Rusty, Ruby & Lance

Today the pups both came outside with me right away. It didn't take long before Ruby headed back inside. Rusty then carried his ball in as well. So, we went to the living room to visit with Lance a bit. I brought down his toys and we played. His little growls are so funny! Rusty and Ruby were both lounging on the couch. While we were playing, I heard Salem meowing down the hall. Lance kept stopping to look that way. Later, the pups and I returned to the backyard. It was another nice day. Rusty and I played some fetch until he got tired.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning Stormy was sitting in the sunshine coming in through the door. I gave her a pat on the head as I took their food to their room. When I came back out, I saw Sadi was sitting by the dining table. I took her to the bathroom to give her her medicine. I set her down by the food when we finished, but she turned around and started making her way to our spot in the living room. The girls both sat with me for some attention. Stormy was being a playful girl again. She kept rolling over and trying to grab at Sadi. After awhile I took Sadi back by the food. She ate a bit for me, then went to use the litter box all on her own.

This evening I saw the yummy snacks mom left for me. Thank you! Next, I saw Stormy was lounging on the back of the recliner. I pet her quick, then went to get Sadi. I gave her the evening meds she needed, then popped her in the litter box quick. She backed herself out since she didn't have to go. I refilled their food and water, then headed to the living room. I sat in the chair by Stormy and she hopped down to snuggle up in my lap. I noticed Sadi hadn't come out yet, so I went to get her. She was sitting in the hallway, not really seeming to hear me calling for her. I finally went and got her, since she seemed a bit disoriented. Once I started brushing her, she perked up and started purring. She sat there and enjoyed her pets. Meanwhile, Stormy was going crazy! She zoomed across the room and swatted at a mouse, then went to pounce on another. She batted them around and snuck up on them. She made me laugh.

Rusty, Ruby & Lance

This afternoon I let miss Ruby out and we all headed outside. It was another nice afternoon! Rusty and Ruby spent some time exploring again. We stayed out for awhile, until Ruby finally went in. So, we decided to go in and visit with Lance a bit. I found his feather toy first, and we played with that. Then, I got out his ball chaser toy. He sat and looked at it for a minute, then stuck a paw in now and again. He seemed more interested in his feather toy today. We played for quite awhile with that. He even let out a little growl once when he caught it! Haha! He jumped and flipped and chased around, having a blast. I bet he'll take a good nap! The pups and I went out again later. Rusty brought his ball over to me this time for a little fetch.

Noah & Harper

Both boys were peeking their noses around the door to see me today. I came in and they got so excited! It took a minute to get to the back door since they were hopping circles around me. Haha! We went out so they could have a quick potty break before lunch. Back inside, I fed them and they liked their bowls clean. It was nice out this afternoon, so we went back out for awhile. Noah went off to the middle of the yard to roll around in the grass. The boys stuck close so they could get some attention. I sat on the ground on the bricks in the sunlight for a bit, and they both came running over. They made me laugh! The boys were busy rubbing their faces on my and trying to sneak in some kisses. They took a break to wrestle around a bit. After awhile they settled, and Noah laid in the warm grass. We went in when Harper was ready. I gave the boys each a snack before I left.

This afternoon I let Ruby out and she went to get Rusty for me. They met me at the back door and we headed outside. It was so nice out! Rusty and Ruby had a blast exploring the yard for quite awhile. They were so busy sniffing around that Rusty wasn't even concerned with playing fetch. Chloe walked up to the gate while we were out there. I think maybe she was hoping I'd bring her some food! After awhile, Ruby headed inside. Rusty and I joined her not long after. Lance was happy to see me. He hopped in my lap for awhile and purred away. When he got down, he kept rubbing up against my legs. The pups and I went out again before I left, and this time Rusty and I got a few throws in.

Flax

This morning the boys were all snuggled in their bed. Boney had one paw resting on top of Flax's head. So cute. I got their breakfast ready and got them some fresh water. Boney was busy eating right away. I took some food out for Booty, then applied some ointment to Flax's cheek. It was looking a little more irritated today than it had been. When I came back out from feeding Mr. Fishy, I noticed out of the corner of my eye that Boney was playing by some leaves on the garage floor. Then, I also saw something was moving.... I went over to see what he had found. I thought it was a little mouse. I found something to catch him with. It was actually a little tiny mole! I took him outside and released him in the grass by the pasture. Boney came out to follow me, then he raced back inside to cuddle up with his buddy.

This afternoon I called for Rusty, while I let Ruby out. It took a few calls before he came running. Maybe he was looking for his ball. They both came outside with me. It was a drizzly day out, so I decided to skip on the fetch today. I didn't want him to drag in a bunch of mud! Ruby only went as far on the grass as she had to. Haha! We went inside to spend some time. Ruby was quite excited and was bouncing around! They both hopped up on the couch with me. Ruby enjoyed a long belly rub. She kept pawing at me to keep going! Rusty was doing his happy heiny dance. He collected all his toys and brought them in the living room. The little kitten had fun rolling a ball around. Then, he snuggled on my lap a bit. I got each of the pups a snack, since we stayed in. Little kitten was all about attacking everyone's legs today! Haha! First, he kept grabbing onto Rusty's back leg when he'd walk by. Next, was Ruby. Then, he was pouncing on my feet! Before I left, I made sure the pups went back outside for another potty break.

Flax

This morning I saw that Flax had polished off his food from last night. The boys were both sleeping. I woke Flax up and Boney had already did his yawn and stretches. Boney hopped up as soon as i got to the food bag, to get his breakfast. I took some food out for Booty, and saw the bowl was empty again. I called for him, but only Boney waltzed in the barn to see me. Flax came out as well, and wandered around in the rain a bit. He came back in and laid on his bed. I sat by him and applied some more ointment. Then, I pet him awhile. Boney came over when he finished eating. He was in a playful mood again this morning. He started rolling around next to Flax and then played with his tail! Flax scolded him, so he'd stop, but then the naughty kitty would go right back for it again! Haha. Flax had to scold him a couple more times, before he finally left him alone. This afternoon Flax wandered out to the car to greet me. He came inside with me as I checked on their water. Flax stood right up next to me to be pet a bit, before he went to lay down again. This evening Flax barked when I walked in, until I turned some lights on. He and Boney were curled up together. I opened a can of food for Flax and got his dinner ready. Boney was right there with his nose in it, checking it out. I got him a nice can that had some sardines in it. He sure liked that one too! Flax got up to eat a little, then came and stood up against me for a few scratches. Then, he decided he was hungry again and ate some more.
