Flax

This morning it was misting and foggy out when I arrived. I let Flax outside while I went to retrieve the garbage can. As I was coming back, I saw he was making his way to visit the neighbor again! I waited for him and he came back shortly after he was finished saying hi. We sat out on the patio on his bed for the rest of the time. He wanted to stay outside, so I brought out his food and water, then spread around some snacks on the patio. He already was up and collecting them before I finished! This afternoon I saw Flax got up from his bed when I got inside. Then he started heading towards the front of the house, looking for me. I went on the patio and tried calling him back, but he must not have heard me. Next I checked the garage and finally the front door, where he was waiting to come in. Deja-vu? Haha! We sat on his bed inside since he'd had enough of the outdoors on this gloomy day. He relaxed while I scratched his back. He let out a groan, "That's the spot!". This evening Flax got up and wandered outside to do his business. He wandered around for a little while, then relaxed on his bed on the patio for awhile. Later, he was ready to come back in for the night. I got his dinner ready and set out more treats for him before I left.

Buckley, Chloe, Tizzy, JR & Bootsie

Today Bootsie looked so cute all curled up on the smallest bed on the floor. He sat quietly as the dogs all raced out of the room. Buck caught me off gaurd and gave me a big bear hug on his way past me! We all headed outside and they got right to taking their laps. Buck came and buried his face in my lap while he got a back and heiny scratch. Chloe spent most of her time sitting by the trailer, staring up into the tree. Everyone went racing to see the neighbor dog at the fence. They all started howling! It was so funny! Tizzy would take run-bys and tackle me so I'd pet her. She and JR then began wrestling and messing around with each other. Next, it was the boys turn! We headed in when it was time and they all sat for a bacon treat. While I got their peanut butter snacks, they helped themselves to a drink and quick bite to eat.

Suzzie, Heiny, Quartz, Chocolate & Kitty Cat

The girls ran up to the fence to see me today. I headed inside and saw miss Kitty Cat curled up in Chocolate's old spot on the back of the couch. Quartzie came down the hall to walk with me to his sink. Next I let the ladies inside. Suzzie laid down and Heiny went off to her dish to eat. I sat with Suzzie and she did her happy crawl over to me for some love. Heiny would come in too, and either lay down or circle Suzzie on her way out, as she grabbed a bite from Suzzie's bowl. I went to visit with each of the kitties for a bit. I found Chocolate under the pillows on the bed. She was happy to get a nice chin scratch. Quartz wandered around on the counter while I pet him. Miss Kitty stayed right where she was, sprawling out on the back of the couch while I gave her some attention. She followed me back by the girls, meowing and rubbing up against my back. When it was time, the girls headed back outside and enjoyed their treats. As I was leaving I saw Kitty sitting in the window. While I was taking her picture, I noticed a black and white kitty outside coming up to the window! He must have heard you were taking kitties in! Haha!

Miranda

This afternoon Miranda followed me to the back door. She hesitated to come out with me at first. But then, she ran out and gave me a big hug! She didn't want to go out in the wet grass again today, so only went long enough to go potty. We headed inside so she could find us a toy to play with. She grabbed her red bone and we had a fun game of tug. After awhile she laid next to me and enjoyed a back scratch. Of course, she kept a very close eye on her bone so I wouldn't get it! When we went inside she rolled over for a belly rub before I left.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon I let everyone outside for awhile. After she did her business, Sugar curled up on the bed by the door. The boys were busy exploring. Later, Jimmy ran and hopped on the pillow and snuggled up with Sugar for a bit. Buddy was wandering in the hole by the grill, looking for critters. This evening the boys ran to the door to see me. They went outside to play while I got their meds ready. When they came in, Sugar joined them right away to eat. Sugar took her turn outside when she finished. Jimmy and I played a long game of fetch with his toys tonight. I laugh every time listening to him gallop around the house! Buddy came over for some attention too. He found a bone, so of course Jimmy wanted it too, and I had to distract him with more fetch! When it was time everyone lined up for their bedtime snack.

