Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Buddy met me at the door this afternoon. When I went in to let the other two out of their cages, Sugar stood up and was covered by the blanket. She made her little barking sounds and didn't want to come out right away! I tried to find her in there and finally she emerged. I let them all out (except Mattie), and Mattie laid down by the door. It was nice and sunny out when I came, so Jimmy was too busy playing to come back inside! I gave them all a treat when they came in. Buddy didn't want to go back in his cage for me, so I let him stay out again.

It was nice and sunny out for our walk today! I noticed the back door was cracked open, so I closed and locked it. I saw that Kota must have chewed up her collar! She was very good while I put her harness on, so it didn't take me as long as usual when she bounces around. I think today was the first time in awhile it was dry enough that Kota & Benny didn't get all muddy! Benny got excited when the mail truck drove past us, and then again when a large truck went by. Kota had loose stool today and she was squatting for quite awhile trying to go. When we got home Kota went right in her cage, had a drink and laid down. I pet her for a few minutes and I filled up their bowls before I left.

I let Kota and Benny go outside to go potty for a bit when I got there today. Kota went both and had solid stool. Kota ran a few laps around the yard. As soon as they were done they wanted to go back inside, so I got them all cleaned up. Benny started chasing Kota around the living room in circles. Then they both came running at me and Benny jumped in my lap while Kota sat next to me. They suddenly got this fascination with licking my clothes today! lol They especially liked my knee so I had a big wet spot there. After awhile Kota started to get very playful so she and Benny began wrestling and rolling all over the floor. I think Benny kept running to me so I'd save him! They both got a lot of tummy rubs and back scratches today and kept coming back for more!

I let Kota outside when I got there this afternoon. Benny was playing keep-away, running circles around the living room with his ball. Kota was not too happy that she was out and Benny was inside. I brought her back in and tried to catch sneaky little Benny! I almost had him a couple times when he would run past me, but he's just too quick! Eventually he decided he wanted to play fetch and brought me his ball, so I tricked him into going out. Kota ran out with him again and was just running like crazy in the backyard! She went potty again and her stool was pretty soft. I went over to check it and Kota zoomed past me and mud went flying! haha! I got them both all dried off when they came back inside. Benny and I played fetch for awhile while Kota sat by me and got her back scratched. I gave them both a treat before I left.

Everyone was very quiet when I came in today. Usually I say hi when I walk in and they all start barking. Mattie was sleeping in the bedroom instead of by the door. I let them all out and wiped all their paws when they were ready to come back inside. I decided to try and give Buddy little pieces of cheese and turkey without the pills to see if he would even take anything. He spit the cheese out right away, but he did take the turkey. He only took one pill with that and kept getting the other out. I used the pigz-in-blanket treat again and got him to take the other one. Sugar and Jimmy were very snuggly with me this morning. Mattie came over and sat by me too while I pet her. Jimmy was the only one who went willingly in his cage today. The other two scattered when they knew it was that time! Sugar actually ran over to the other bedroom that they used to stay in.

Kota & Benny were very excited to go for their walk today! Kota kept giving me hugs and was licking my face while I was trying to get the leashes and harness all hooked up. The snow on the sidewalks has all melted, but everything is all wet again. I was surprised that they didn't get too dirty today. A big delivery truck drove past us while we were walking and Benny tried to scare it away by running after it and barking! haha! He's so tough! He also did a handstand while peeing on a fire hydrant today. It was the funniest thing to see! He was standing on his front legs, one leg lifted in the normal position and he raised the other off the ground too. When we got back I got them all dried off. Kota was a very good girl for me and stood still until I was finished. She went right in her cage and wasn't too interested in eating anything today.

I switched with your mom this morning since traffic was bad due to the fog. I came and let everyone out for the morning. When they came back in this time it was Buddy that was trotting around with the little white teddy bear! I gave them all their pills, but had to work with Buddy a little. He sure didn't want anything this morning! I tried cheese first, then turkey, then bread. He took one pill with the bread then turned his nose at the others. So finally I grabbed one of the little pigz-in-blanket treats. I broke a little piece off and shoved the pills in there. He gingerly took it, but at least he finally ate it! I sat with them for a little bit and Sugar left and went to the door and started barking. I guess she had to go out again! No one wanted to go back in their cage today! Sugar and Jimmy both came in and sat in the blanket at the end of the bed. I picked them up and then they went in ok. Buddy was sitting on the couch guarding his treat. I tried to bribe him with another one, but he sure wasn't too happy with me! I was able to get him down off the couch so I could grab his treat, then he came willingly! lol

Buddy greeted me at the door tonight! I let the others out of their cage to go outside. Mattie slipped by the door and couldn't get herself back up. She was laying frog-legged so I had to help her get her back end off the ground. Poor girl! She seemed ok afterwards, so hopefully it was just because of the towel on the floor. When I let them back in, Jimmy came running up to me with his teddy! Later he was running circles around the living room with it and was shaking it around! I started giving them all their meds. I used the cheese tonight and after I gave Buddy his, he was standing up on my leg while I was giving Mattie hers, like he wanted more. He's so silly! Meanwhile, Sugar was telling me it was time for her treat! The little ones nibbled on some food before bedtime. Charlie was out roaming around on his cage, so I put him away before I left.

Dakota tipped her water bowl over today before I got to her cage to let her out. I got it all cleaned up and then we went out back to play. I think they were pretty upset at first that we weren't going for our walk, but the sidewalks were pretty well covered yet. I couldn't find Benny's pink ball, so I decided to make little snowballs and throw 'em for them. They loved it! I have never seen Kota jump so high before! They both would dart for them and search all over. Kota started looking up at the tree each time, maybe thinking that's where they went. The wind would blow every now and then, and small pieces of ice would fall from the tree. Kota and Benny would run over excitedly every time! Then they would both stare at me, waiting for the next snowball to chase. I had to laugh, Kota started chasing them into the snow piles and would bury her whole face in the snow! Believe it or not, they actually started to get pretty good at finding my snowballs and picking them out of the snow! Benny got pretty good at catching a few that I would throw too. If Kota would find one, she grabbed it out and would jump around and shake her head, then toss it and finally bite it to pieces! I think we all had a lot of fun today!!

Sierra & Koko

Sierra & Koko were ready to go this morning! Sierra ate all her food from the night before. I got their food ready and said hi to them for a bit. Sierra didn't even pick out her chicken pieces today, so I put her dishes in the bedroom again. They both were dancing around and waiting for me to finish cleaning up their potty pads so that we could play! Sierra started rolling around all over the floor while Koko went up on the bed. After I was finished we played with their lighty until it was time to go.
