in the entryway. Baxter rolled over onto his side and took a nap. When I was leaving, I met the older gentleman that gives the neighborhood dogs their treats! He had his two little yorkies with him. The one little dog was busy giving Zelda kisses while we talked! He left the treats for the boys so they could get them in the morning. He is such a sweet man! He went over to the neighbor dachschund who was waiting patiently outside for his treat next.
Roxie, Ralphi and Rudy
This morning everybody was awake but very quiet when I walked in. I let them all out then fed them their breakfast and gave them some fresh water. Once they were finished I brought their rawhides outside for them. Rudy and I played fetch with one while Ralphi was busy chewing on the other. Roxie chased around with Rudy for a little while, then was trying to share with Ralphi! Ralphi is pretty good at shredding pieces off of the rawhides. When it was time to go I got them all wiped off and gave them their bedtime treats.
"Look mom, I'm sharing!"

Ladybug, Boomer, Bella & Bo
The babies started barking when they heard me coming inside. They jumped around until I let them out, so I could get Ladybug and Boomer out too. When I came back they were ready to go inside. They all ran in and headed for the ice bowl! I decided to give them the stuffed bones to see how they did with those. Ladybug was fine, but little miss Bella was being a sassy girl anytime someone walked by her! So I put them back on the counter before I left. This afternoon I came in and Bella was out of the kitchen! Your family was there taking care of the plants, so I thought maybe thats how she got out. While they were outside I gave them the two stuffed rawhides to chew on since they'd have some supervision this time. Tonight I let everyone go out potty quick. Ladybug, Boomer and I decided to go for a nice long walk while the puppies played. Boomer is a good little guard dog! It was getting to be pretty dark out and a guy was walking out to his car. Boomer got upset and didn't take his eyes off him! When we got home Ladybug and Boomer got to join the puppies in the backyard for awhile before I tucked everyone in for the night.
Dakota & Benny
This morning they had a little energy to burn. I got them hooked up and opened the front door as we were getting ready to leave. They both started freaking out and it scared the crap outta me! haha! There was a black cat sitting on the front porch and they wanted to go get him! I waited until it ran away before I opened the glass door. As soon as they got out they were pulling, trying to go after him. Eventually they lost interest and we were able to get going. We took another nice long walk today! They both got a comment on how beautiful they were by someone walking to their car. Kota ate some breakfast when we got home. After I gave Benny his allergy pill I tossed his ball for him and gave him a good back scratch. This afternoon it got very hot out, so we played out in the backyard for a little bit. They both sat under the tree in the shade. Kota rolled around like a silly little girl! Kota was ready to go back inside pretty soon and they were both panting pretty well. We played inside again and ran around. Tonight I let Kota out and she was telling me she wanted another walk! There was a nice breeze out so we went for a nice long walk again. There were several dogs out tonight playing in their front yards. When we were about half way through, I saw a dog and his owners turn onto our path about a block ahead. Kota and Benny picked up the trail as soon as we got to it and boy were they on a mission! Kota was weaving back and forth, frantically smelling the ground! Benny was so interested in trying to find that dog that he didn't even care about his usual houses. They were both very tired when we got home. I gave Kota her supper and Benny his pill. Kota had to take a break from eating and rest a few minutes before she finished.
Zeus, Baxter and Zelda
I saw Zelda sitting out front on the sidewalk in the shade this morning. I got out and she started meowing at me! I said hi to her for a little while before going inside. The boys were sleepyheads this morning! Zeus came to the door after I called for them. I let him out then went to look for Baxter. He was sleeping under one of the beds, so I had to get him to come out with me. I watered the plants while Zeus was following close behind me. When I finished we sat in the shade on the patio. I got some of Baxter's itchies for him! I rubbed Zeus's ears and he let out a little grunt and leaned into my hand like, "That feels good!". Tonight Zelda was laying in the driveway when I pulled up. The neighbor dachschund was outside too and he looked like he wanted to come say hi! The boys were barking at me, ready to go back in the house. I headed through the garage and saw them run to the door. They ran in and laid on the cool tile floor. I added some water to the pool tonight while I pet the boys. When I was leaving I stopped to pet Zelda for awhile. She still hadn't moved from her spot!
Toby, Tyson & Morgan
Toby heard me coming today and barked until I opened the door. We went out in the backyard to play for a little bit. I tossed his tennis ball for him, then he spent some time exploring. It was a little too hot to go for a walk today and he sure didn't want to go. He was panting pretty good just from being in the backyard and cooled himself off on the tile floor. We ran around inside for awhile too. He was playing 'keep away' with me. He even scooped up one of my shoes and was teasing me with that! He was like, "haha I have your shoe!" and he'd put it down until I got close. Then he'd pick it up and run some more! He got tired again and sprawled out on the kitchen floor while I pet the kitties for awhile.
Ralphi, Roxie and Rudy
Everyone was already outside when I came this morning. I got their breakfast ready right away for them and gave them some water. Rudy was done first, so he was ready to play some fetch! Ralphi was concerned that he would miss out, so he took breaks from his food to see what was going on. I waited until everyone was finished before we played. There was a rawhide out back, so Ralphi had that and didn't let go! Since he was occupied with that, Rudy and I actually got to throw the stub of the log around for a long time. Roxie helped him chase it a few times, but she mostly came and rolled over by me for a tummy rub! The grass was covered in dew, so I wiped everyone down before we came inside. They all got their treats and went back to bed.
