Jimmy, Sugar, Buddy & Charlie

This afternoon was cloudy and quite dreary outside. The pups, needless to say, didn't stay outside long! We played inside instead. Jimmy had fun playing fetch and Buddy was busy eating some lunch. Sugar had wandered off to her room to snuggle up in her blankies. This evening the boys were bouncing up and down at my feet as I came in. All three ran outside to do their business. They came in and ate quick, then went back out for a little bit. Sugar stayed out the longest, not seeming to mind the cold too much. She soon came in and wandered off to chew on a bone. Jimmy brought over his squeaker for me to throw for him. I sat on the floor by Buddy and he buried his face in my arm and snuggled up for a minute. Then, he used me as a ladder again to crawl up to the couch! He climbed to the top and curled up. He got excited every time I stuck the toy in the air, right up by him, to throw for Jimmy. He never went to get it though! Before bed, everyone lined up in the kitchen for their snack.

Buckley, Chloe, Tizzy, JR & Bootsie

This afternoon the pups raced me to the back door. Before I opened it, Bootsie appeared, wanting to come in. I kept him outside with us, which later he didn't mind so much because he got all kinds of attention! It was a little chilly out this afternoon, but the dogs thought it was perfect for running! Buck came over and buried his face in my lap and stuck his heiny straight up in the air while I scratched his back! Bootsie was wandering around by his legs, trying to get my attention as well. Chloe went from tree to tree, standing up against it to see if there was anything up there. Their neighbor friend was out today, wearing a cute little coat! They had fun running over to say hi to him now and again. Bootsie was just loving me up. He kept walking under my legs and then rolling over to his side as I pet him. JR came for some scratching next. Tizzy sneak attacked him from behind and they both ran off chasing each other. Then, they started howling! Tizzy ran and jumped in my lap, howling right in my face like, "Come on, you gotta do it too!". They're so silly. When it was time, we all headed in and got them a treat and their peanut butter snacks.

Zeus, Zena & Baby

This afternoon I let Zeus and Zena out to join Baby for awhile. Zeus stood up against the gate as usual to say hi and get a few pets. Today even Baby joined him, so I kept them each occupied with a hand scratching their chins. Zena poked her head through the fence and waited for her turn. Later, she somehow found a way to sneak through! She came racing over to me and climbed in my lap for a few minutes. Zeus was jealous! He started running laps around the yard, then would hop on top of the dog house to see what was going on. I put her back in by the boys and she stayed in this time. Before we headed back in, I wiped off their paws quick. Zena munched on her kibble a little bit before they went back to bed.

Jimmy, Buddy, Sugar & Charlie

This afternoon I let the pups out of their kennels. They zoomed out and raced each other to the back door. I sat in the chair while they all quickly went potty. They all rejoined me at the same time, jumping up on my lap and giving me kisses. Buddy was the first to scratch at the door, so we went back inside. The rest of the time I sat in the kitchen with the boys. The only thing on Buddy's mind was treats. He was staring up at those duck treats and even started barking for me to give him one. He finally got one when I put them back to bed. This evening everyone was racing to the door to go outside. Surprisingly, Sugar was the first back in! She sat on her rug and waited for her snack. After dinner Jimmy and I played a little fetch. Buddy came bouncing over too, and snuggled up with me. He used me as a ladder to climb up to the back of the couch! He curled up and took a little snooze. Sugar waited in the kitchen for a bit, wanting her treats. I called her over and she snuggled up with me for a little bit too. Before bed, they all got their long awaited treats!

Miranda

Miranda greeted me with a whine and a yawn. I crouched down beside her and baby talked her. She flopped down and got so excited, demanding I pet her more. I stopped so she would go outside after that. It was a little glum outside, but she didn't mind. She walked around and took care of her business as usual. She ran over by me whenever she wanted her back scratched. She got so excited about that.

Miranda

Miranda is always such a cutie. When I first arrived, she yawned and stretched, then raced me to the backdoor. She would jump up excitedly and whine until I finally got to the door. I let her out and she immediately went potty for me. I praised her and she sat by my feet, eating up all the attention. I let her do her own thing this afternoon. She mainly just wanted to sunbathe, and I had no problem with that. It was so nice out, we couldn't complain.

