Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This morning I let the boys out potty while I got their meds together. I went straight for the Beneful today instead of messing around with other methods. Sugar emerged from the bedroom and was ready for her yummy food! Jimmy ate all of his food and meds with no problems, but Buddy decided to leave two pills in his dish again. I got out a couple little piece of meat from the bowl Sugar was eating out of and mushed the pills into that. Buddy ate one for me, then said "No-way!" to the other. He wouldn't let me open his mouth, but I was able to squish it in through his front teeth! haha! Little booger :o) Charlie was just gabbing up a storm while I was there! I'm not sure what he was saying, but he was just chatting away. The pups all played outside after breakfast. Buddy was digging frantically under one of the tomato pots. He came over by me and his whole face was brown! Later Jimmy decided to help out by pawing at the pot too!

Flax

Flax was standing up on the couch to greet me when I got in the house this morning! :)  We started out on a walk right away. He decided he wanted to go for a long walk all the way around the pond and then around some other areas.  After the walk we didn't have a lot of time left, but we went inside and I got his food and water so he could have his breakfast.  He ate while I put some more treats out for him.  When he was finished, we sat in the living room for a little bit and he got his back scratching in before I left. He will be happy to see you all!

Flax

This morning Flax and I took a long walk. He actually was running on ahead of me today, showing me where he wanted to go! After awhile we headed back up to the house and sat out in the patio. Flax curled up on his bed and enjoyed the nice fresh air. He decided he wanted me to get his itchies again, so he got up and sat right at my feet. We went back inside so he could have his breakfast while I scattered his treats around the house. Tonight we went outside right away and Flax did his business. We didn't go for as long of a walk as usual. The neighbors had a bunch of people over, and Flax kept trying to go next door to see what was going on. I went to get him and had him follow me the other direction for awhile. But he was too interested in all the fun next door! We went and sat in the patio since it was nice out. Flax laid on his bed for a little bit then stood by me for his attention, switching sides every now and again. The whole time he kept listening to the noises and perking his ears up. Later we went in so he could eat his supper. He followed me around as I put out his treats and got working on them before I was finished!

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This morning I let Buddy and Jimmy outside right away. Sugar didn't want to come out until I got some yummy food ready for them! Buddy and Jimmy both didn't want to take their meds for me, turning their noses up at it. I got out a container of the Beneful and mixed them in that. Jimmy found one and spit it out, so I mixed it back in. Then Buddy decided he was finished when there was still a half of a pill left. So I had to grab a piece of the food and try to get them both in his mouth. Little stinkers! haha! After they finally finished taking their meds for me, I had everyone go play outside. They got to play outside all morning. I came back this afternoon and they were ready to come back in. Sugar had some lunch, then went back in her room. Buddy curled up on his bed while Jimmy snuggled with me for awhile.

Jerrie

This morning Jerrie was sleeping in his usual spot and didn't even hear me come in! I noticed his little green kitty ball has been in different places each time I come. After I finished with everything I went in to see him and he was still snoozing away. I called him and his little head popped right up, then he jumped down to see me. Today we played with his little blue kong toy! He was rolling around and chasing after it for quite awhile. After he was done playing he got pet and brushed.

Dakota & Benny

This afternoon we took another nice long walk! Benny ran his laps around the living room when I came in, and Kota was talking to me as I got their leashes on. They were happily trotting along, stopping now and again to smell things. Kota chased after a few grasshoppers and was trying to pick up everything she saw today. She got a straw wrapper stuck on her nose for a little bit. haha! Benny was getting excited at his usual doggy friend's houses. When we got back they were both tired. Benny's hot spot wasn't bothering him at all on our walk today, so that's good!

Follow the leader... or just trying to stay in the shade?

Jerrie

This morning Jerrie was in his usual spot. There was a little black and white kitty in the backyard today! It was up by the patio, over by some of the flowers. As soon as I turned on the hose the little guy took off. Jerrie made his way down to see me again today after I finished taking care of my duties. He got brushed and pet for a long time. He scratched his chin on the brush again while I pet him. Today he was even rolling around on it! When I got up to leave, Jerrie started meowing at me and giving me his sad face, so I said 'Ok' and pet him a little longer. He sure knows how to do that well!

Flax

Flax was happy to see me when I got in this morning. He immediately came up to me with his tail wagging! We went outside right away and spent most of the visit walking around out in the back yard. After he went potty and we walked around awhile, he decided it was time to go back in. I got him some food and fresh water. We went outside again after he ate and drank to sit out on the back patio, while he got a bunch of attention. He was giving me lots of kisses today! We walked around a bit more before I left so he could go potty one more time. This afternoon I met the groomer out at the house. I let Flax outside, then he saw the truck, turned right around and headed for the back of the house! She told me that's what Flax does every time she comes. Silly boy! After he was finished I came back to let him inside again. He smells so nice and clean! I gave him a couple extra treats for being such a good boy. Tonight Flax only wanted to take a short walk around outside. He stood and watched me walk around for awhile, then he decided he was going back in! haha! He went to lay on his bed out in the patio, so I sat with him and pet him. We went inside so he could have some supper. Once he was finished he came and stood by me to get his back scratched. I got his little leg going like crazy, getting all his good itchy spots! He even would even turn around so I'd get the other side for him. "Ok, now this side!"

Flax

This morning Flax went to the wrong door to see me! I came in and said hi to him, then he started wagging his tail. We went outside and after he went potty we went for a nice long walk. He wandered along behind me and sniffed around at everything. We made our way back up to the house, and he still wanted to spend the nice cool morning outside. We sat out in the screened patio for awhile. Flax stood by me and got his back scratched for a long time. When we went in I got out more treats and placed them around the room. He got to work right away! Tonight Flax and I took another nice walk around the backyard. He took his own little roundabout way behind me, checking things out as he went. When he was finished walking around he headed back toward the house. We hung outside again for a little bit before going in so he could eat his supper. He has been eating very well for me. He laid down on his bed when he was finished and got some more attention. Before I left I gave him some more yummy treats around the house!

Jerrie

This morning Jerrie was basking in the sunlight in his usual spot on the top of his perch. When I came in to see him, he jumped from the very top all the way to the floor! That's a big jump! He came down and stretched himself out so I could brush him. He grabbed the brush from me and rubbed his face all over it. After awhile he got up and started walking circles around me, rubbing up against me and purring.
