Charlie

When I got inside the house tonight I found little Charlie hiding under the bed meowing away. I spent a little time petting him under there. He rolled around and swung his paws playfully at my fingers. After saying hi, I went and filled up his food bowl and changed his water right away.  Then, I got his canned food ready and got that put out for him to snack on.

Prissy & Ally

Prissy was sitting in the living room today and started talking to me when she saw me. She was happy to get pet for a little while! Later, she wandered off into the dining room. I followed her and we found Ally peering out at me from under one of the chairs. She sniffed at me and let me pet her one time before she went into the living room. I followed again and found both girls sitting in there waiting for me. Prissy wandered off again shortly after. Ally was acting a little more shy than usual today. She hid next to the couch for awhile. Eventually she couldn't stand it anymore and had to come over to me for her attention! Then, of course, she was loving it up. She purred constantly and even rubbed her face on the books laying on the floor. She had to make sure I was petting her with both hands at all times! Silly girl.

Ursa

A familiar bark welcomed me tonight! It was so good to see Ursa again; I missed her! She ran around the house and almost knocked me over! I gave her some love and then it was outside to go potty! We stayed outside for a little bit, but then she was ready for dinner! She gobbled up her food and water and then wanted to go and run around outside again! So, we found her ball and played a little fetch and then back inside we went! Ursa then went to the closet door as if to say, "I'm ready for a treat"! I made her pose for a cute picture before I gave her the yummy treat! We played inside for a little bit longer and then it was time for me to go! She barked a goodbye - see you tomorrow!

Izzy, Daisy, Toby & Fish

Daisy and Toby greeted me outside with a few welcome barks! Then inside, Izzy met me at the garage door, already purring! She lead me to her room and meowed softly when I filled her water dish. Izzy was a thirsty little girl! We found a few toys and played for a little bit in the room. Then it was out to see Daisy and Toby, who came running from the other garage to say hello! Both were a little unsure of me and didn't want to get too close! So, I decided to walk out to the garage and opened the door. They still were a little weary, but after a few minutes, Toby came in. Daisy hid in the dog house until she followed me into the garage with a piece of cheese! We were happy they got inside, as the storm was on it's way! Back inside, I said goodbye to Izzy and to the fish!

Zeus, Baxter & Zelda

Baxter met me at the door this evening. He helped me go find Zeus since he wasn't coming to my calling his name. We found him sleeping in the front room. He slowly got to his feet and we all went outside. He seems to be moving a lot slower than I last saw him, poor old boy. But he sure is a happy guy, especially when he gets his ears rubbed! I got Baxter's drops in and got him out before he started shaking his head. He stretched as he walked toward me, then stretched a little bit further to paw at my legs for me to pet him! I went to fill their food bowl and miss Zelda came into the garage to say hi. I closed the garage so she stays nice and warm for the night. The boys and I stayed outside a little longer since it was still kind of nice out. When we went in they took turns having some supper while the other got ear rubs and back scratches!

Dakota & Benny

Yesterday Kota and Benny were excited to go for their walk. After I got their leashes put on, Kota stood on her hind legs to check out the new wreath hanging on the front door! It was very nice out. They actually got hot on their long walk! It was pretty quiet though. Not too many dogs were out for Benny to say hi to. Today was much cooler than yesterday, so they were much more comfortable. Benny showed me his ball while I got his collar on, and he even snuck it outside on me! We took our new longer route that we've been doing lately and Benny saw lots of new friends! He was super excited about that. Kota went both on our walk today and had normal stool.

Caleb & Charlie

Caleb was happy to see me this afternoon! He immediately rolled over when I let him out for a belly rub. He was almost permanently attached to my leg the rest of the way to the backyard! He went potty quick, then gave me a big bear hug. We went inside to go find little brother Charlie. They goofed around for a bit, then moved into the kitchen. Charlie hopped up on one of the chairs and hung off of it, swinging his paws at Caleb. It was so nice out, so Caleb and I played outside some more. We tugged back and forth with he snake toy, then chased after the big purple ball. Charlie was content watching us. Back inside, Caleb and I played fetch with some of his toys. Once in awhile Charlie would zoom over from the table and sneak attack Caleb! Charlie even joined in, swatting at the toys or sitting nearby and watching it fly overhead. One time he sat on his hind legs and tried to catch the ball with both front paws! Either it knocked him over or he chickened out when Caleb came barreling directly at him. It was hilarious!

Dakota

I missed my Benny boy today, since he didn't come running up to see me. I hope he gets better soon, poor little itchy boy. Kota was happy to get out and go for our walk this afternoon. She talked to me the whole time until we got going! We took an even longer walk today and it was so nice out. She met another person in the neighborhood that said she was the most beautiful dog he'd ever seen! He pet her for a second and she gave him kisses for the compliment. She stopped to stare at Benny's friends, like something was different this time... no Benny boy! She even hopped along where she usually does with Benny at his favorite houses. She got to run around the backyard for a couple minutes after we got home.

Dakota & Benny

This afternoon Benny did a big stretch when I came in the door, "OK, now I'm ready!". I got them both leashed up and away we went. Benny decided to have some fun jumping around in a pile of leaves! He nearly disappeared! We took a little detour on our route today and went the furthest we have so far. They were excited to see that we were going a different way they hadn't been before! We passed by a little girl outside with her mom. She got so excited when she saw the puppies!

Dakota & Benny

Today we had a gorgeous day out for a long walk. It was quiet out again, but Benny had fun trying to chase after cars that passed by us. Some leaves were blowing around that they chased after. There was even a bird that swooped down next to us and under a parked car. Kota tried so hard to go after it! When we got home Kota and Benny got to spend a little extra time out in the backyard to play. Kota was pooped from the walk and running around, so she lounged comfortably in the shade.
