Maycie & Luke

This morning after breakfast we all went out in the backyard to play. Luke was ready for his game of fetch! Maycie took his ball this morning and had him chasing around again. When she was making a circle around the pool a big black cricket hopped out in front of her. She immediately dropped the ball, crouched down and followed it! It was pretty hot out this morning already, so even Luke took breaks on his own in the shade. I have been keeping their bowls outside filled with water since they are running around so much out there. I make Luke take it easy once in awhile too in this heat, otherwise I don't think he'd ever stop! Tonight we got some more fetch in. Maycie found a little stick that I threw for her too. Once in awhile she'd chase after Luke and grab at his ankles! After Luke got the ball, he made a couple big circles, drop his ball and started sniffing around like maybe he found something... but then he'd pick his ball back up and come trotting back for me to throw it again. Maycie was rolling around in the grass tonight. One time she laid down and her front half disappeared! She must have been checking out one of the holes out back.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon I let everybody out. Sugar and Buddy got a drink before coming outside. Jimmy spent most of the time in the corner by the storage bin. He sure knows there's something back there! Sugar sat out in the sun for a little bit, then moved under the tree for some shade. Poor Buddy's allergies seemed to be bothering him today. He kept itching and chewing at himself. He was coughing a little bit this afternoon too. Everyone spent some time over by me too before we all went back inside.

Maycie, Luke & Chuck

This morning after they went potty, they had their breakfast right away. I paid a visit to Chuck this morning. He was hungry too! He was following my hand around as I got his breakfast out for him. I could hear Maycie and Luke were both finished and ready to go play! Maycie was teasing Luke again and stole his ball from him. At one point I though she was going to bury it! Tonight they started barking as they heard me come through the door. They were anxious to get out and play some more! Maycie jumped up a few times to give me some kisses. She stole Luke's ball again on him, but didn't keep it and tease him as long. He was barking at me like he wanted me to do something! I tried but she'd pick it up and run from me too!

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon the boys went to play outside for a little bit. Buddy brought out a little rawhide, so he laid in the grass and chewed on that for a bit. Jimmy thought he found something in the corner and started scratching at the storage bin! Buddy came right over to help. I moved it to see what they were excited about, but all I could see moving was a little caterpillar! When we went back in Buddy had some lunch. He started digging in the bowl, then I'm not sure what he was doing but it sounded like he was singing back and forth with Charlie! Tonight everybody went out to go potty quick before they had their supper. Jimmy actually turned his nose up at the cheese tonight! He never gives me issues, but I think he already knew I had the good stuff up on the counter! Everyone played outside some more after they were done eating.

Harvey

Today I let Harvey go potty right away, then he was ready to come back inside. It was very hot out today! He was a lazy boy this afternoon for a little while and just wanted to lay down. He started to get itchy again today and when he was finished trying to get them all himself, he came over by me so I'd scratch his back and belly. Then he was ready to play! He chased his tennis ball around in the living room, then rolled around and chewed on his rope. I grabbed one end and we played some tug-of-war. We went back outside again before it was time to go. He crawled around behind the bushes on the side of the house! After, he stood in the corner again and waited for his doggy friends on the other side of the fence, but they weren't outside.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Tonight everyone was ready to go outside for me when I got there. Jimmy came and sat in my lap for a little bit before running off to the corner of the yard to check things out with Buddy. When Sugar was ready to go back in, I had the boys come in for supper and their meds. I let the boys play out in the backyard again when they were finished. Sugar and I snuggled by the couch. Oh just fyi, there is a big black wasp-looking thing making a brown tubular nest in the top corner by the patio door!

Maycie & Luke

This morning after Maycie and Luke went outside to go potty, they came back in for breakfast. They were busy eating while I went out and watered the plants. Luke made sure to keep his ball close the whole time. He finished his food before Maycie did, and he just couldn't wait to get outside to play! We all went outside again for awhile. Maycie wandered around while we played fetch. When it was time to go in, Luke followed me into the garage and we waited for Maycie. Just as she was walking in, Luke quickly ran out. Then he came back in and Maycie went out! They kept switching back and forth on me a few times until I finally grabbed Maycie's collar and made her stay by me. So funny! Tonight Luke was jumping up and down ready for some fetch outside. After I threw the ball a couple times, Maycie decided to steal the ball from Luke! She made him chase her all around the yard. He was not a happy camper! She stole it a couple other times in between her exploration around the shed and fence.

Jerrie

This morning it was cloudy again and Jerrie was sitting on his middle tier just watching out the window. It started to rain just after I got there. He had some fun with his toys after I left yesterday! They were all scattered in the hallway today. Jerrie got brushed for a little bit, then we snuggled on the floor for a long time. He laid next to me and rubbed his face against my forehead. He would walk around me and make sure that he made a visit to each of my hands to get pet, then he'd come back and lay down.

Harvey

Today Harvey and I went outside to play right away. I brought out a tennis ball and he kicked it around a couple times. He was ready to go back inside, and was much more playful then. He picked up his red and white rope toy and started to roll around on the floor with it! He chewed on that for a little while, then would crouch down with his heiny in the air trying to get me to play with him. He seemed pretty itchy today, so I gave him a good back scratch and tummy rub. He was doing a little dance with his back legs for me while I itched him! We went back outside again and this time I brought out his long black rope toy. He grabbed one end and I had the other, and we ran and chased all over the yard. He stopped at the corner of the fence because he could hear the neighbor dogs. They were barking and he just leaned over closely and listened with his little tail wagging!

It feels like forever since I've seen my little buddies! I let them all out when I got there. Sugar went in her spot under the bed right away. Did you just turn Buddy's cage sideways recently? It seemed like he didn't know where the door was. Jimmy ran in by him and said "C'mon Buddy, this way - let's go play outside!". The boys played outside for a bit this afternoon. Jimmy came and snuggled with me for a few minutes before they went exploring around the yard!