Luke, Maycie, Chuck & Spiketail

This morning Luke and Maycie were very quiet when I got in. I almost thought maybe they were still sleeping! As soon as they saw me, they did their excited little dance at the door. I let them go romp in the backyard while I went in to see Spiketail. She was laying in the corner of the tank in the sand. It looked like she had made a little bed for herself. The sand was pushed into a shallow bowl around her. By the time I had gotten back to the dogs, they had become two very muddy puppies! I dried Maycie off as best I could with her wiggling all over the place. She's so silly! Luke didn't really want me to clean his paws today, so I just let him back inside.

Luke, Maycie, Chuck & Spiketail

This morning it was still quite wet kout from the rain. I let the pups out while I went to turn on the light for Spiketail. She was lounging on her perch, cozied up to her warm heat lamp. It looks as if she had shed a little overnight. Luke and Maycie were busy exploring when I got outside. Luke had found a big log to play with! He kept kicking and pawing it around in the grass. This afternoon I let Luke and Maycie out to play while I went in by Spiketail. I dropped her dinner in her cage and she wasn't in any hurry to eat. Finally she made her way down from her perch and began to snag her food with her quick little tongue. One little guy started climbing on her tail and then clung onto her belly. I got that one off, then she quickly ate it. She got her little bath, then I placed her back on her perch. I put some new Beardie Bites in for her to work on later. Next, I let the puppies in for their lunch. Soon they had licked their bowls clean. They went back outside again for a quick potty break before it was time to go. This evening Luke and Maycie were bouncing at the gate to go outside. I let them out and went to turn out the light for Spiketail. I went back outside with Luke and Maycie. Maycie kept bouncing up into my lap for some attention. Luke was happy playing with his new log toy. He pawed it around, then would carry it to a new spot in the yard and would do the same thing again! Before bed, I got them each a carrot snack.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon all the kiddos went outside for a little bit. They came in shortly after and worked on some lunch. Sugar and Jimmy wanted to go back out and this time Sugar relaxed on her bed a little longer to enjoy the cool air. This evening it didn't take long before Buddy was waiting at the door to come in. He munched on some food while I got their meds ready. Jimmy and Sugar were at the door shortly after as well. After they finished, Jimmy and Sugar took another quick potty break. Jimmy came in, found his toy and we played a game of fetch. Before it was time, I got them all a treat and left them out so they could welcome momma home!

Luke, Maycie, Chuck & Spiketail

This morning I was actually surprised it wasn't raining out yet when I arrived. The forecast had said it was going to rain overnight and throughout today. So, Luke and Maycie got to have some fun this morning. I let them outside quick, then went to wake Spiketail up. I turned on her daytime light and saw that she was comfortably resting on her perch. Outside, Luke started barking right away for a game of fetch. I got his ball out and had him running all over the place. Maycie said hi to me, then she wandered off to explore some more. This afternoon it was pretty well pouring outside. I let Luke and Maycie out to do their business. I went in by Spiketail to feed her lunch. She quickly gobbled up all her crunchy bugs! Then, she looked up at me, "Ok, I'm ready for my shower!". I gently picked her up and she clung onto my fingers. I spritzed her a few times, then placed her back in her bed. I got her some fresh water and some of her yummy Beardie Bites. Chuck got his lunch too. Next, I let the pooches back inside for their lunch. This evening I let Luke and Maycie out potty while I went to turn Spiketail's light off for bedtime. I swept up the laundry room a little, then headed out by the pups. I got Luke's ball for him, which was now thoroughly soaked from the rain. He got a few throws out of it. But then, he shook it around and it pretty much fell to pieces. I let him keep having his fun with half the ball until bedtime. Maycie was roaming around, checking things out as usual. She seemed convinced that something was hiding in the downspout! She had a little fun playing with some leaves on the porch as well. After they got inside for the night I got them each a carrot to snack on.
