Dakota & Benny

Benny was zooming around the living room carrying his little green ball today. Kota gave me lots of kisses and woo-woos as I got them hooked up and ready to go. It was just perfect out this afternoon, nice and sunny and not too hot or cold. We got our nice long route in. A little boy coming out of his house shouted to his mom, "Mommy! Look at the cute puppies!". Kota kept stopping and looking back at him. Benny said hi to his friends and stared down cars that passed by. Kota was quite the little bird hunter and even scared me! She saw one through a fence next to us, jumped at it, made it fly up and me jump all at the same time! Once we got home they both got a drink and laid down to relax.

Sophie & Roxy

The girls did their little dance by the gate when I pulled in this afternoon. Roxy shot in through the door as soon as I opened it a crack. Guess what she wanted to do! She had to wait a little bit though, while I refilled their water jug. They were patiently waiting for me in the living room! I grabbed the keychain and the excitement started. Sophie and Roxy zoomed all over the living room, chasing the little red light. They had a blast! I gave them each a big bone to work on today after I left. They've been having such nice weather this time!

Baxter & Bailey

This morning Baxter was sleeping on his bed and I could see the top of Bailey's head outside. I walked up to the door and he was just looking around. When he heard me open the door he came running! Bailey worked on eating his breakfast while Baxter was getting attention. Then Baxter decided to go join Bailey! After breakfast they wrestled around in the living room for awhile. Bailey wanted me to play too, so he hopped up on the couch behind me and tackled me! Later the boys both went outside and did a little exploring. Baxter came in and sat by me for his back scratches again after Bailey had laid down for a snooze. This evening there were two little dogs running around in the front yard when I pulled in! I thought they might be the neighbor's so I went and rang the doorbell. But, no one answered. Baxter and Bailey were both looking out the front window at me. Bailey still hadn't chewed anything else up, but this time had found a couple towels that were in the living room. He had gotten the two blankets off the washer and taken them back outside. After I put one blanket away, he grabbed it down again before I could put the other one up, so i scolded him. Little booger! He was good and left it alone after that. I went out and brought some of their toys back inside so he could take them back out instead. Haha! I listened for the neighbor dogs, but didn't hear them this time. Inside, Bailey fetched Baxter's meerkat toy and started playing with it, so Baxter went and grabbed the other end of it! They sort of played tug of war with it until Baxter gave up and wanted his back scratched. Bailey wandered over to the dishes and had some supper, then Baxter nibbled on some too. They both sat by me for some attention the rest of the time. I got them each their bedtime treat and headed outside, where the two little pups started barking at me! They were hanging around between your house and the neighbor's, so I'm positive they must have gotten out. Hopefully their owners will be home soon!

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon I checked the front to see if the lawn guys had come. They did and had been there hours ago, so I decided to let the pups stay out! I was finishing up some French fries when I came in, so after the boys and I went outside, they just sat and stared at me! "Can I have one?" After they were gone the boys each found a nice warm spot in the sun to curl up. Later Sugar came out to join us. All three little ones were waiting at the gate, watching me pull in the driveway this evening. Jimmy and Sugar took off towards the back door. We stayed out for a bit longer since it was nice out. Jimmy came over and sat in my lap while the other two decided to have some dinner. Jimmy went over while Buddy was eating, which he didn't like too much. They were good for the most part though, since I didn't have to break them up or anything! We all went inside and got their potatoes and meds ready. They sure get excited for their little treat! Afterwards Jimmy cuddled up with me, while Buddy and Sugar had some more for dinner. I gave them their last treat for the day, then it was off to bed!

Susie & Louis

Susie was basking in the sun and Louis was loving the shade when I arrived today! I gave Louis some scratches and he barked and wagged his tail. I hen walked over to Susie, who wagged her tail and rolled over for some belly rubs! After saying hello, I filled each bowl with fresh food and water. I then went back inside for the chewable vitamins and of course, it was treat day! I gave each their vitamins and then we played out in the yard. This time, I was going to give their treat at the end of my time, so they will play with me instead of enjoy their treats!! Louis ran back and forth between the deck and the yard, while Susie and I laid in the shade. Every once and awhile, he would stop over to say "Hi" and ask his sister to come and play, but she was content in the cool shade! It was time for me to go, so I asked them if they were ready for a treat. They both ran around the yard, each trying to nibble on each other's legs. Susie's nose found the treats, located on top of the grill. She took her treat to the shade, while Louis enjoyed his on the cool patio. See you two tomorrow!

