Suzie, Katie & Blackie

This morning Blackie met me in the back room and waited while I gave the girls their breakfast. Next, it was his turn. Suzie was barking when I first got in, but Katie was actually quiet. Katie came in by me and got a couple treats while we waited for Blackie to finish. I waited until Suzie calmed down a bit, then I got them excited by grabbing the leashes! We went for a nice long walk this morning. When we got home, then Blackie got his snuggle time. This evening Blackie was excited to see me. He worked on his dinner while I sat with him. Suzie just still isn't too sure about me. She was barking when I got there and had Katie going for a minute. But then Katie came over to see me and quieted down. I walked into the living room and sat on the floor. Then, without grabbing the leashes yet, I asked if the girls wanted to go for a walk. That got them excited! At least they love me when I walk them! We took a nice stroll this evening since it was still very nice out. When we got home, Blackie and Katie snuggled up with me on the couch until it was time to go.

Suzie, Katie & Blackie

Blackie came to meet me at the door this morning. He followed me around until he got his breakfast. The girls barked at me a little bit while I sat with him. Katie came up to me, expecting a treat in my hand. When she didn't get one, she ran back in the living room. As soon as Blackie was finished, I grabbed the leashes. Katie took no time at all to run up and get hers on! It took Suzie a couple tries before I could catch her long enough to hook her up. Meanwhile, Blackie was jumping in my lap, "Take me! I'll go!". We took a nice long walk this morning. The sun was nice and warm! We saw some other pups out walking as well. Once we got back home and I unhooked them both, everyone raced for my lap when I sat down. Blackie was even standing up against me to try and get closer than the girls. He is used to getting all the attention! We started hearing a beeping sound that was freaking them out a little, so I went on the hunt for it. It was one of the smoke detectors on the table (without removable batteries). So, I took it into the back room and placed it between a couple towels, so they couldn't hear it anymore. Suzie was attached to my leg the whole time as I was wandering around! Katie, who had taken to hiding, emerged after the sound was gone to snuggle up with us a little longer. Tonight was simply gorgeous out yet. I came in to see Blackie in the back room. He followed me to get his dinner. The girls barked a bit, I think more just out of habit than anything. Katie came and sat with me and got pet right away. She barked a couple times while I pet her, in response to Suzie's barks. After Blackie was done, I grabbed the leashes again. They were so excited they were crying! They both raced over to get their leash on, and away we went. Tonight after we got home, everyone piled on the couch with me. I even got kisses from all three! All was quiet until I got up to leave. Suzzie started in right away haha! Katie started with her initially, but she stopped and was quiet after. She even walked me to the door, so I pet her for a couple more minutes before I left.

Frankie

Frankie was sitting right inside the door when I arrived today. She started wagging her tail immediately and sat still so I could slip her leash and collar on. Then we headed outside. She quickly took care of her business, although she went straight to sniffing around excitedly afterwards. I let her do her thing for awhile, until more cars started to pull in the parking lot. Then we headed back in, just to be on the safe side.  Once inside, I gave her a couple chicken treats. She was so happy, she devoured them instantly. Then we both took a seat so I could give her some hugs and back scratches.

Cali

Today Cali greeted me with her usual crashing onto the floor and rolling around. She followed me around this afternoon and plopped down to roll over nearby, wherever I happened to be! It only took a glance in her direction for her to get going. That made me laugh! She was very lovey today, rubbing up against everything. After awhile she decided to curl up in her chair and relax. Cali kept disappearing down the hallway until I would call her back. One time I followed along with her and she was going to go sit in the window in the back room by her kitty tree. I can't blame her. It was gorgeous outside! She kept chirping every time she would see a bird fly by.

Jerrie & Kimmie

Today Jerrie was curled up on his favorite chair when I walked in. I said hi to him, then Kimmie popped out from behind the curtain, jumping up onto the kitty tree! She followed me around again today and helped me change their water in the bathroom. After I was finished, I went back in by Jerrie, with Kimmie following. Jerrie enjoyed a nice long brushing, while Kimmie sat in the window. When he was finished, Kimmie got her turn to play. She chased after my fingers or the strings on my sweatshirt! We had fun until it was time to go.

Daisy & Casper

This morning I gathered the food bowls as usual. Daisy was snuggled up in her little bed in the bathroom. I cleaned boxes and then fed the fish next. After I was done, miss Daisy had finally gotten up to go work on her food a little. I went to go find Casper again, starting where I had found him yesterday. He decided to switch it up again today and was back in his normal spot in the closet!

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon was another beautiful day for Sugar, Buddy and Jimmy to spend some time outside. They all raced out of their cages to the back door. We all sat on the side of the house again today. Buddy and Sugar came to get some attention from me before they curled up by each other in the sun. Buddy gave me a couple more kisses on the cheek! Jimmy laid in the exact same spot as yesterday. Tonight was still so nice out. I let the boys out potty while I got their dinner and meds ready. After everyone finished, we all went outside. We spent the rest of our time out there until bedtime. They had some fun exploring and visiting with the neighbor dogs. Then, they all cuddled up on their bed and enjoyed the beautiful evening.

Suzzie, Heiny, Quartz, Chocolate & Kitty Cat

Today Kitty was peeking at me from the corner of the kitchen, while Quartz was doing the same from the bedroom. As soon as I headed his way, he bolted to wait for me at the sink. Miss Chocolate was sitting pretty on the guest bed, loving up that sunshine. It appears someone had some fun yesterday... the kitty tree was knocked over. I moved the little wooden flower pot it was leaning on so I could lean it against the wall instead. Too high for me to reach to get it back up! I gave Chocolate a long chin scratch before going to see the girls. I sat out by Heiny, with Kitty wandering around by us. Then, it was Suzzie's turn! Heiny and Kitty followed me to visit with her. Suzzie snuggled her face on my lap for a little while, as Heiny was busy nudging her head under my arms for attention too. Kitty was rubbing up on my back and the kitty litter bag next to me. Just not enough hands for everyone. When I was leaving today, I saw the girls race to the fence to bark at two dogs that were running around loose.

Cali

Today miss Cali was right at the door to greet me as usual. She rolled around in the kitchen while I got her food together. After I finished with my things, I sat in the living room with Cali. She had fun chasing after her string for a little bit. Soon, she climbed up into her chair to relax. She still had some fun with her string up there though! I had to laugh because I noticed her ears would twitch forward every time I moved it a little bit. Cali curled up on my back for awhile today, then got down to go nibble on some more of her food. Before I left she was snuggled back up in her chair and cleaning her face with her paws.

Jerrie & Kimmie

Both Jerrie and Kimmie were lounging on their kitty tree today when I got in. Kimmie was at the top, doing a big stretch before she hopped down to see me. She followed me around as I took care or their things. She even stopped me in the hallway, blocking my path with another stretch. "You can pet me if you want...." I gave her a quick little scratch on the chin before going to the laundry room. When I finished I cleaned Jerrie's eyes out. He was such a good boy! He wandered off into the bedroom for a bit. I played with Kimmie for awhile before it was time to go.
