Zeus, Zena & Baby

Zeus and Zena started barking when they heard me pull in. They were both doing a happy little wiggle dance in their cages! It was cloudy out today, but still a nice afternoon. Zeus and Zena were messiong around with each other for a little bit. Then, they all did some exploring. We heard some dogs barking in the neighborhood, which got them excited. Even Baby chimed in, talking back to the other dogs. When I let Zeus and Zena back in, I got Baby some more fresh water.

Miranda

This afternoon Miranda met me at the door to see who was home, then ran to wait at the back door. When I opened it, she ran the opposite way to quick grab a bone to bring out with us. She did her business, then sat by me for a quick back scratch. Then, she laid down on the patio for a bit. We played a little tug before it was time to head back inside.

Jerrie & Kimmie

This morning the kitties were both lounging on the kitty tree, looking out the window. After I delivered the mail Kimmie came to watch me clean their litter boxes. She raced out ahead of me on our way to the bathroom, then slowed down so I would have to stop and pet her! She climbed up by me while I refilled that water bowl. She rubbed up against my legs the whole way back to the front room. She was very snuggly again today! She immediately hopped up in my lap before Jerrie could, so he stayed on his perch. She rolled around in my lap for awhile, purring away and loving up the attention. Next I gave Jerrie his turn at a brushing. Kimmie kept trying to steal my attention back! I cleaned Jerrie's eyes and they looked much better today than they have been the last few days.

Tipper, Roz, Meeko, Georgia, Sky & horses

This morning the girls were dancing around excitedly when I let them out of their beds. They went outside for a bit while I took care of Meeko. He was chirping quite a bit this morning! He hung on the side of the cage and chewed on his crispy treat while I changed out his food and water. The girls came in for their breakfast next. Roz snuck a bite out of her food container while I got hers ready! Sneaky girl. I made sure she didn't get any of Tipper's. They quickly finished off their food, so they got their bones to work on next. I went to visit the kittens, and one shot out of the door as soon as I opened it! Of course little kitty wasn't fast enough for me, and I grabbed her before she got past me. I had my little snuggler in my lap while I played with the other. Later I went to see the horses. I put another bail out in the ring for them for today. They all decided to start eating it right away, each picking a spot. This evening the girls were jumping up and down at the back door when they saw me arrive. I let them in to come eat their dinner and get their snacks. Tonight the kitties made me laugh. They were crashing into each other trying to jump up at the feather toy! Then, one had the feathers in her mouth and tried walking away while I was still holding the other end. I finally let go and she dragged it away, with the other kitten chasing after the handle! The girls came outside with me while I went to go feed the horses. They were all standing in the front of the pasture, and made their way to their spots when they saw me coming. I got them some more hay and water, then went back up to the house to play with Tipper and Roz.

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

Today Dilly hopped up in my lap when we got outside and she gave me tons of kisses. Roxy wandered around for a minute, looking for a ball or something to play fetch with. So I let her back inside to go grab a toy. She picked her rope toy. Biscuit was busy sniffing around at the other end of the yard, so she got some uninterrupted fetch in today. Later Biscuit saw we were playing and came running over to join in. Bert came outside next and sat by me for a quick pet before she ran off to play. She and Dilly started chasing each other around. Then they were looking at each other under either corner of the shed. It was so funny! Bert later picked up her little purple spider toy and brought it over to show me.

Jimmy, Sugar, Buddy & Charlie

This afternoon the pups enjoyed the nice weather again. They ran around and felt the nice breeze on their ears. They kept coming over by me for attention, all three of them at the same time once. They kept climbing on my lap and giving me kisses. This evening we went outside for a bit. I think they were more focused on getting back inside so they could have their taters. After the boys took their meds and Sugar had a little snack, they all went off and did their own thing. Buddy was chewing on a bone. Sugar was laying down. I heard a clatter and suddenly Jimmy is charging around the corner with a Christmas toy in his mouth, full speed toward me. He cracked me up!

Miranda

This afternoon was a great day to play outside. Miranda pounced around after her toys whenever I threw them for her. Nice weather put her in such good moods. We relaxed in the sun again when she got worn out. I took her back inside to get a drink when she seemed a bit parched. Then I gave her a little back scratch before I had to go. She loves back scratches.

Chelsea

Chelsea was happy to see me this morning, dancing in circles while I pet her! She lead me to the kitchen and helped me get out her breakfast. Afterwards, she took a little potty break, then came back in asking to go for our walk. It was so nice out already this morning! We went for a nice long walk in the neighborhood. She stopped along the way to sniff at things here and there. When we got home I got her her glucosamine pill. Then we laid in the living room for a little bit and she got her belly rubbed. Before I left she sat and gave me a shake of her paw for a treat.

Jerrie & Kimmie

Both Jerrie and Kimmie were very snuggly today! Kimmie came running out of the front room when I got in and was attached to my legs the whole time while I tended to their things. Jerrie was lounging in his chair and awaited my return. When I walked in, he immediately got up and came over to me. He rolled around on the floor, purring away as I brushed him. Even Kimmie wanted to scratch her chin on the brush a little. I was petting Kimmie with one hand and brushing Jerrie with the other. I had to keep my eye on Kimmie though, because soon she became playful and swatted at my hand! Jerrie was just loving up his brushing time, rubbing his face on my knees for more attention.

Tipper, Roz, Meeko, Georgia, Sky & horses

This morning when I walked in, Tipper was laying on her back with her legs in the air! She rolled over before I could get a picture. It was so funny! I let her and Roz outside quick before breakfast. While they were out, I went to feed Meeko. He gave me a laugh this morning too, when he had to go dip his rice crispy treat in some water! After Tipper and Roz ate their breakfast I went to see the kitties. The one curled up in my lap as usual while the other was playfully hopping back and forth over my legs. I went to go let Marie and Chicka out to the main pasture while the dogs played outside. Instead of them going out, Belle and Skippy came in and they all stood at the gate to say hi. Tipper had the bone when I got back to the yard, so she wasn't interested in fetch at the time. Roz kept chasing her around trying to get it back. The girls had another beautiful day to spend outside. When I arrived this evening I peeked in at Meeko and saw he'd dumped his food bowl over, so I got him a little more. Both girls were waiting for me patiently at the back door, looking in at me. I fed them dinner, then visited the kittens. They are just so darn cute! Their blanket was all the way on the other side of the garage, so they must have had some fun. I grabbed an end to pull it back over, and one kitten hopped on for a ride! The horses were all ready to eat their dinner too when I got out there. Skippy was still in by Marie and Chicka, but after a couple shakes of the feed bucket, he came trotting over. Tipper was ready to play some fetch tonight. We played until she got tired and laid down for a rest. Roz sat by me and got pet for awhile, then she laid on the patio and chewed on her bone. When it was time, they came in and got their bedtime snack.
