This morning it was pouring rain outside. I let the pups out and grabbed two tennis balls right away. This time Luke grabbed them both so Maycie couldn't have any! We played fetch with two balls this morning. He would run after one, then race to the other one before Maycie could get it, and would stuff them both in his mouth. Maycie kept herself busy exploring the yard, with the occasional sneak attack to steal a ball. Then, she was playing with some worms on the patio! This afternoon it was still wet out. I let them out potty quick before dinner time. They quickly finished, then it was back out to play. I could see the mud flying up behind Luke as he ran! Macyie hopped in my lap and shared some of hers. Haha! I had the dogs stay in the garage for a few minutes before we went in. I grabbed the towel from the laundry room and tried to dry them off a bit too. This evening I was surprised to see dry dirt all over the floor. It looked like it just fell right off and dried up! While they got started playing outside, I swept it all up and tossed it back outside. We played some fetch again until it was bedtime. When we got in, they each got a carrot. Chuck got his dinner too!

Bella & Zoe
Bella was all curled up on the couch this morning when I arrived. Zoe was bouncing up and down behind her gate, wanting to go out. As soon as they realised it was raining, they were a little less excited to get out. They quickly went potty, then ran for the door. I kept them in the kitchen for a few minutes again so they could dry off some. I gave them their treats while they waited, to keep them busy. A little after that, I released them from the kitchen and they immediately started playing tag again, but they were both carrying a bone this time. This evening after the girls went potty, they started fighting over the sock monkey! Bella wanted to share it with me, but Zoe wanted it all to herself. Zoe wants, Zoe takes. She eventually won and smuggled it away to her bed. Then Bella kept putting her paws on my lap n whining. I kept asking her what she wanted but she would just keep giving me her paws. It was too cute!

Abbie, Guinevere, Sonny & Tabitha
Abbie quickly ran around the corner to see me this morning. I put on her collar and her little coat, then we headed out into the rain. She wanted to go back in right after because the rain was really cold on her little feet. We went back in and I started making all their food. I put out everyone's meals, left to give the bird some fresh water, and when I came back, Guinevere and Abbie had traded their meals! I quickly swapped them out, then they continued to chow down, but on their own food this time. Tabitha came and said hi to me after she had eaten. This afternoon, Abbie didn't come running right away. I called for her and she came out of the bedroom way at the end of the hall. She was probably keeping the birdie company. I put on her little jacket and we headed out. She went potty and stretched then ran back to the door. I left her coat on because she was shivering when we got back in. Then we got cozy on the couch and little Abbie fell asleep right next to me. This evening Abbie came running upto me, snorting from breathing so excitedly. She was too cute. After I took her potty, it was supper time. Sonny sat patiently in the kitchen waiting, while the other three sat right outside the laundry room. I gave everyone their food, but Abbie just sat and watched the kitties eat, waiting for them to walk away so she could have at it. She saw I was watching, then went to her food. Once the kitties were done, Abbie gladly licked their plates clean. After that, I sat on the couch and she hopped on my lap, facing me and giving me kisses every now and then.

Piglet, Echo, Zephyr, Tony & Chickens
This morning was raining when I arrived. I went in to get Echo and Zephyr their breakfast and clean their boxes. Outside, the chickens were all huddled in the coop still, nice and dry. Once I started spreading the scratch and lettuce, they all ran out to go eat. Piglet was laying by the door in the bedroom again. She automatically rolled to her side, "Belly rub please!". I scratched her tummy for awhile since I didn't think we would be outside long. I gave her a big kiss on the head and then we headed to the living room. It was still raining, so she definitely didn't want to stay out. I would've taken her anyway, but she didn't want to go. I took her on a short walk around the patio to the side of the house so she had a chance to go potty. This evening sweet Piglet met me at the door and was excited to see me. I think she was missing her walk from this morning, because she was crying a little when I was getting food ready for the chickens. I went out to feed them and tuck them in for the night. They were already inside and out of the wind again. Zephyr was sitting in the window by the back door when I returned. I asked Piglet if she was ready, then she came bouncing over by me. We went for a nice long walk since the rain had stopped. She seemed energetic, so I started to run with her. She just thought that was so much fun! At first she galloped next to me, then would stop in front of me and bark for a quick pet. After a little while, she led the way and set the pace. We ran the rest of the way back! Back inside, we sat by the kitchen and I gave her hugs and tummy scratches. As I was leaving, she thought she was coming with me! I told her I would love to, but I know mom would miss her way too much. Then I told her that mom and dad would be back soon! So, she went to sit by the window and watch for them to come home.