Buckley, Chloe, Tizzy & JR

This afternoon the guys weren't there, so the pups had the yard to themselves. Chloe wasted no time today and made her way into the pool to swim some laps! Tizzy and JR were saying hi to me and trying to claim my lap already! They all ran over to their tree and were busy watching for birds and squirrels. Chloe started rolling around in the grass after her refreshing dip. Buckley decided to go all the way in the pool today. He fished out a leaf from the pool and carried it over to the shed. Then, JR stole it and shredded it up! After that JR decided to go get a couple of his own. Tizzy came and rolled over for a tummy rub. She then went to lay in the shade between the bars of the hammock stand, where that would normally hang. The boys wrestled around for a bit, then Buckley grabbed the big toy and played keep-away from JR. Later we headed inside to cool down. The pups all ran upstairs, so we sat on the couch for a bit. They each wanted my attention so they were all hopping in my lap, pawing at me or singing to me! Bootsie was woken up by all this and headed downstairs. I found him under the blankets again. This time the dogs came in with me and they got him out! Bootsie followed me into the kitchen and hopped up on the counter to help get their peanut butter snacks. Later he meowed at me to follow him and showed me where his food was!

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Buddy and Jimmy were already outside when I got there this afternoon. Dee had already given them a bunch of lovin' this morning! The boys came in and said hi to us both for a bit. She helped me get Sugar out from her hiding place under the bed and outside. Then i looked for Jimmy's collar. It was nice and warm out today so they got to spend the afternoon playing outside! Little miss Sugar was sitting at the gate waiting for me as I pulled in. So cute! They all got excited and ran back and forth between the back door and the gate. We stayed outside for a little longer since it was still so nice out! Jimmy and Buddy were busy searching in and around things for critters. Sugar headed inside and went to her favorite spot. The boys came in with me and waited in the kitchen for their potatoes! Sugar came out when she heard they were ready. After their meds, Buddy worked on supper and Jimmy snuggled up with me. I gave Charlie some fresh water and it sounded like he said, "Thank you!". The pups all got their snacks before it was time to go to bed.

Louis & Susie

Both Louis and Susie met me at the door this afternoon! They both took turns jumping, sniffing and kissing me! They ran around the deck, to the grass and back again as I filled their water and food dishes! Louis stayed to eat, while Susie and I went out to the grass to enjoy the sun. She sat down and put her paws up on my lap, while I scratched her belly! Susie is such a sweet girl! I took a close up of her, while she was getting some love and attention! Louis then came out and ran around the yard, talking to us with his low, little bark! Then he got really excited and started his low, loud barking! Susie took her turn at eating, and when her brother came over, she told him, with her little growl, to go away; he already had his turn! So, Louis and I went back to the grass to run around. I grabbed the soccer ball and threw it around the yard, but I was the only one playing! They would pretend like they were going to get it and then run right by it! We had a blast today! I gave each a few more scratches and said goodbye and sleep well!

Baxter & Bailey

This morning the boys were snoozing away so innocently! Bailey was on the chair in the corner and Baxter was on his bed. Nothing was chewed up today! Two of the blankets I had picked up had wandered their way outside though. I picked them up and put them on the washer since they got a little grassy. The boys and I stayed inside to play. Baxter and Bailey had some fun wrestling around for awhile! Then one of them would jump in my lap for safety! Later Bailey went out and brought in a toy to play with while Baxter got his back scratched. This evening I came inside and the boys were nowhere to be found! I walked out in the backyard and found them both on the side of the house saying hi to the neighbor dogs! As soon as they saw me they both came running over. I've been trying to work on keeping Bailey from jumping up, but he sure is a puppy and just wants to give kisses! We headed inside and Bailey wasted no time trying to jump in my lap. He's a little big for that! Haha! Then they both started messing around with each other again until they pooped themselves out! Eventually I had two sleepy pups at my feet. Baxter got up and sat by me while he could, to get his back scratched. Then Bailey would wake up and want some love too! Baxter and I took a little one-on-one time outside since Bailey was so full of energy. He's been very good though! Nothing was torn up or out of place this visit. I gave them each another treat before I left.

Buckley, Chloe, Tizzy & JR

This afternoon the pups were excited to get outside! They all raced to the back door. I noticed Bootsie was a little lump under the blankets on the bed as I passed by. Surprisingly, no one jumped in the pool right away. They all ran for their tree and sat under it. Then, they would move on to the next one or race to the back of the fence whenever they saw a bird or squirrel! Chloe eventually decided to take a dip in the pool. Then of course, like any dog would do, she had to roll around in some dirt! Tizzy came running and jumped up into my lap for some attention. JR came over next and got himself a drink. He kept looking into the pool like he was going to jump in, but just couldn't do it. Buck tested the water and only got his feet wet. He decided it wasn't just right, so then he came to sit next to me for a back scratch. Several times, Tizzy and JR were fighting over who got to sit in my lap by trying to push each other off! They would run over and leap into my lap and each try to crawl up higher than the other. I was laughing so hard! Then Chloe came and started singing at me. When it was time we headed in and they all went right to their room to wait for their treat! Chloe stole one of the baby's bones out of their kennel until I collected them all for the peanut butter. Through all the commotion, Bootsie was making his way upstairs, probably to go soak up some nice warm sunlight!
