Chelsea

This morning Chelsea was happy to see me again, poking her head through the blinds. I said hello when I got in, then we headed to the kitchen. I noticed right away that she was still pretty sensitive on that shoulder. Poor baby! After she finished her breakfast, I could tell she wanted to go for our walk. I told her we couldn't go today, that she had to rest up some more. She seemed to understand and came to lay down in the living room with me. I rubbed her ears a bit as she buried her head in my lap. Then she rolled over so I could scratch her belly for her! I gave her a couple treats before it was time to go and told her mom and dad would be home soon.

Sadie & Harley

This morning the girls went potty as usual, then came in for breakfast. Today, they both ate right away, all the way to the bottom of their bowls! We had plenty of time to play afterwards. Harley was having a blast, going from toy to toy. She played with the snake toy, her wubba, a blue chewy toy and the blue squeaky ball! Sadie kept wandering around showing me her red ball. We played a little fetch until Harley stole it right out of her mouth! After Harley got bored with it, Sadie took it into the laundry room to bury it in the blankets. I laid on the floor with them and had little nosies poking through my hair to give me kisses! This evening was the opposite again. Neither Sadie nor Harley wanted to eat at first, they just wanted to play! Soon enough though, they settled down and both polished off their bowls. We played outside for a little bit since it was nice out. Then, we came in and they both got their games of fetch in.

Chelsea

This morning sweet Chelsea girl was dancing in the window, waiting for me to come in. She pranced ahead of me to the pantry door and nosed at her treats on the shelf while I got her breakfast. She quickly ate, then came and put her head on my lap. I gave her a big hug, then we headed into the kitchen to get her leash. It was a little bit on the chilly side this morning, but we still got our long walk in. Her Sheltie friends were outside barking hello as we passed by. After we got home, I went out back to get rid of her poo bag. Chelsea wandered out with me and started being goofy. She bounced and raced around, then would stop to see my reaction before doing it again! Unfortunately, I think she twinged something the last time. She was a bit gimpy after. Inside, I rubbed her leg and shoulder for awhile, in attempt to make her feel better. I felt bad, so I gave her an extra treat before I left. This evening, I could tell she was better, but still a little sore. I got her dinner for her, which she finished quickly. I wasn't going to walk her tonight, so as not to aggravate her leg more. Luckily, she knew we couldn't go and didn't cry to like usual. She just went and laid in the living room. I felt so bad, I know how much she loves her walks! Instead, she got lots of belly, ear and back rubs! She gave me hugs in return. She's such a sweetie pie! Hopefully she will be better enough in the morning to get our walk in.

Sadie & Harley

This morning the girls did their business, then came in for breakfast. Both girls were too interested in playing with their toys this morning. Then, the roles were switched this time. Harley ate just about every bite of her food in one sitting! Meanwhile, Sadie was too busy rolling her red ball around, trying to get me to play fetch with her, to eat. Finally, when she began to, Harley would stick her paw through the gate to try and get the ball! After Sadie was done, Harley bounced off and found her wubba to play with. Soon, she was playing tug with me with her snake, while Sadie kept me busy playing a game of fetch with her ball. This evening we played outside for a little bit when I arrived since it was so nice out! Sadie had brought a ball out with get, so she played a little fetch outside. Tonight neither one wanted to eat at all! Sadie just cried at me to let her out and Harley was off playing. I finally gave up and we all just played for awhile. Sadie took her ball and tried to bury it in her blankets in the laundry room. I had Harley zooming circles around me, chasing after her snake toy! They took another quick potty break outside, then we tried the whole eating dinner thing again. They must have worked up an appetite, because they both sat and polished off their bowls for me. Such good girls! Sadie snuggled up with me a little and Harley played some more before it was bedtime.

Chelsea

Tonight the blinds were flying from side to side as I grabbed the mail. Chelsea's little nose peeked through as I got up to the door. Then, she stood back and waited for me to come in! We gave each other a big hello and I gave her a hug. Then, it was off to the kitchen for her dinner. She helped me get it out, and even nosed at the treat bags to show me they were there. After she finished her food, she came over and put her head in my lap, looking up at me with big eyes. I asked if she wanted to take a walk, then she did her happy dance around the kitchen! We went for our usual walk tonight as it was still pretty nice out. When we got home, she got her glucosamine snack. Then, she plopped down in the living room. She would get up and give me a couple hugs. I gave her a good ear and belly rub. She jumped right up when it was time to go and sort of waited, giving me a "hurry up" look. She knew it was treat time!

