Jimmy, Sugar, Buddy & Charlie

This afternoon all the babies were bouncing up and down happily in their beds. I let them all go play outside while I checked out the house. Everything was fine. The kiddos didn't stay out real long since it was wet out. They had all huddled together on their bed to wait for me to let them in. This evening Jimmy and Buddy were running around excitedly when I showed up. I didn't see Sugar so I assumed she was off hiding somewhere. I let the boys out for a bit. They didn't take long because it was cold and wet outside. It was time for their meds and Sugar came out for her snack. After that, Sugar wanted to go out, so I let her. She didn't want to come back in for awhile. I opened the door and she was sitting on the little doggie bed and staring at me like "Just a little bit longer." Once she came back in, I sat with the three of them in the kitchen while they took turns eating and coming to give me kisses. At one point, I could have sworn I heard Charlie bark!

Luke, Maycie, Chuck & Spiketail

The pups were excited to get outside when I arrived this evening. I let them go out to do their business, then I went to see Spiketail. She was resting on her branch up by her heat lamp. Back outside, Luke was ready to play some fetch! I found a ball for him and got him racing for it right away. Maycie was bouncing up and down at my feet to say hi. Eventually, she wandered off to do some exploring. I had to really look to see where she was sometimes, since she blends in with the darkness! Luke kept coming by and squishing his ball at me, in sort of a teasing manner. He would put it down and quickly snatch it back up before I could grab it! Once in awhile he would let me, then I could throw it for him.

Harley, Wyatt, Zoey, Tut & Jack

This morning I came in and fed everyone. It was a little chilly out, so Tut stayed in at first. After breakfast, Harley kept warm by fetching me her soccer ball from either end of the yard. Wyatt and Zoey hung out on the patio chairs. Wyatt always makes me laugh when he digs at the cushing to fluff it up for himself! As I was letting the pups back inside, Tut decided to venture out for the morning. This afternoon I was greeted by Tut rolling around in the driveway. I stopped to pet him for a minute before going in to see the pups. It was another nice afternoon for them to play outside! Harley brought me a tennis ball, so we played a little fetch with that. Sometimes Wyatt would steal it, then he'd run off to the corner to try and bury it! Harley knew and would run over by him, so he'd give up and just carry it around everywhere with him. Zoey was content just relaxing in the sunshine. She and Harley wrestled around together later on. Tut appeared while they were doing that, then all three chased after him! He went back into the patio to steer clear. At one point he hopped up on top of the kennel in there, shaking it loudly, which made Harley jump! Tonight Tut meowed at me from under the dining table and followed us all outside. It was still pretty nice out this evening, but you could feel the temperature starting to drop, since some storms may be moving in later. Harley and Wyatt did some chasing around for a bit. Zoey curled up on her chair on the patio. Tut wandered over to me for a little attention until the others got jealous and took over. Harley got her big soccer ball for me later and I kicked that around for her for quite a bit. For the last little bit of time, I sat in the chair and snuggled up with Zoey. Tut decided to stay out this evening, so both kitties are out wandering.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon I let the boys outside and went to look for Sugar again. This time she was balled up in a blanket in the other cage! She rolled over onto her back and did a big stretch. She gave me that same, "Do I have to?" look like she did yesterday! Finally she came out with me and joined the boys, lounging on the side of the house. This evening all three were doing the potty dance for me! They ran to the door and zoomed outside to do their business. Buddy was first in and waited in the kitchen while I got things ready. After everyone finished, they all went back outside some more to enjoy the evening before it gets all rainy tomorrow.

Miranda

Today Miranda met me by the door and did a big stretch quick, before following me to the back door. Outside she sat by me for a little back scratch. Then, she went to do her business. It was nice out, so she curled up in the grass for a few minutes before we headed in. She hopped on the couch while I filled her water dish. Then, she tilted her head back to look at me. So cute!

Harley, Wyatt, Zoey, Tut & Jack

This morning the pups quickly scarfed down their food and were ready to play. I worked on scooping the yard while they did their business. I had Harley go get her soccer ball for me, then she and I played fetch the rest of the time. Zoey sat on the top of all the piled up cushions and watched for awhile. Wyatt was keeping himself busy chewing on the kong. He later brought it into the patio and curled up on a chair with it. This afternoon was nice and warm out! Tut came out with us and just sat and enjoyed the warm sun shining down on him for awhile. Harley and Wyatt did a little exploring. Wyatt started gathering some toys together and then rolled around on them. What a goof! Zoey was perfectly content laying in the grass and sunning herself. This evening Tut wandered outside with us again for awhile. Harley kept me busy most of the time this evening, kicking her ball around for her. Wyatt had his kong and was protecting it from Harley stealing it... even though she had no intentions of doing so! Zoey curled up on her chair and Tut sat on top of the grill and watched us. I visited with Zoey for a little bit before bedtime. She happily gave me lots of kisses as she snuggled up with me!

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon I let the boys outside when I arrived. I went back inside to look for miss Sugar. I saw a little lump in the blankets in one of their kennels. Soon her little nose peeked out! She slowly made her way out of the blanket, then laid back on her side, "Do I have to?". She came racing to the back door with me. The pups all enjoyed some time lounging in the warm sunshine. Today they even got a little toasty and started panting! Once they were warm, they moved to the shade and snuggled up on their bed. This evening the boys came running to me to go outside after saying hi. Sugar actually ran to the bedroom! She emerged quickly though, carrying a bone. After everyone came in and ate their potatoes, we spent some more time outside. It was still very comfortable out.

Buckley, Chloe, Tizzy, JR & Bootsie

Today Bootsie meowed hello at me while I let the pups out. They ran their laps as usual, then swung by me to say hi. JR snuggled up with me for awhile, as the others were busy checking out the trees. Today was nice and warm outside. Chloe and Tizzy laid in the shade after awhile to cool off. Buck kept cool by splashing water around in the water bin! He came over and visited me too, burying his head in my lap as I scratched his back. I got up to go grab a toy to throw for JR, which got everyone so excited they all started howling! They're so silly! I threw the toy a few times. They all chased after it, but only JR was lucky enough to get it. He would squeak squeak it as he sat there. He was a good boy and even shared the toy with Tizzy for awhile. Soon it was time to head inside, so they all waited while I got their snacks ready. Bootsie was lounging in the chair when we got back. JR jumped up there with him, disturbing his comfy spot. So, Bootsie climbed up to the back of the chair and curled up to continue his nap.

Zeus, Baby & Xena

As soon as I walked in the door, the puppies started barking and whining to get out of their kennels. I let them out and Zeus had to give me his routine hug. I guided them both to the backdoor and I let them join Baby. Zeus obviously wanted the first five minutes of attention all to himself. He wandered off to go potty, then the other two got their chance to get some love in. A couple minutes later, Zeus started barking and I looked around, and here was Xena right by my feet. The silly little girl escaped somehow. I put her back behind the fence so I could see where she got out. Sure enough, she crawled right under the fence again. I put a block in front of the hole and that kept her in for a little while, but it didn't take her long to find another way to escape. I just let her sit on my lap for a bit. Zeus wasn't happy about it. He was very jealous, so I tried to keep him occupied at the same time. That way he wouldn't be upset, and it worked perfectly.

Miranda

This afternoon Miranda didn't waste any time. She saw me come in the door and ran for the backdoor as fast as she could. I let her outside and then she started bouncing up beside me to get my attention. I pet her for a bit, then she ran and went potty quick. Then she went to hunt down one of her toys, while I looked for the other. She saw me holding one and instantly dropped hers, waiting for me to throw it. That went on for a little while until she seemed tired, then she just layed down in the grass for a breather.
