Zues, Baby & Xena

The puppies started barking excitedly when I showed up this afternoon. I let Zues and Xena out of their kennels, then let them out back. I finally got them all to go in their side of the yard, so they could stretch their legs and go potty. Zues couldn't concentrate for the first five minutes because he was so excited to have my company. He stayed right next to the fence so I could give him plenty of attention. He finally went and took care of his business so the other two could come say hi to me. Then Baby started sniffing around the yard aimlessly. Xena kept trying to come see me and give me kisses, but Zues would get jealous and plow her out of the way. When it was time to go back in, I put them back in their beds and gave them a yummy treat.

Miranda

Miranda sleepily answered the door when I arrived today. She hopped up and half hugged me and half stretched. She yawned and trotted to the backdoor so I could let her out. We played some fetch for awhile, until she plopped down in the grass for a break. She stared at me across the yard, just waiting for me to toss one of her toys again. I threw them a few more times, then we headed inside to escape the cold.

Jezebel & Biscuit

This morning the pups were very surprised to see me. They barked a few times, but as soon as the treats came out, we were best friends again. I let them play outside for a bit. Jezebel kept coming over by me for some loving. She was so snuggly. They headed back inside for a quick drink, then decided to lounge on the couch. They both snuggled right up to me. Biscuit sat on my lap, giving me lots of kisses, and Jezebel rolled over on her back next to me so I would rub her tummy. I let them run around outside for a little again before I had to leave.

Frankie

This evening Frankie ran to see me. I gave her a hello hug, then she sat down so I could put on her leash and collar. We went out into the cold, and I took her to our usual spot, a nice and quiet area, where she wouldn't have any distractions. Once she was finished, we headed back inside. She sat down properly again so I could take off her leash. Then I gave her a treat. After that we relaxed in the living room and I gave her tons of attention. She loved getting her butt scratched so much, she would do a little dance. It was so cute!

Buckley, Chloe, Tizzy, JR & Bootsie

This afternoon, the pups went wild as soon as I let them out. They ran off in different directions, except Tizzy who couldn't stop jumping up by me demanding attention. I sat down in the grass while they all ran around and played. One at a time they would randomly come see me, slobber my face with kisses, and paw at me for attention. JR stayed by me the longest. He kept sniffing around and eating the grass. I kept telling him that was gross, but he didn't care. Chloe would come over and just sit with her face in my face and stare at me and whine. I guessed that was her own way of demanding attention. Buckley camped out in the corner of the yard, laying in the sun by himself. The others would start barking at the black dog next door, then he would join. When it was time to go in, I got everyone's toys and put some yummy peanut butter on them. They all followed me to the bedroom, single file. Bootsie was relaxing on the small kitty bed when we went in. I said a quick hello, then checked all their food and water before heading out.

Jager & Trixie

When I arrived this afternoon, both pups were all bundled up in their cages. I let them out back right away so they could go potty. When they were done, they came back over by me, wanting to go back in. I took a seat on the floor in the living room and Jager demanded attention. He kept grabbing my sleeve, begging me to pet him, not Trixie. I did my best to evenly distribute attention to both of them. Trixie just rolled over on her back, wanting a belly rub. Jager went and grabbed a toy, plopped down beside me, and started chewing away. Then they both got a treat before they had to go back outside.

Miranda

Miranda poked her head around the corner this afternoon to say hello. She hopped up to give me a hug, then raced me to the backdoor. We headed out into the cold and she grabbed her red toy. We played fetch for a bit, until she told me she was done, by flopping down in the grass, and hoarding both the toys. A little after that, we went back in so she could get a drink.

Jimmy, Sugar, Buddy & Charlie

This afternoon the pups and I played outside for a bit. It was a little cold, but they kept warm by running up and down along the fence and barking at the puppy next door. Jimmy would randomly come back over by me for some snuggling. This evening, I let the pups out right away. They lined up at the door when they were finished. Then it was time for the boys to take their meds. They licked their plates clean, then went and ate some dinner. I sat down in the living room with the boys while Sugar ate. They got into a little fight over a bone so I had to take it away. Jimmy snuggled up by me after and Buddy went over to eat some more. Then they all got a treat before bedtime.

Jimmy, Sugar, Buddy & Charlie

This afternoon, the pups and I went outside to enjoy the great weather. I sat down in the grass with Jimmy as he sunbathed. He randomly ran over with Buddy to say hi to the puppy next door. This evening, I let the pups out again. It was still pretty warm out, but it was really windy, so they quickly took care of their business then lined up by the door after. Once we were inside, the boys took their meds, then it was playtime. Jimmy played around with his stuffed animals. Buddy curled up on his bed with a bone again. Sugar wasn't as playful. She just layed down in the kitchen. Then they all took turns grabbing a bite to eat.

Butter

Butter met me at the door again this afternoon. She was whining she was so excited to see me, giving me so many kisses, I could barely get in the door! She kept trying to jump up and give me hugs, too. She was practically bouncing off the walls! I finally sat down with her and gave her plenty of attention, and that calmed her down a bit. It didn't stop her kisses, though. I pulled out the laser light and she pounced around, then went and ate quite a bit of her food for me. I was happy to see her eating something. I gave her a yummy treat after that, for being so good. She was sad to see me leave, but I promised her I would see her again soon.