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

This afternoon the three little ones ran around my legs all the way to the door. Roxy immediately stood in the grass and stared at me! I looked down and just happened to see that the ball was already right by me. Dilly had already wandered off to go check things out in the corner of the yard. She made her way over to the shed to look under that next. Biscuit and Roxy were busy racing back and forth for the ball. They were each coming back with it equally today. Later, even Dilly joined in and all three raced to catch it! Bert came outside for her turn and snuggled up with me for a minute. Then, she ran and snatched up her hog toy and pranced around with that! We came in a few minutes early since Biscuit was a little chilly in the wind. All three pups piled up on my lap, each trying to take over! When it was time, I rounded them up into the kitchen and got their treats for them.

Sadie & Harley

This morning the girls bounced around my legs as I walked in, saying hello. I let them go outside while I started getting their breakfast ready. When they had finished, they lined up at the door to come in and eat. Sadie wandered along with me to her room. Harley was full of energy this morning and was busy grabbing toys and jumping from chair to chair! When I got her to come by me for a minute we played our game and she ate about a quarter of her food. After racing off to try and get me to follow for play time, she realized I wasn't coming and ate a little more for me. We took a break from eating to play, so Sadie could come out. Before I left Harley and I did tried once more in the kitchen and she finished her food like a good girl. This evening we played outside for a few minutes before dinner. Sadie took a little bit to start her dinner tonight too, but she finished soon enough and was ready to come out and play! After Harley ate as much as she was going to for the moment, the girls and I played some fetch. They were keeping me busy, taking turns bringing up their toy. Sadie had her blue squeaky ball and Harley the snake. At one point, Sadie was trying to bury her ball in a blanket! It was so cute. Harley finished off her dinner later on and they both got their bedtime snack.

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

This afternoon I let the three little ones outside when I arrived. Dilly gave me a couple hello jumps before she wandered off. Roxy got her ball and had me throwing it for her right away! She and Biscuit were entertained with that for quite awhile. When it was Bert's turn, she came over to me for a hello hug. Then, she and Biscuit started messing around. They wrestled a little, then went racing around the yard together! When it was time to head in, Bert made me laugh. She went up to a food bowl and started pushing the kibbles around in a cirlcle, back and forth with her nose! My dog does that when she is trying to bury a bone.

Zeus, Zena & Baby

This afternoon Zeus and Zena went out to join Baby, who was waiting for us at the door. They went right into their side of the yard today. Baby was just loving up the sunshine! He laid out in the grass and I could tell he was getting sleepier, slowly tilting backwards. Finally, he flopped over and laid completely on his side! Ahhhh! Zeus was wandering over on the side of the house, with Zena supervising from under the ping pong table. As soon as they heard a dog come outside, they ran to the side of the fence to say hello!

Sadie & Harley

This morning the girls ran outside to do their business while I got breakfast ready. Sadie started eating a lot sooner than yesterday and she finished pretty quickly. Harley, on the other hand, was the total opposite today. She was much to excited to play to be interested in breakfast! I tried a few things, but she just didn't want to. I put her food up since Sadie was aching to get out by us. We sat in the living room to play a little. Harley started zooming around and around the room like it was a race track! Later we headed outside since it was pretty nice out and they played out there awhile. Harley kept sticking her head through the fence to look at something. When we headed in, I called Harley to the kitchen and we tried the food game I like to do with some dogs. That worked! I got her to eat a few kibbles with that, which got her hunger going enough to lick her bowl clean. Yay! Meanwhile, Sadie kept bringing me a ball to throw for her, which kept her occupied. Afterwards we played in the living room some more. Harley and I played tug with her snake toy. This evening the girls went out potty, then it was time for dinner. Sadie got working on hers right away. I started the food game with Harley, so she got interested in eating hers much earlier this evening. She got about half way, then stopped. The wind whooshing and howling outside kept making her think she was hearing someone at the front door. So, we took a break and got to the fun stuff! Later, I brought Harley into the kitchen and tried to get her eating again, which she did and cleaned up her bowl. The girls got to go outside once more and get their treat before bed.
