Suzzie, Heiny, Quartz, Chocolate & Kitty Cat

It was such a gorgeous day today! The girls both ran up to the fence to say hi to me. Kitty was curled up in her spot on the couch again. Quartzie peeked around the corner and meowed at me to come turn his sink on! Chocolate was warm and cozy on the bed again, soaking up the sunshine coming through the window. I let the girls inside and spent some time by each of them. Today Kitty came by and sat in the laundry room while I was sitting with Suzzie. So, on my way to Heiny I stopped and pet her for a bit too. Heiny was loving up all the attention, pawing at me for more. On the way out, I stopped by Quartz again. He was now sprawled out on the bed, and inched closer to me. He got playful then and tried swatting at me as I pet him. Chocolate was still on the guest bed, enjoying the daylight. Miss Kitty was sitting in the front window as I was leaving, watching the birds eat from the feeders.

Cali

Today Cali did her somersaults by the door when I arrived. I got her new can of food and tended to her litterbox right away. When I returned to the living room, I had her chasing.a shoe string for a couple minutes. She got bored with that and was more interested in being a snuggly girl. I had brought my purse in and set it on the floor. She was obsessed with it! She kept rubbing her face on it for quite awhile. Later, she hopped up and snuggled in her chair. She swatted at her string a few times. I laid down on the floor at one point, which Cali loved! She walked around on my back and found the perfect spot to lay!

Suzzie, Heiny, Quartz, Chocolate & Kitty Cat

Heiny ran to the fence to see me right away. It took Suzzie a minute to get up and over to the fence as well, but she was just as excited, giving me her cute smiles. Kitty was snuggled up, all cozy on the back of the couch today. Quartz was waiting for me in his usual spot, ready for some attention. He meowed at me and rubbed his face in my hands. Chocolate was sunning herself on the bed in the guest bedroom. Once I let the girls inside, they were ready for their turn to be pet. Suzzie was even half climbing into my lap! Heiny laid next to me and would paw at me any time I stopped petting her to pet.one of the others. Not enough hands for everyone! Suzzie didn't like Kitty getting anywhere near her food dish today and growled at her. Kitty took that sign and stayed away, meowing sadly at me from the laundry room. I made sure she got plenty of love though! I visited with Quartz again when I went to shut the water off. Chocolate had moved to underneath the bed, so I just let her be. The girls went back outside when it was time and got their yummy treats!

Flax

This morning was a bit chilly out, but the sun was already warming things up. Flax and I started off on our walk right away. He decided to take a detour to visit the neighbor's house this morning. When he returned, he curled up on his bed for a bit as usual. Later, he got up and went to lay out in the grass and watch the birds and squirrels playing outside. This afternoon Flax was laying out in front of the house. He let out a few barks as I pulled in, then came over to greet me in my car. We headed inside so he could relax on his warm bed. He groaned as I scratched him on his back and side. I even got his little leg going! Flax followed me around before it was time to go, collecting his treats as quickly as I was setting them out for him! Tonight Flax woke up and went outside for awhile. He laid on his bed to enjoy the cool evening air before coming in for the night.

Suzzie, Heiny, Quartz, Chocolate & Kitty Cat

Today Kitty was just coming out of the kitchen and Quartz took off down the hall to wait for me when I got in. On my way to turn on his sink, I stopped to pet miss Chocolate, who was snuggled up in her pillows. Quartzie enjoyed some pets while he got a drink. Next I let the ladies inside, with Kitty on my heels. The girls were happy to get some love. Suzzie was a little ornary with Kitty today. She sure didn't want Kitty anywhere near her food dish, and kept curling her lip up at her. I stayed in there and kept a close eye on them. Kitty was just busy loving me up. She even did a big stretch off of my back! Heiny was looking for someone to clean her ears. She kept walking over to Kitty and putting her head down. Suzzie and Heiny took turns snuggling up with me until it was time to head back outside. They were so excited for their treat!

