Crash & Genny

Crash was standing in the window, barking as I came to the door this evening. Both he and Genny were right there, tails a-wagging, to greet me! Genny was carrying around her little puppy dog toy. I made her leave it inside as we went out to play. Luckily the rain held off, so we had a nice time outside. They each came up to me for a back scratch. Crash and Genny watched the neighbors playing outside with their dog for a bit, then laid in the grass and smelled the air. We headed in to get Crash his medicine and get them dinner. I brought Genny's food over to her and they each finished off their own bowl. Crash came over when he was done and gave me all kinds of kisses! After dinner we went back outside for awhile to enjoy the evening. They each got a treat when it was time to come back inside.

Luke & Maycie

This morning I let Luke and Maycie outside, then went to say good morning to Spiketail. She was not a happy camper this morning! She puffed up and was acting sassy when I turned her light on. I must have startled her. I went back out by the dogs so she could relax. By the time I got outside and threw a ball for Luke, I realized he had already gotten his other ball down. So now that he had two, he was carrying them both around in his mouth! He's so funny! He would bring them both over for me to throw for him. Maycie was busy wandering around the yard. She was sniffing and checking things out by the shed, then in the garden, then over by a hole in the fence. This afternoon I let the pups go potty quick, then brought them back in for lunch. The rain had stopped, so the dogs didn't get too dirty outside while they played. This time Maycie was racing around with Luke as he ran to fetch his ball. She even stole it one time! She was having fun chasing after him for awhile. Then later, she did some more exploring while he played. I got them each a carrot treat and said my goodbyes. I will miss them!

Toby, Tyson & Morgan

This morning Tyson and Morgan were both in the entry way, ready to say hi as I came in. Toby was sprawled out in bed and rolled onto his back for his tummy rub when he saw me. It was pouring rain out this morning, so we didn't get to go for our walk. The water was all the way up to the mailbox and by the next house it was running across the ditch into the road! Needless to say, Toby didn't spend a long time outside to go potty. He came in and ate breakfast, then we got to play time! He dug around in his basket and kept bringing out different toys for us to play fetch and tug of war with. By this afternoon the rain had stopped. It was quite windy out, but just fine to get a nice long walk in. When we got back, Tyson was patiently waiting for me on the kitchen counter to turn his sink on. After I got his water for him, Toby and I went outside for a little bit. We came back in and Morgan was ready for some attention next! This evening it still hadn't started raining yet, so we quickly got on our way to hopefully get our full walk in. The dark clouds were rolling in, but we got to take our usual long walk. Tyson got his water again, while Morgan was busy pawing at the couch. I took Toby outside to play for a bit. But, we came right back in as soon as the June bugs were flocking to the patio! Yuck! Back inside, I pet Morgan for a little bit and got Toby his treat before it was time to go.

Bailey

This morning when I came to see Bailey it was just pouring rain! The backyard was already collecting standing water. Poor miss Bailey didn't want to go out in that! I don't blame her. She hopped off the patio once then went right back on and headed to the door, expecting a treat. I waited with her while she attempted to go out again a couple more times. Finally she braved the pouring rain and quickly did her business. I brought Bailey back inside for her breakfast, and of course a treat! She worked on her rawhide next to me. Then, she hopped up in her chair and rolled around a bit, being silly again. This evening the rain had been done for awhile when I came. It was pretty windy out, but actually quite nice. After Bailey finished her dinner, she and I sat outside on the patio for quite awhile. Later she came in and got her rawhide.

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

Today all three little ones zoomed out the back door. Roxy found a toy right away for us to play fetch with. Dilly hopped up on my lap for awhile and watched Roxy having fun! Roxy got to play fetch by herself for quite awhile. Biscuit was off exploring in the yard, keeping himself busy. I put the girls in their room and Biscuit in the kitchen when it was Bert's time to come out. She did some exploring herself. Then, she came to snuggle me. I think she knew it was my last visit. When I got up to go inside, she stood on her back legs and kept giving me hugs like, "No, please don't go!"  That made me sad, but I was happy to see them one last time and say my goodbyes. I sure will miss them!

Bailey

Tonight there were two rainbows outside when I came to see Bailey! I let her outside for a little bit. It was sprinkling out, so she did her business, then came back by me on the patio. We headed inside and she danced around, ready for dinner. After she polished off her bowl, she ran back to the kitchen and sang her "howrooroo" at me for a treat. I got her one, which she took to her chair to work on. When she finished she was being goofy and rolled around in the chair! We headed outside again later and she ran around in the rain a little. We came in again and I got her a couple more treats before I left.

Luke & Maycie

This afternoon I let Luke and Maycie out to play. Luckily the storms hadn't arrived yet, and it was pretty nice out. Luke wanted his ball right away, so I got it down for him. He didn't want to give it up at first, but eventually he wanted to play some fetch. One time I threw it and he didn't see where it went. It took him forever to find it! Maycie was busy exploring around the yard. Later, we headed in for them to eat their lunch. Once we got back outside, Luke played some more fetch. Maycie had found a big toad to play with! She kept chasing after it and barking at it. This evening it was raining out when I arrived. Luke got his ball and we started playing. Maycie disappeared in the darkness, exploring again. I saw her checking things out by the shed a few times. Luke decided to fake me out towards the end of our game of fetch. He'd drop the ball, "Here, ya go", then quickly grab it as I reached for it, "Haha! Gotcha!" They each got a carrot snack before I left. I checked on Spiketail too, and turned her light off for the night.

Toby, Tyson & Morgan

Today when I arrived, Tyson was right there to greet me. He followed me around until I turned on the sink for him! Toby was sprawled out on the bed, awaiting his belly rub. Since I knew bad weather was coming today, Toby and I went for our walk right away. It was nice weather out for the time being, so we got a nice long walk in. When we got back home, we spent the rest of the time playing in the backyard while we could. Toby and I chased each other around a bit, then he wandered off to explore. This evening, Toby was lounging in bed again. This time both kitties came running out to see me. Morgan was especially craving some attention! It was raining out tonight, so we weren't able to go for a walk again. I let Toby out long enough to do his business, then he came in for dinner. Afterwards, we played with some of his toys. I had him running circles around me! Morgan snuck in some attention time whenever Toby wasn't looking. Before I left I got Toby his long awaited cookie!

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

The cleaning gals were here this afternoon, so the boys got to play outside for a long time. They both came running to the fence, excited to see me! I went out back by them for awhile. Buddy was so snuggly today! He kept climbing in my lap and rubbing his face on my arms. Then he'd nudge my hand to pet him. Meanwhile, Jimmy was on the other side of me trying to get my attention as well! He kept taking breaks though, going off to go run laps along the fence with the neighbor chocolate lab. I got the boys each a cookie before I left.

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

This afternoon Roxy and Dilly were running circles around me as we made our way to the door. All three were fascinated with smelling me today! I must have had some other doggie smells on me. Soon they each wandered off to go play. Roxie found me a new toy to throw for her. Dilly was busy checking things out by the shed, and Biscuit was around the side of the house. Bert came outside once everyone was in their areas. She carried a toy around with her until she had to go potty. Afterwards she just wandered around. Then, she came by me and had to smell me too! Once it was time to go in, everyone got their snacks.