Flax

This morning Flax was up and ready to go when I arrived. After we went outside, we started on our walk. Flax had other ideas though! He saw the neighbor was out turning the horses out to pasture. He got excited and made his way over to say hi! I followed him trying to get him to come back, but he didn't feel like it. I got to meet the neighbor though and had a nice chat with him, while Flax visited with the other dogs. After awhile, Flax and I headed back home. He went right for the pond and took a little dip! We then sat out in front for awhile until it was time to go. This afternoon I found Flax curled up on his bed on the back porch. He wandered right into the house and snuggled up on his other bed inside. He had the right idea staying inside this afternoon, because right after I left it began to rain and continued the rest of the night. This evening I let Flax outside while I took the garbage out. After he did his business, we sat out on the patio for awhile, sheltered from the rain. When he was ready we headed back in and he worked on dinner.

Miranda

This afternoon Miranda gave me a big hug when I got inside. She weaved her way around the couch, racing me to the door. After she tiptoed onto the wet grass just long and far enough to go potty, she ran and pounced on her toy! She brought it right over, placing the opposite end in my hand for a game of tug. She sure wasn't having any of this yucky wet weather and stayed on the patio as much as possible. We headed inside to refresh her water, then played one last game of tug before I left.

Flax

This morning Flax was laying out in the hallway when I woke him up. He got up and went outside with me right away. We went for a nice long stroll around the pond together. Then, he wandered back up to the house and curled up on his bed on the back porch. I sat with him and pet him for awhile. Flax would paw at me to keep scratching his head and back. Before I left he decided he wanted to come back inside for the morning. This afternoon Flax was up and ready to head outside again. I saw the horses were right by the fence, so we went over to say hi. They let me pet them while Flax did his business. When he was done, we went for another walk. We ended up back in the driveway and sat outside to enjoy the warmer weather. This time Flax stayed outside, so I got him his snacks and water dish set up out in the garage. This evening Flax and I were walking circles, never quite finding each other! When I arrived I thought I heard him barking in the garage. I went through the front and out to the garage, with no Flax to be seen. I stuck my head outside, hearing his barking again, this time sounding like it was coming from the back. After going out back and the barks fading, I went back out front again. Finally! There he was! He waltzed right in through the front door like, "I was looking for you everywhere!". He curled up on his bed while I got his dinner ready. Then, Flax enjoyed some more head and back scratched before bed.

Tyson & Morgan

Tyson came right up to the door to see me this morning. He followed me into the kitchen doing his cute little meow. I filled their food and water dishes, then cleaned the litter box quick. Morgan was pacing back and forth on the back of the couch. Tyson was happy to hop up and get a drink from the faucet for awhile. Meanwhile, I sat in the living room and gave Morgan attention. He kept walking back and forth, rubbing up against me. Then we had some static electricity going and would shock each other every time we touched! When Tyson was done drinking, I went to pet him for a bit too. When I started to scratch his chin, he did a somersault head first and rolled over, ending up belly side up! I made some whistling sounds like a bird and had Morgan running around all over looking for one. They're so funny! Tyson followed me to the door when it was time to go, not wanting me to stop scratching his chin.

Chelsea

This morning Chelsea girl was moving the blinds back and forth, then finally lifted them up with her head to see me! It was so cute. She followed me into the kitchen and inspected her food container to make sure I got the right amount. She quickly gobbled up her breakfast. Then she was doing her silly dance, "Can we go please? Can we? Can we?!". I grabbed her leash then started heading towards the door. Chelsea walked through my legs, then sat in front of me to make sure I hooked her up and brought her along! We went for a nice long walk again this morning. When we got home, we laid in the living room and Chelsea enjoyed a long belly rub. She was getting anxious for her treat time! She would sit up and start crying to me, then would bury her head in my arms. I finally asked if she was ready, then she jumped up and raced for the kitchen. Yummy treats! I turned her music on as she was working on her snack.
