Caesar

This morning Caesar was laying in the same spot that I had left him last night. He got up when I came in and did a big stretch! He followed me into the kitchen and waited for his yummy breakfast. He nibbled away while I gave him his meds. We sat in our spot again and he got lots of attention. He rubbed his head against my knee while I pet him. He would leave every now and again to get another bite to eat. Then later he decided he wanted to curl up in his chair that he's not supposed to sit on! This evening Caesar came walking to me as I came in. There was a constant beeping sound since the power went out, but I figured it out and shut it off. Caesar got his meds, then he worked on his supper for a bit. Afterwards, he walked over to our spot, rolled to his side and waited for me to come pet him! I rubbed his back and pet his head until it was time to go.

Shelly, Dakota, Buddy, Clover, Mickey, Emma & Junior

This morning I let everyone out right away when I got there. Dakota and Buddy were just bouncing around outside! Shelly ran around for a bit too. I let Dakota lead the way around the yard. Little stinker... tried to sneak under the fence with me attached to the other end of his leash! I kept him away from the fence after that! I was talking to Shelly and Buddy must have heard me. All of a sudden, I saw him barreling towards me as fast as he could from the other end of the yard! He's so silly. Later I saw him carrying around a shingle he must have found. We played outside for most of the time this morning. Shelly was doing a little dance by the door and singing to me that she was ready to go in. We all headed in and they got their treats. I took a couple apples out to the horses this morning too. Junior was very curious and came right up to me after I went into the pasture. Emma came to investigate after she saw him crunching away on his snack. She let me pet her for a bit. I gave Mickey his too, but he was a little shy yet. This evening Shelly, Dakota and Buddy were able to spend most of the time outside since the rain had let up. Dakota kept trying to take us over to his spot in the fence and even cried when I wouldn't let him! I noticed a dog at two neighbors down. Maybe he's going to visit a friend? Buddy was running around with sticks and even tried to pull a huge branch out of the burn pile! He was having a blast running around. Shelly ran back and forth along the house a couple times, then sat by the gate and enjoyed the evening air. I went to fill the water trough and visited with the horses a little. No one really wanted to stay by me too long. But, when I walked back toward the hose, I noticed I had a shadow! Little Junior was following me, but would stop if I turned around. So curious! The pups all went inside to have their treats and dinner. I looked around and found Clover sleeping behind the couch! I visited with Clover, who just watched me, then put the pups to bed and gave them their bedtime snack.

Mandy & Aeryn

The girls came running around the corner of the house this evening when I called their names! It was so good to see them again! Mandy ran for the door, excited to enjoy some dinner! Once inside, Aeryn just wanted some love, while Mandy stopped by every few minutes in between dinner breaks for a few scratches! After Mandy finished her dinner, then it was Aeryn’s turn to eat and Mandy enjoyed some back scratches! When I arrived a few hours later, the girls met me at the front door. We played around in the living room with some toys, and took a few pictures of the girls. Aeryn loved the camera tonight and posed for a close-up! Then Mandy took off and raced around the couch, sped into the hallway and back around the couch again; it was hilarious! We then settled down for the night. I tucked them both in and gave some scratches goodnight! See you in the morning!

Caesar

Caesar was laying next to his favorite bed this evening when I came to see him. I pet him for a few minutes to say hi, then got his dinner out. He followed me, then sat by his bowl and worked on supper. I gave him his meds and he was such a trooper! He didn't even flinch. After I finished cleaning his litter box, I found him laying next to the table by the couch. When he saw me, he rolled over as if to say, "OK I'm ready for you to pet me now!". I sat and gave him some attention for the rest of our visit. He would take little breaks to walk over and grab a bite to eat. I told him good night and I'd be back to pet him some more in the morning!

Shelly, Dakota, Buddy, Clover, Mickey, Emma & Junior

The pups all started bouncing up and down when I came to see them today! I let Buddy out, leashed up Dakota and we all went outside. Dakota and I walked around the yard and said hi to the horses. They were all too busy eating! Buddy came running over and started messing around with Dakota. Those two wrestled around and even tried to get me to join in! Shelly did her business and explored for a little while until she was ready to head back inside. They each got some treats right away, which they were very excited for! Dakota worked on eating his dinner while Shelly and Buddy were getting their sides rubbed! They both came over and turned so I could get their sides and tummies! Buddy wanted all the attention and kept squeezing himself in between everyone! We went outside once more before bedtime and they each got a couple more snacks. I didn't get a chance to meet Clover yet, but maybe tomorrow!

Daisy & Casper

This morning Casper was wandering around the living room when I came to visit. I said hi, then he ventured down the hallway toward the bedrooms. I got their breakfast ready and cleaned their litter boxes. Daisy was nestled in her bed, just quietly watching me work. Later I fed the fish and visited with Casper some more before it was time to go.

Tyler, Emma, Lacey & Luke

I let Emma and Tyler out back to play right away today when I got there. Lacey curled up and tried to blend in with the laundry on the couch! I got their lunch ready next. Once I started doing that, Lacey decided to join me in the kitchen. I took her outside to go potty, then let the big pups inside. After lunch, Tyler and Emma went back out to enjoy the beautiful weather! Lacey snuggled up with me inside. She rolled over next to me and eventually worked her way up onto my lap. When it was time I let Tyler and Emma back inside. As I did, I noticed a big lump on the bed! I peeked under the blankets and sure enough, Luke was nice and cozy in there!

Peek-a-boo!

Buckley, Chloe, Tizzy & JR

Today Tizzy and JR were trying to give me hugs as we made our way down the hall. We went outside and they ran to their usual spot. This time there must have been a few squirrels out in the trees along the other side of the fence. They went from one end of the yard to the other! Buck was getting pretty warm out there, so he took breaks every now and again to lay in the shade. Other times he would hang out with me for some attention. We watched as the other three suddenly ran to the fence, side by side and all sat down at the same time. It was like our own little synchronized dancing show! I threw the ball for Buckley and everyone raced to the ball to get there first. But, no one grabbed it! They're so funny! I had them come in a few minutes early to get some water and cool down. They also got a couple treats while they were in the kitchen!

Tizzy's ears flipped over!

Dakota & Benny

This afternoon Benny was prancing around with his pink ball when I came in. Kota was giving me big kisses while I got Benny's leash on! It was a windy day today, so Kota was occupied watching all sorts of things floating by us. There were lots of people out this afternoon, enjoying the weather as well. We got a nice long walk in and headed home as they were getting tired. After a nice refreshing drink of water, they got to go play in the backyard for a little while. Both were too tired and decided to just curl up in the shade and relax.

Daisy & Casper

This morning I found Casper curled up on the dining table! He was soaking up the nice warm sunshine coming through the window. Ever since I discovered his hiding place, he seems to be out whenever I come now. I said hi to him for a little bit, then went to get their breakfast ready. Miss Daisy watched, as she was cozily snuggled up in bed bed, while I filled their bowls and cleaned the litter boxes. Next, it was the fish's turn to eat! They all swam to the top and gave me their fish kisses until the food landed in the water.