Zeus, Baxter, Zelda & Luna
This morning I saw miss Zelda curled up on a chair. Zeus and Baxter came out to see me right away, so I let them out. I went to get Luna up next, then we joined the boys outside. It was pouring rain, so Luna waited awhile before finally going out to do her business. She thought it was fun to drink the water gushing out from the downspout! Luna kept hugging Zeus and giving him kisses. Zeus had no problem wandering around in the rain. Baxter sat in the corner by the door, wanting to go back in. We headed inside for awhile. We sat in the front by the entrance. Luna rolled over onto her back, so I scratched her tummy. She was laying on her back, kicking both legs simultaneously! It was so funny! Baxter rolled around on the carpet and Zeus laid nearby. Zelda even joined us, sitting and watching at a safe distance. Luna worked on chewing her rawhide for a bit, before it was time to go back out. Zelda ran into the garage as I was leaving.

Buddy, Bruno, A.C., Angel & Aspen
This morning it was misting on and off when I arrived. Buddy came and snuggled up to me while I got Bruno leashed. I gave him a big hug! I got Bruno all bundled up, then we headed outside. The mist had stopped, so I thought we would go for our long walk. Bruno wasn't too sure at first, but then he finally was ready. We turned back when it started to rain. Suddenly, it started to downpour! We couldn't run very fast with Bruno's little legs, so I scooped him up. Buddy and I ran the rest of the way home! Buddy had a blast! I was laughing so hard. All three of us were completely soaked.Bruno ran around being silly once we got inside with his funny hairdo. I fed the kitties, then the boys. This afternoon the ground was very wet still, but the rain had let up. I got the boys ready and we were going to take another walk. This time, Bruno just did not want to go, so we headed back. Instead, we sat in the kitchen together while Bruno played fetch. Aspen came over and curled up next to me on my jacket. Eventually he worked his way onto my lap. He just purred away! Buddy came for another hug. He was snuggly today too. This evening I took the boys out to potty quick. Bruno worked on his supper while I cleaned litter boxes. Then, I sat by A.C. for awhile. A.C. hissed at both Aspen and Bruno any time they would try to steal my attention. Bruno played some fetch until it was time for bed.

Butterscotch, Marmalade & Sweet Pea
Sweet Pea and Butter both came to see me when I got in this morning. Marmalade waited until he heard the food again. After they finished, Butter took his meds. He's so good! I cleaned the boxes quick, then it was play time. I got a silly picture of Butter while he was meowing at me. It looks like he's singing! This evening it was Butter and Marmalade who were near the front door, awaiting my arrival. Everyone went and sat by their little name tag, while I got dinner ready. They know the routine! After they finished and I was done cleaning up, we played some more. I found the box of kitty toys and picked out a shoe string. Butter and Sweet Pea each took one end. They playfully swatted at the string as I moved it around! Marmalade sat in his usual spot and closely watched every movement of the string. I'm still waiting for him to suddenly come running some time!

Luke & Maycie
I let the kiddos outside as soon as I arrived this evening. Luke was already scanning my hands for a ball, as soon as he got out the door! I got him one and started our game of fetch. Maycie came and hopped in my lap for a bit. Later, she stole his ball one of the times I threw it for him. Luke just crouched down nearby and barked at her. So, I got him a new ball, which made them both happy! They ran in a big circle after each other, each carrying their own ball. When it was time to head in, I watched as Luke tried cramming both balls in his mouth! I laughed so hard! He didn't want to give them up either.
Zeus, Baxter, Zelda & Luna
Zelda was first to greet me this evening, right at the door. I pet her a bit, then let the pups inside. Luna is such a cutie! She gave me big hugs. The boys were happy to see me too, both coming up and rubbing their faces on my legs. I followed Luna around to make sure she stayed out of trouble. First thing she did was run to her room to get her big blue dog squeaky! I tossed that around for her a couple times. Baxter got working on supper, so I brought Luna to her room so she could eat too. Afterwards, we went back outside, just in case she needed to go potty again before bedtime. They all came back in, then I rounded up her toys to put in her bed.

Buddy, Bruno, A.C., Angel & Aspen
This morning I saw Angel sitting in the living room for a split second. She saw me, then ran for her hiding place under the couch. I got Bruno out, then he, Buddy and I went for our long morning walk. When we got back home, the kitties got their yummy food. A.C. was already waiting by the food bowl. Aspen was in the kitchen, so A.C. got a head start this time. This afternoon I came in to a leaky water heater. I found a pot to replace the little cup, which was quickly overflowing, and took the rug outside to hang dry. Buddy didn't like that at all. He wouldn't come in the laundry room and cried while I got Bruno ready, because he really wanted to go! I went up by him, attached his leash and got him to come with me. We went for a slightly shorter walk than usual, so I could get back to the leak. Aspen was curious, so he came and watched me! He and Bruno sat on the rug together. It was so cute! This evening I took the boys outside, then we came back in. I sat in the kitchen so Buddy could get some attention too. Aspen came and curled up on my jacket. He purred and rubbed up against my back, and loved every minute of being pet! Bruno ran off to get his duck. We played a long game of fetch with that in the kitchen.
