Sophie & Roxy

Today I came to visit the girls and they were up at the gate to see who was home. I opened the door and they came racing in to say hi. I got them their dinner and refilled their food bin. The girls came and sat by me on the couch for a few pets and kisses. Then, it was time to eat! The ladies ate well, then found their spots for nap time. I went out back with them for a little while after that. It wasn't too bad out there today in the shade, so I let them stay outside. I got them their snacks before I left. Sophie and Roxy both went up to the gate again to see me off.

Noell & Navi

This morning I came in and both girls greeted me in the kitchen. They tagged along while I got them their food and water. Navi was talking away to me! Haha. I scooped their box, then the girls led me to the living room. Navi had some fun leaping and chasing after her mouse toy. Next, I got the laser light out. Noell went and hid down the hall around the corner so she could sneak attack it! Navi did her little chirping meow when she'd take her turn to stalk the light. The girls both came out to the patio when it was time for me to go turn the water off outside.

Bella & Chico

This morning I came in and let the pups out. We sat inside for a minute to say hi after they did their business. Then, I joined them out back. It was nice and warm out already, but not too hot just yet. Bella and Chico were busy roaming around and checking things out for awhile. Soon, they were lounging in the shade. Chico worked on some breakfast. This afternoon the pups went out back to play. Chico was busy roaming the fenceline. Miss Bella hung out by me for some heiny scratches. She laid down in the shade next to me to relax awhile. Chico found a shady spot later on too. Soon, it was time to head in. I couldn't find the other kong for their peanut butter snacks, so they got cookies instead.

Today we had a much cooler start to the morning than we've had in awhile. The humidity had dropped today too, so there was barely a heat index over the actual temperature. Since it wasn't as hot today, I let the girls stay out all day. I came to visit them and they came inside when I arrived. The girls said hi, then worked on their dinner. They took turns snuggling up with me on the couch after they finished eating. Sophie sprawled out and laid on her back. Roxy eventually went to lounge on her chair. Later on, she laid on the bed. When it was time, I let them out with a yummy treat.

This morning the kitties were coming in from the patio to come say hi. Navi always comes to supervise while I get her breakfast ready. Noell helped me scoop the litter box. They have been good about using it again so far. The girls joined me in the living room when I finished with my stuff. Noell came over for some heiny scratches. Navi snuggled in my lap for a few minutes. Then, it was time for the laser! The girls zoomed all over and Navi tried jumping up the wall to catch it. Haha!

This morning I came in and Noell was in the dining room. I pet her hello. I heard Navi coming in from the patio. The girls followed along as I got their breakfast ready. Noell helped me get their litter box situated. I put her in right away and she did her business. The roomba was busy zooming around, and Navi was following it. Haha. I picked her up and put her in the box too. The girls kept a close eye on the vacuum today. Later on, we got the laser light out and the girls had some zooms around the living room too.

This morning I stopped by quick to let the ladies outside. They were happy to see me. Sophie took a little coaxing to come outside. She likes staying in the cool house! Haha. They spent the morning out back. We had some dark cloud cover earlier today, so that kept the temps lower than they predicted. It still got hot though, and with the humidity, the heat index was still over 100 later on. I came by around lunch to let the girls inside. We got their dinner ready and Sophie took her last pill. The girls ate, then curled up in their spots to relax and take naps. Later this evening I came back to let the girls back outside. Some rain and clouds were heading in, which helped bring the temps back down to a more comfortable level. I decided to let them stay out for the evening. They have been such good girls!

This morning Navi came into the kitchen to say hi. The girls waited by the door while I went and turned the water on. They helped me in the bathroom to get their breakfast. The girls snacked while I went to go scoop their "box". There really wasn't anything in there again, so I started to look around to see where they may be going. I found some poo on a rug, so I picked that up. I started typing an email to mom, then, while I was standing right there, Noell came and peed on it!! Naughty kitty! I took the rugs outside and discovered more poo was buried between them. So I guess that's where they've been going. Little stinkers. Haha. After that was all picked up, I met the girls in the living room. Noell came over for some pets and Navi snuggled up into my lap.

I guess with so much excitement yesterday, I forgot to do my post! Yesterday was super hot out in the afternoon, so I took the girls home with me to enjoy some AC (since their house had the AC broken). It was going to be way too hot for pups to be outdoors. They were such good girls! I went back later on to meet the repair guy. Once he got the air fixed, I gave it a little while to let the house cool down, then brought the girls back home. They stayed inside for the evening. This morning I came over to let them out to do their business. It wouldn't be super hot again until the afternoon, so I let them spend the morning outside. Around lunch time I came back and let them in. Yep, it was toasty out there, and only going to get hotter! At least the house was nice and cool now. The girls came in and ate their dinner. We hung out for awhile, then the girls got to stay nice and cool inside for the afternoon. Later, I came by to let them out for an evening potty break before bed.

Today I came in and opened the door. The girls were both relaxing on the patio in the shade. They hopped up when they heard the door and came in to see me. It sure was toasty outside today! But, it was really hot in the house today too. I went to check the thermostat to see what was up. I realized the AC wasn't working, so the girls and I went back outside. They'd eaten their dinner already while I was checking on things. It was hot outside too, but at least there was a nice breeze. The girls had fun out back today. Every few minutes there seemed to be a squirrel racing along the top of the back fence, as if taunting the girls. They'd race along after it. Then, they were sitting beneath the tree staring up at it, watching for more critters!