Flax

This morning Flax sat up and followed me outside. He took his walk around the pond, stopping here and there to sniff at things. He stepped into the water to get a quick drink before heading back up to the house. We sat outside for a bit, then I put his food and water out there. Next, I spread out some treats for him. This afternoon Flax was coming down the driveway to see me. We headed inside and he curled up on his bed. He started crying lightly, and I wasn't sure what was up. Then, it turned into a howl and he wanted to go back out! Later I realized some packages had been delivered. But, the wind, too, was howling this afternoon, so I think he was just singing along with it. Flax couldn't decide if he wanted to stay in or out, but eventually he came back in with me. It was getting chilly out with a cold front coming through, so I felt better with him inside the warm house. This evening it was snowing when I came!! I woke Flax up and let him go outside. Even he didn't want to stay out in the cold tonight. As soon as he finished, he wandered back into the house and snuggled up on his bed. I sat with him and scratched his back after I got his dinner ready. I noticed he scratched his face again today. He was busy rubbing his ears and getting his own.leg going. That made me laugh! Before I left I made sure to spread a bunch of treats around for him.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon Charlie chirped along with the door when I came in. I let the kiddos out of bed. Sugar was cozy, snuggled up under a blanket. She kept poking her nose out of a hole, but didn't want to come out! Finally she did and they all played outside for a bit. They came in and Jimmy hopped up on my lap, giving me kisses through my hair with his wet nose! This evening it had gotten very chilly with a cold front coming through. Needless to say, the pups didn't want to stay outside long! After they finished their dinner and meds, it was Sugar's turn to go out. Surprisingly, she didn't seem to mind it! She curled up on her bed, then just stared at me when I went to let her in. So, I let her stay out until she was ready to come inside. Jimmy brought me a toy and I threw that for him while Buddy worked on eating dry food. Everyone lined up in the kitchen for a treat before bed.

Flax

This morning Flax was a sleepyhead! It took him a little bit to get up at first. When he did, we made our way outside and started on our walk. We got quite a bit of rain over the past couple days, so there was a new little stream running through the grass. We crossed that, but I had to stay behind when Flax waded through the big stream! He wandered and sniffed around up there for awhile. He eventually made his way back home and curled up on his bed on the patio. He spent the rest of the morning outside. This afternoon we sat on the patio for a few minutes, then Flax was ready to head in. He sure has his routine down. We sat on his bed inside and he took a nap while I scratched his back. This evening Flax popped his head up from in the kitchen. He headed outside to do his business while I grabbed the mail. We sat out on the patio again for a long time and enjoyed the cool evening air. He knew when it was bedtime and followed me inside to get his dinner and treats.

Suzzie, Heiny, Quartz, Chocolate & Kitty Cat

Today Kitty was sitting where Boo always used to wait for me, ready to greet me as soon as I came in. She did a big stretch and started purring right away as I gave her a few pets. Chocolate was laying on the guest bed today, soaking up the warm sunshine coming in through the window. I gave her a long chin scratch before going to see Quartzie. He was waiting for me at his post by the faucet. I visited with him, then it was time to let the girls in! Miss Kitty helped me this time, gabbing away at me. She followed me to clean the main litter boxes, while the girls worked on dinner. Quartz enjoyed some more attention, peering down at me from the counter while I tended to that box, taking breaks to give him a pet. When I finished I sat in by Suzzie and was soon joined by Kitty and Heiny. I had to laugh as Kitty got snuggly with Suzzie at one point, laying behind her like she does behind me. She was so talkative today! The girls were excited for their attention as well. I called for Heiny once when she was making her rounds to her bowl. She suddenly came running down the hall, then plopped down with Suzzie and I.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon everyone raced out of their cages to wait for me at the back door. They all played outside for quite awhile this afternoon, since the sun was out. Jimmy went and sunned himself on the side of the house. Sugar did a little exploring, then ended up curling up on her bed. Buddy did his usual sniffing around all over the place. After awhile he wanted to go in, so I followed. He just wanted treats! He went to the treat door, did his little cry and pawed at the door repeatedly. I let the others in and they got to roam around the house the rest of the afternoon. This evening everyone came running up to see me, even Sugar! While we headed to the door, she veered off into her hideout room. The boys went potty quick, then it was time for dinner. Afterwards, they spent awhile outside again. Jimmy took off out the door barking, because he heard other pups barking! We came in and Jimmy got some fetch in before bedtime.
