Jerrie & Kimmie

caThis morning Jerrie and Kimmie were each curled up on their own tier of the kitty tower. Kimmie immediately hopped down and ran along behind me to the laundry room. She veered off and sat on the back of the couch to wait for me. When I walked out, she sat up and stuck her head almost under the lampshade to hide herself! I went back in by Jerrie to give him a brushing. He climbed down and curled up in my lap for a little while. Later I went to go see where Kimmie was, and she was sitting at the back door, either watching the rain or some birds. She followed me back and watched out the front window while I pet Jerrie a little longer. Then, Kimmie hopped up to the top of the tower and hung over the side, looking down at me! She's such a silly cat! She playfully swatted at my fingers for awhile.

Shiner

This morning I came in to see a wet little husky! She must have just come in from the rain. She was excited to see me. I said hi to her, then got her breakfast ready. She curled up in her spot and waited for me to deliver it. After she finished, we sat in the laundry room and she got another long belly rub today. She did her silly pawing at me so I wouldn't stop! Shiner would roll to her side and lay her head in my lap, looking up at me. "Thank you!" Then she would lick my arm or give me kisses on my chin in return. Such a sweetie pie!

Tipper, Roz, Meeko, Sky, Georgia & horses

Tonight I let Tipper and Roxy outside when I arrived. They both said hi to me, then wandered off to go potty. We came back inside and I got their dinner ready. Tipper, was of course, ready to play some fetch! She had her ball and almost didn't want to put it down for dinner. They both polished off their bowls, then got their bone snack. While they worked on those, I went to visit the kitties. Both started instantly purring when I got inside! One of them helped me out cleaning the litterbox, while the other was rubbing up against my legs. We played with their feather toy for a little bit. Both Georgia and Sky would take turns hopping up to try and catch it. I went back in by the girls next and we went to play outside. Later I checked on the hires quick and they all came over to see who was there. Marie came all the way to the fence and let me pet her a bit. The rest of the time I played with the pups. Tipper didn't want to give up her ball at first. She would prance around and dance little circles around me, getting pet along the way. Roz was busy climbing up into the tree house and trying to peek under the fence at the dog we could hear barking somewhere in the neighborhood. I figured out if I pretended to ignore Tipper, she would then put her ball down right behind me! So we got some good fetch time in. It was so fun to watch her go after it! Eventually both girls got tired and they came to lay by me for some attention before it was time for bed.

Shiner

Tonight Shiner was standing at the fence watching me pull in. As soon as I got out of the car, she went leaping to the back door! She was happily waiting inside for me. I gave her a big hug and back scratch hello. Then, I got her dinner ready. She was already comfy on her bed, ready to chow down! After dinner I gave her a cookie, which she took outside to enjoy. I waited on the porch for her to finish. Then I called her and she came running! She plopped down next to me and enjoyed a long belly scratch. She kept rolling over trying to decide which side she wanted scratched. Shiner would playfully paw at me to keep rubbing her belly, then gave me plenty of kisses in return!

Jerrie & Kimmie

Today I didn't see the kitties in their usual spots when I walked in. So, I went to visit mom for a minute and then got to cleaning up and refilling their food and water. Then when I went back in the front room, they were both there waiting for me. Jerrie was snuggled up on the middle tier, sunning himself. He was so warm! I brushed him a little, while Kimmie was wandering around. Then Kimmie and I played. She peeked through the tunnel at me while I scratched around in different areas. Later, I discovered she likes to chase lights! I used my phone to reflect the sunlight onto the walls. She would chase after and tilt her head sideways, looking at it curiously. She always makes me laugh!

Ginger, Scout & Tiger

This morning everyone was a little sleepyhead! All three looked up at me from where they were laying, "Oh you're here!" Then, they all hopped up and were ready to go outside. Ginger was first back at the door. I let her and Tiger in while I went to see Scotch. He still had a little food left over from yesterday, so I just refreshed his water. Scout was still hanging outside, so Ginger, Tiger and I went back out by her. It was actually pretty nice out. Ginger stayed by me, hugging on my knee for attention. Tiger wandered around the yard and explored, while Scout just lounged around in the grass. Later we headed in and got them each a snack after Ginger got her meds.

Ginger, Scout & Tiger

This morning it was very chilly outside. I let the pups outside and they quickly did their business. Ginger was first to come back inside, then Tiger. To my surprise, Scout actually stayed out for a little bit. I got everyone their breakfast and Ginger her morning meds. They took turns coming by me for some attention. I had given them each a bone and Ginger decided to try and bury it in their beds! It was funny to watch her try to nose it over her snack. This afternoon it was so nice out. I let them play outside for most of the time. Scout sat by the fence to watch the neighbor puppies play. Then, I decided to take them all for a walk. That got Tiger excited! He galloped into the laundry room and was first to get his leash on. As we were walking, another lady was taking her golden out for a walk. She recognized the pups and said hi! This evening I let the babies out so they could take care of their business. Ginger started scratching at the door when the three of them were done. They came back in and waited patiently for their treats. I gave them each a piece and they ate them in their own areas. When they finished, I gathered them all back into the kitchen. Scout and Tiger ate while Ginger scurried off to continue chewing on a bone. Once they had their fill, they came over and sat with me, wanting some attention. Scout would scratch at me whenever I would stop petting her. Tiger would just get really close to my face like "I'm here. Pet me now, please."

Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

This afternoon I let the three little ones outside while I cleaned up a small accident in the kitchen. When I got back out, they all were bouncing up at me to say hi! This time both Dilly and Roxy took a turn on my lap for some attention. Then, they wandered off to go explore on this gorgeous day! Later Roxy brought me her ducky toy. She played a little tug with me in between throws. She sure likes that toy! Next it was Bert's turn outside. She ran around with Dilly and Biscuit, from one side of the yard to another to bark at stuff. Dilly spent most of her time inspecting underneath the shed. Bert ran and pounced on her hedgehog toy, then ran around with it. She playfully shook it around, then brought it over for a little game of fetch.

Jerrie & Kimmie

This morning Jerrie was lounging on his chair comfortably. Kimmie was sitting in the window, enjoying the warm sunshine. Kimmie followed me around while I took care of their things. Back in the front room, I started brushing Jerrie for awhile. Kimmie finally made her way back in by us and she went and hid behind the curtain. After I gave Jerrie plenty of brushing time, I started to play with Kimmie. She would stick a paw out and randomly swat in different areas trying to catch me! It was so funny! Jerrie must have been really comfortable, because he didn't move from his spot the whole time I was there.

Baxter & Bubba

Today the boys were asleep in the living room again. They both woke up and stretched when they saw me. Bubba followed me around until I got to his food first this time. He must have been extra hungry today. He nibbled on his food while I fixed Baxter's. He had eaten every bite of his food from yesterday. He usually ate a decent amount, but he actually ate it all for once. What a good boy. He danced around on his paws back and forth while he watched me fix his food. Finally I gave it to him and he was in heaven, chowing down like it was his birthday. Meanwhile, I took care of the cat litter and refilled his water bucket with fresh water. When he was done, he went into the living room and sat down, watching me in the kitchen, through the opening above the sink. I kept talking to him and he would tilt his head at me like "What? I don't get it."
