Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This morning everyone was excited to get outside, all dancing around at the back door. They each went and did their business, then quickly lined up at the door. I gave the medications first, then they each got some veggies and rice to eat. Afterwards, I played some fetch with Jimmy, while Sugar and Buddy took turns snuggling up with me. Buddy buried his face in my arm while I scratched his back. He soon climbed up to the top of the couch to curl up for awhile. This afternoon all three pups went outside. It was actually pretty nice out! They went to the side of the house to curl up in the sunlight. I let them spend the afternoon loose in the house. When I arrived this evening, the boys greeted me at the door. All three pooches ran outside while I got their evening meds ready. They came in and each licked their plate clean. Jimmy started zooming around and around the living room, running laps! Then, he got a game of fetch in with his favorite Santa paws squeaky bone. Buddy climbed up onto the couch and stood over my shoulders giving me lots and lots of kisses as I sat on the floor! Sugar wanted to go sit outside for a bit. Everyone got a treat before bedtime.

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

Today the pups barked again, then bounced around in the kitchen until I let them out. Roxie was quite the snuggle bug today! As soon as I got outside, she was jumping up against my legs for attention. I sat down and gave her a good long pet. She's such a sweetie! Dilly and Biscuit were roaming around the yard since it was pretty nice out today. Biscuit kept coming around to check that I was still there, and of course, to get a little scratch while he was there! Dilly was having fun running from one side of the yard to the other again, along with exploring under the shed. I gave Roxy and Bert both equal time to play outside today. Roxy happily came in with me and curled up in her bed for a bit. Bert came zooming out, with a ball in her mouth, happily dancing around! She came out and visited with me a bit before she went off to do her own exploring. Everyone came in when it was time, and they all got a yummy snack.

Miranda

This afternoon Miranda waited to see who was coming in, then quickly made her way to the back door. It was actually pretty nice out today! She sat by me first and got a good heiny and back scratch. Then, she wandered off to go potty. She came right back and lounged on the patio until I asked where her toy was. She went into the yard to get one, then we played tug of war until it was time to go back in.

Wilma, Fezzik & Nikkos

Tonight the boys started bouncing up and down in their beds, singing away when I walked in! Wilma came right up to me too. As soon as I let them out, they were giving me big bear hugs! I let all three out potty right away. When Wilma was ready to come in, I let them all in so the boys could eat. They both huddled around the same bowl, taking turns to take bites. When they finished, both pups climbed halfway on my lap and were attacking me with kisses! We went outside again for a little while. Wilma snuggled up on her bed and stayed in the warm house. It was drizzling outside, so Neekers decided he wanted to go back in. I wiped all their paws, which Neekers complained about. The boys each picked a spot and curled up for awhile. We went outside again later. The boys started to get excited about something on the other side of the back fence. I grabbed the flashlight, but couldn't see what they were looking at, so I rounded them up and got them inside just in case. Fezzi really wanted to go back out and get it! They got to go back out again for awhile after cookie time. They came in and were sleepy just in time for bed. Even with it raining outside, they didn't get muddy at all tonight. I was happy to see them and get lots of kisses tonight!

Jimmy, Sugar, Buddy & Charlie

This evening Jimmy and Buddy greeted me at the door, jumping up and down, wanting to go outside. Sugar was stowed away under the bed. As soon as I got the boys meds ready, she came running. The boys took their meds and shortly after they got into a little fight. I broke it up, and they both stared at me wagging their tails, so it must not have been too serious of a disagreement. I separated the two food bowls so they wouldn't fight again. Buddy was happy about that. They chowed down until bedtime. They all raced to their beds so they could get their long awaited treats.

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxie

All the puppies started barking when I came to the door this afternoon. Dilly immediately began bouncing off the floor as if she had springs in her little legs! I let Dilly, Bert & Biscuit outside to potty right away. Dilly seemed to love it out there! She went zooming from one side of the yard to the other. Bert and Biscuit would chase around as well, right on her heels. Biscuit soon got chilly and wanted to head back in. The snow was just sticking to his poor little feet! I put Bert in her room, then let Roxie out for her turn. She went potty, then came in and hopped on the couch with me! She smelled me for a bit, then was ready to go back to bed. Bert was more than happy to come back out to play! We stayed inside for a little bit, since the little ones were chilly. Bert snuggled up on one side and Dilly on the other, both thoroughly enjoying tummy rubs! Biscuit kept bringing me a toy to toss for him. He would race and slide over to catch it! Then he would give the toy a good shake with his mouth. Before I put everyone back in their rooms, I let them all have one more chance to go out potty.

Miranda

Miranda stopped me at the doorway to smell me for a bit this afternoon. I had just come from some other dog's house, so she could smell them on me! We headed outside and she did her business as soon as she hit the grass. I didn't think she was going to stay out very long, but then she ended up wandering around awhile. She was busy sniffing at the cold white stuff all over the grass! She went in her usual spot and laid down. Surprisingly, she didn't want to come in! I had to go out and get her, then she finally trotted inside with me. I gave her a good heiny scratch before I left.

Jager & Trixie

This afternoon Trixie was still snoozing on her back in her bed when I got in. I had Jager lay down for me too, then I let them out. I grabbed their leashes and they did a little happy dance around me in the kitchen! We then went on our way. Jager did a great job on his walk! He listened very well. We took a nice stroll through the neighborhood, then we headed back home. I let them go out back so they could go potty. Jager wasted no time and then was ready to come in and play! Trixie wandered around and sniffed by the fence at the neighbor dogs. Jager showed me one of his toys, so I tossed that for him until she was ready to come in. Since we had a bit of time left and we warmed up a little, I asked if they wanted to go again! They got just as excited as the first time. We took another little walk around the neighborhood. When we got back, I played a little fetch with Jager. Meanwhile, Trixie was laying at my side, thoroughly enjoying a belly rub! Soon it was time to go back to bed, so I had them do a few tricks for some treats before they went back in.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon I let the kiddos outside. They didn't stay out real long, not wanting to be in the cold. We came inside for awhile. Buddy worked on some lunch while Jimmy played fetch. Sugar nibbled on a little food too, then went to chew on a bone. I let them each out once more before I left. This evening everyone went out and they stayed out for a little bit. Buddy was first to come in. After they got their meds and potatoes, Jimmy and Sugar went back out to play a little. Buddy was busy working on his dinner. Once they came in, Jimmy snuggled up with me a bit. Buddy curled up with a bone on his bed by the fireplace. Jimmy was being a little booger tonight! He kept teasing Buddy, trying to go after his bone. So Buddy would growl at him, then pick up and move somewhere else. Later, all the pups went back outside again before bed.

Miranda

This afternoon Miranda barely said hi to me before she was making her way to the back door. She knows the routine! She stopped into the bedroom quick on the way to grab a toy to bring outside. She ran to the back of the yard and laid down with her toy a bit. I found another one to throw for her, which she raced after! She didn't want to go inside at first. We chased each other around the yard, then she was satisfied enough to come in!
