Izzy, Daisy, Toby & fish

Today Izzy came zooming into the laundry room to see me when I got inside again. She started meowing and rubbing up against my legs, then weaved back and forth through them as we walked to her room. I put in a different Taylor Swift cd for her today. She followed me around as I cleaned her litter boxes. I went and fed the fish right away, then came back to spend some time with Izzy. Today we had some fun playing with her feather ball! Later I went to go check on the pups. They actually startled me because they were right there at the door! They had both been sleeping in the doggie house on the porch. I got them each a treat and pet them for a bit. Meanwhile, Izzy was pawing on the window at me. I spent a little longer with Izzy before it was time to go.

Jimmy, Sugar, Buddy & Charlie

This afternoon I let everyone outside when I arrived. It was pouring rain out, so they all quickly went potty, then returned to the safe and dry patio. They huddled up on their bed together, so we headed back in. This evening I walked in the door and was greeted by Jimmy and Buddy bouncing around me. I said hi to them then crackeHid up laughing when I saw Sugar standing on the back of the couch wagging her tail, looking overwhelmed with excitement. They all headed for the door, but realised it was cold and wet out, so they just stood there. Sugar even curled up on the bed there. I let them back in so they could take their meds and I could try letting them out again later. After they took their meds, I sat with them in the living room for awhile. Jimmy crawled up on the back of the couch and sat right above me and used my shoulder as a pillow. It was adorable! Then I heard constant jingling from Charlie's cage, and sure enough, I turn around and see him with his beak on top of his little bell, and he's intentionally ringing it and ringing it. It was too funny!

Winston

I got inside this afternoon and called for cute little Winston. I didn't see him, only a shredded up piece of paper towel as evidence that he was there! I picked that up quick, then continued my search. I saw him hiding under the bed, peeking out at me! He must have been scared by the thunder. When he saw me he came running out, then grabbed onto my pantleg and walked me around. I said hi to him for a minute, then we got him leashed up and headed outside. I took him for a short little walk in the least flooded spot I could find. After he finished his business, I picked it up. Then I picked him up, since we had a river to cross over to get to the garbage! He was such a good boy. We headed back to the house and played inside. He gave me a bunch of kisses, then was pulling on me to play. I grabbed his bone and we played some fetch! He's just so darn cute!!

Miranda

Miranda was right at the door to greet me as usual today. She wandered over to the back door and walked outside with me. She sat by me on the porch a little and enjoyed a back rub. You were right, I did have to scoot her off the porch to get wet and go potty! She did, then came right back on the dry patio. Soon we went inside and she seemed much more at ease, knowing she was safe from the rain!

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

Today I let the pooches outside when I arrived. They quickly ran out to go potty, then all three huddled up by the door as it started downpouring! We went back inside. Biscuit snuggled up on the couch with me for awhile. Dilly sat by me, then crawled up on the back of the couch, then wandered around some more. Soon miss Roxy brought a ball over and dropped it at my feet. I know she doesn't like running after it on the slippery floor, but I tossed it anyways. Biscuit leapt off the couch and went on the chase! Later I let Bert outside for her turn, with Dilly going out too, to keep her company. At first she and Dilly just sat by the door, not wanting to venture out. Then, a few birds went flying by, and they both took off like lightning! The girls raced around trying to catch them. I got them back inside before they had a chance to get muddy.

Daisy & Casper

Today I heard Casper run off as soon as I opened the door. I got them each a fresh can of food and topped off their dry kibble. Miss Daisy was sitting on the counter when I went in to feed her. I grabbed the scooper and cleaned their boxes next. Daisy hopped down and worked on her food once I went out. I fed all the fishies next, before going on the hunt for Casper. I looked in the closet a little, then headed upstairs. Since I didn't find him there, I went back to check the closet again. Sure enough, I guess I missed him! He came out and rubbed up against my back for a minute. Then, he sat in the bathroom and looked at me. Eventually he wandered off down the hall to find a new spot to hide and take a nap.

As soon as I got in the door today, Izzy came meowing and running to see me! I pet her hello, then we made our way to her room. I saw the note that was left for me. So I turned on some Taylor Swift for Izzy while I was there. As soon as I hit play, she gave me a little "Thank you" meow. She rubbed up against my legs while I cleaned her litter boxes. I sat on the floor with her a bit as she rolled around and stretched her legs out for me to pet her. Next I went to feed the fish. They were swimming around in the current from the filter. I wandered outside to go find the pups. They were both snoozing in their house, nice and dry. Toby and Daisy both ran out to see me. I checked their food and water and noticed Izzy was sitting in the window, watching me. I got the dogs each a treat, then let them go back to get out of the rain. Inside, Izzy loved me up the rest of the time, while we listened to her music.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Tonight Buddy was just crying for me to come in! When I finally did, both boys were bouncing up at my legs. I let them outside, then went to bring the rug in. On my way, I saw miss Sugar sprawled out on the bed! She did a big stretch, then rolled around in the blankets and pillows. She stayed there until the boys came back in and I got their meds ready. After they ate I gave them each a piece of egg. I broke Sugar's into tiny pieces. She just licked one, then decided she didn't want it. So the boys shared hers. Then, we went outside since it was pretty warm out, until bedtime.

Shelby, Boca & Jules

This morning I let the three of them out of their cages so they could stretch their legs. Shelby always zoomed straight to the backdoor so she could go outside. I refilled all their food and water bowls while she was busy. She came back inside and was running around my legs, wanting some attention. So we took a seat on the couch with Boca and snuggled, while Jules was over in the kitchen snoozing away. This afternoon was pretty much the same thing. I let them all out of their beds and Shelby outside while I took care of the food, water, and pans. Shelby came back inside and went to grab a bite to eat quick. Then she zoomed onto the couch and started rolling around crazily, knocking down all the pillows. I couldn't help, but laugh.

Bailey

This morning Bailey met me at the door with her little heiny wiggling away. We went outside so she could go potty quick. Then, she was ready for breakfast! She was so focused on watching the food cup that she ran into the garbage can. That made me laugh! She quickly gobbled down her food, then went and danced in the kitchen, "how-roo-roo"-ing for a treat. I got her a little snack, then we went back outside. It was so nice out! Bailey wandered around a bit, then sat in the grass and sniffed at the air. She came over by me for a little back scratch too. She gave me her paw when I asked, so then she thought she needed another treat! Haha! I made her wait a little while, but she got a couple before it was time to go.
