Bella & Zoe

This morning the sleepy puppies woke up when I opened the door. Zoe started barking right away and bouncing up and down. Bella just followed me around until I stopped and let her give me a smooch. They both charged out the backdoor. Bella didn't linger, she took care of business right away. It was cold out. Zoe, on the other hand, was running around the fence like a bullet, so excited she couldn't handle it. When they came back inside, I sat down and was attacked with kisses from both of them again. They each got their treats, then started chasing eachother around. Bella wanted the bone Zoe stole from her. It was quite amusing. That night when I showed up, Bella was jumping all over the place this time. She followed me to the backdoor and zoomed out with Zoe. I refilled their bowls while they were out. Bella let me know when they were done. They came back in and Bella took a nice, long drink, getting me drenched in water with kisses after. Zoe was zooming around the place like it was her playground. They were so hyper tonight!

Chloe

Chloe was sleepy this morning when I arrived. She gave me some kisses to say hello, then we went outside. It was chilly out, but she didn't mind. She wandered around for a bit, then brought me back her frizbee so we could play. We headed back inside and she wanted to share her chair by the window with me. She layed down on my lap and dozed off a bit. This evening she was sitting behind the door, knowing when I was going to arrive. I gave her a hug then we went out back. She dropped her frizbee at my feet so we could play some more. She abandoned it in the yard somewhere when she had her fill. We went back inside and she still hadn't eaten much, so I sat with her, seeing if having company would help. She ate a little bit for me, then went and layed down behind the couch.

Sarge

Sarge was so happy to get out and play this afternoon. He bounced up and down, beating me to the backdoor again. I finally got him to calm down for two seconds so he could go potty. Then he started rolling around in the grass. When he was ready to go back in, he sat patiently and let me go in first. We got inside and he layed down on his cozy bed so I could rub his belly.

Piglet, Echo, Zephyr, Tony & Chickens

Today I heard one of the roosters do his morning call as I walked up to the house. Echo and Zephyr came running and were dancing around me as I made my way to the laundry room. They were very lovey this morning! Echo was rubbing her face on the food container. Zephyr came over and rubbed against the wall next. They worked on their yummy breakfast while I cleaned their boxes. I went out to feed the chickens next. Tony was standing at the door ready to come out. The chickens scurried to eat the lettuce as I scattered pieces for them. Back inside, I went to look for Piglet. She was snuggled up all cozy on her pillow by the bed. It was misting out this morning and the grass was very wet, so I left it up to her if she wanted to go for a walk. We took a short one, just long enough to do her business. Then, she cut back towards home. This evening little Piglet was watching out the window as I pulled in. Zephyr came running from the kitchen for some attention. The kitties thought they were going to get some more canned food when I got Piglet's dinner ready. The chicken and Tony were all gathered by the door this evening. They gathered around and ran for the coop when I tossed in their mealworms and night time snack. The little rooster had knocked over his water dish, so I made sure to refill that. I gave them some extra feed this evening too since it was getting low. I went back inside to get Piglet, and we went for a nice long walk around the pasture. She was such a good girl! When we finished she worked on her dinner and got a snack before I left.

Bella & Zoe

This morning Bella was all curled up on the couch when I showed up. She quickly ran to see me while I let Zoe out of the kitchen. I let them outside while I filled up their food and water bowls. Bella scratched at the door to let me know when they were done. I let them back in and they both started demanding attention. Zoe was jumping all over me and Bella was giving me lots of kisses. I felt so special! Then they settled down for awhile so I could give them treats. Tonight when I arrived, Bella was at my heels again while I let out Zoe. They went outside for me, regardless of the rain. I let them dry off in the kitchen for a minute or two before releasing them into the rest of the house. They weren't quite as energetic tonight as they were this morning. I think they were sleepy. They each grabbed a bone and picked a spot to chew on them.

Chloe

Chloe was hiding behind the corner when I showed up this evening. She barked once or twice until I managed to get the lights on, then she recognized me and ran to say hello. She was suddenly filled with so much energy, she was jumping to get to the backdoor. I let her out right away. Even though it was raining, she still went out and took care of her business with no problem. She came back and knew it was time to play. I found one of her small, stuffed toys and she immediately stole it, playing keep away with it. She was going crazy, running around me and trying to get me to grab it before she quickly pulled away. She finally got worn out and layed down for a bit while giving me lots of slobbery kisses.

Sarge

Sarge charged out of his kennel this afternoon. He beat me to the door then we headed out. He was bouncing up and down, trying to get me to stop and give him attention, but I led him to the grass so he would take care of business first. Once he was done, it was back to hopping. He would put both paws up on me so I would catch them and hold his hands. It was so cute! We went back in and after he got a drink, we sat by his bed and he got a tummy rub.

Toby, Tyson & Morgan

<p>This morning I headed in by Toby to give him his morning belly rub! He rolled over and enjoyed it for quite awhile. Then, it was time for breakfast! Once he finished off his food, we decided to go out for a morning walk. It was a little on the chilly side, but he didn't seem to mind. The kitties were both waiting by the door for us to return. This afternoon Toby got another long belly scratch before he came running out. After he got to play outside for a few minutes, he came in and we played fetch with his kitty. Morgan was in a playful mood again too. He chased after my hands as I moved them around on the carpet. I found a hair tie that I flung around for him a bit too. It was funny to see Morgan race after it! Tyson, was of course, content in his sink, drinking his water. He came and rolled around in the kitchen by me for some attention too.</p>

Piglet, Echo, Zephyr, Tony & Chickens

This morning Piglet curled up on her bed by the window and watched me. Echo came around the corner of the kitchen and stopped for a quick pet. She and Zephyr both hopped up by their food bowls and were dancing around excitedly for breakfast! They were moving so much I couldn't get a picture. Next I went outside to let Tony and the chickens out. He puffed up and was following me around. I pet him for a second while I spread their food. I went back in by Piglet and tried to get her to warm up to me a little, since she was being a bit shy. A couple treats helped! This evening Piglet was standing in the window, watching to see who was home. The kitties both came out to say hi and followed me around in the kitchen. I put Piglet's food in her bowl, then headed out to tuck the chickens in for the night. I wanted to take Piglet for a walk tonight, but the rain had started awhile before I got there. Everyone was inside the coop, snuggled up together on the highest perch. Tony was on the lower one. The little rooster came out of his house to see me as I gave him his portion of the snacks. Back inside I got Piglet leashed up and we headed outside so she could go potty. She no more than got off the patio, did her business right next to it, then was back under the shelter of the roof! Once we got back in, she started working on her dinner. I gave her a treat before I left.

Bella & Zoe

This morning when I arrived, Bella met me at the door excitedly. She wagged her tiny tail and gave me kisses. I went to see Zoe, whom was jumping all over the place and barking like crazy. She was so happy to get some company. Before I played with them, I let them outside. Neither of them had eaten much, but they still did their business for me. They ran back to the door when they were finished. We headed inside and they both got a treat. Zoe was all about running around and trying to get attention. She kept picking up bones and toys, then dropping them and grabbing something else. Bella was just demanding love and hugs the whole time. When I came by tonight, Bella met me at the door again. Zoe wasn't barking as much this time, recognizing me. They both went out for me again. We headed back inside and they got treats. This time, Bella wanted to sit and chew on a bone for a bit. Zoe immediately wanted the same bone. So they fought over it for awhile, until Bella gave up and went to eat. Zoe still hadn't eaten much, so I tried sitting with her to see if that was the problem. Sure enough, she started eating for me. After that, I let them out one more time before bed.
