Today Daisy was sitting up by the window. I got her food ready and she was already talking to me. She was pretty vocal today! Haha. I saw Figaro was at the door waiting for me. I scooped her box and got her some fresh food and water. She was busy following along and rubbing up against my legs. When Daisy was done eating, she was sitting at the gate meowing quite pitifully. I think she's ready for her people to return. Figaro played a little with her toy. After that, she decided to crawl in my lap and get some attention. She loves her chin scratches!

Rusty & Ruby
This afternoon I heard the pups coming in from outside. They were racing in to see who was home. I think I may have startled Ruby a bit! We were both coming around the corner of the kitchen at the same time. Haha. She was bouncing and running around the house being silly. I had them come back outside with me awhile. Rusty rolled around in the grass as usual and sunbathed for awhile. Ruby sat by me for attention most of the time. She laid down nearby to relax. She and I walked out to the grass for awhile so I could try to get her to go potty for me. She didn't go, but since they were already outside when I arrived, I took a chance, hoping she already did.
Winston
This afternoon Winston was just sitting quietly in his little bed. He came out and did some big stretches at the door before we got ready to go. We headed outside and he kept stopping to sniff at the steps. Wonder what he smelled? He peed for me a few times, but didn't have to do the other today. We took a long walk around. He spotted another pup and they were busy rrr-ing at each other for a bit. Haha. Eventually, we headed back. As soon as I sat down, Winston was bouncing all over and talking to me. He hopped across my lap to grab his orange monster toy. He was sure all about playing tug today! He kept doing his little bouncing backwards thing, making me laugh. We got a few throws in to play a little fetch too, before we moved on to his rope toy.
Eddie & Butler
This afternoon the boys were pretty excited when I let them out. I had to tell them to go outside and I'd be right there. They both hopped up on the table together to get closer and say hi. They're so silly. Eddie then ran out to the yard to roll around in the grass. The boys kept busy today. Neighbor dogs on all sides seemed to take turns coming outside. So as soon as they heard a bark, they would race over to that side of the fence. They eventually wore themselves out and returned to the cool tile floor inside. Butler took a little bribing to go into his bed today!
Oscar
My buddy was right at the door to greet me today. He walked alongside me to the back door, smooshing his face against my side as I pet him. He's so silly. He went to lounge in the grass awhile when he got out there. He moved to the opposite side later to watch some birds in the neighbor's yard. I wandered out to find the snake's shedding from the other day. I did and got rid of it for mom. ;) I got Oscar's frisbee after that and I tried to get him to play. I tossed it to him and he got a couple treats for his successful catches. I tossed it a little further away next time and he just watched it and laid down. He just wanted to be lazy today I guess! We did play tug with it later on and he was talking to me during. Haha. I got him some water for his dish outside and he got a drink from the hose. After that, he laid on the patio next to me and I pet him while he napped.

Rusty & Ruby
This afternoon I let Ruby out of her bed as she was dancing around in there. She went right outside and didn't even wait for us today! Rusty came running in the kitchen, then he ran back to the front room to grab his ball. We headed out to join Ruby. Today both pups lounged in the grass for awhile to soak up some sun. Ruby was trying to head back in when she'd had enough, and ended up wandering around on the patio a little while. Rusty and I got a few throws of his ball in today, then we all headed inside to cool off. The pups both went and sat in their spots in the front room.
Daisy & Figaro
This morning Daisy was sitting on the counter by the door. She hopped down right away when she heard me. She was acting a little ornery today and was talking sassy at me as she sat by the gate, waiting for her food. I gave her some space and delivered it, then she was fine. Figaro had been snoozing out on her chair. I went out to see her and she was in a lovey mood. She wasn't interested in her toy at first, she just wanted her chin scratches. She even climbed in my lap to sit with me awhile. Poor Daisy was inside watching and meowing at us. She'll be happy when mom and dad are home again. :)
Eddie & Butler
This afternoon I let the boys out and they both gave me a kiss before they ran outside. It was another nice and warm day out for them. The neighbor was out watering or using a hose in a pool or something. So the boys were both at the fence, watching very curiously. They took a break to lounge on the patio. As soon as they heard a noise, they were right back over there. Eventually, the boys went inside to cool off for awhile.
Winston
This afternoon Winston was at the gate waiting for me. He wandered out and lined up at the door, ready to go. We made our way outside and Winston got right to sniffing around. He took a few potty breaks and got all his business done. He continued to explore around the yard a bit. He let me know today when he was ready to go back in by heading down the hill towards the stairs. We got inside and he could hardly wait for me to take his harness off! He raced off to grab his orange guy. He shook that around and held still long enough for me to grab on, then went right to tugging! He's so silly. He wanted to play tug with his green bone, but that one is so hard to grab without me getting his little whiskers. I went and found his rope, while he took his green toy to his bed. We had fun playing with his rope the rest of the time.

Oscar
I got Oscar all riled up when I came in today! He was just so happy when I got there, I couldn't help but be happy too! I gave him some back scratches, then we made our way to the back door. As soon as he got out there, he found a nice sunny spot in the grass. He lounged around for awhile in different areas. He had the hiccups for a minute, which I couldn't help but giggle at. When they stopped, he rolled around in the grass, making silly sounds. "Ahhh this feels good!" The neighbor dog was getting all excited about the cows, so Oscar had to go to the fence to see what that was all about. His Boxer friend then came over to say hi. I got Oscar's frisbee out and threw it for him, which he just watched it land in the distance. Haha. As soon as I started to walk towards it, then he was ready to play. We played tug with that for awhile. Later, I noticed he was having fun with something in the grass. I went over to check out what it was, then he decided to pick it up and run away with it. It was a snake's shed skin! He kept running from me, so the only way I could get him to drop it was to go inside. Sneaky! Haha. We played inside for a little longer, then he got his snack.
